Samus' Magic Armor?

I have no video of this, so I'll have to see if I can duplicate it when I have another human being present. (My apologies.) I am not certain if this has been posted here at the Samus Character Chat. Well, as many of you might know, there are characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl who have this "magic armor." I've managed to use this when I was Donkey Kong, and I used by charged neutral B. I got hit, but I didn't flinch. What's the relevance of this in a Samus forum? Let me tell you.

When it was midnight on May 29, 2008, I was in Basic Brawl. Another Samus was present. This person and I went at it, though the other two opponents would intentionally get in our way. Here's what happened. We went to the overrated stage, Final Destination, and my opponent was charging up his/her(?) Charge Shot. I got near, and then I used my tether on him/her(?). The strange thing was, when I was about to grab, I got shot, but I still grabbed and didn't flinch, though my damage went up by 25%.

Does Samus have a magic armor that has not been noted, or even known by the Smash masses?

Yep, this has been noted.
All that happens is that you take the damage, but you complete the grab.
Every character does this.

The magic armor is more commonly referred to on the boards as super armor.

Just all grabs have "grab priority" which is exactly like super armor. Normally it would have been an exchange of hits(both get hurt and knockback), but since it was a grab at the same time you get hit but do not get knocked back.
You could recreate it with all other grabs of all other characters.
and... this part I'm not sure on 100%, I think it doesn't qualify as super armor because it is possible for you to still get hit by something else, like another person or a hazard, and get knocked back.

Imho, Samus either needs one of these-
A. Super Armor, just because it would be cool
or
B. A screwattack+spacejump more like ROBs, then you could go into a screw attack all at random times and be a *****(just like Meta-knights shuttle loop)
or finally
C. She gets to crawl, and it means going into a morphball! Dtilt becomes the static bomb drop, Dsmash becomes her current dtilt, Down-B becomes the Speed Booster.

But Sakurai is a loser and hates Metroid, so it didn't happen.

Ah, all right. I thought it was a new discovery. I was amazed to have seen it occur early this morning when I fought the other Samus. I asked my brother, "Did you just see that?" I wasn't sure if I saw what I thought I had seen, since I was brawling until 2:00 AM.

Eten, I agree with you. It would be even cooler if Samus' defense rose depending on the colored armor she wore.

This is actually controller slot priority. If a grab were to connect in the same frame that person was hit, Super Armor kicks in. However this should only work for the person in highest controller slot, meaning controller slot number four is the highest slot you can choose.

For stuff like Link's bombs, yet. However for grab priority and stuff like Bowser's Body Slam it's the closest to the fourth port.

for bowsercide it's the 1st slot that grants bowser victory over sudden death, i'm not sure if it's whoever is closer to 1st slot or if bowser has to have 1st slot, but regardless it's not 4th slot

I was talking about priority with the move itself. But on second recollection it would seem as though it's not considered to be a grab in this game.
