Ok first off wow I can see why you guys were upset with my D1 play, but whatever we can complain about me being bad later. This has been a productive reread.

I think I was offbase calling Joey town for his aggressive pursuit of my claim. At the time I was pretty convinced there'd be no way he'd be so out there, but really his push there wasn't exactly the riskiest thing to do when he could just deny seeing town intent.... but not when he was asked to take a closer look at it on a number of occasions and flat out was like 'nah there's no way'. He immediately drops the pressure once I make my big post, but (and hindsight is 20/20) I'd say now it looks more like he was happy to let me push Orbo/Rake.

There's a few posts in particular I want to shine a light on. First up is one of Maven's few posts.

I like Gheb's posts, and have him a town read

Bardull I do not like, I feel he came on way too strong over nothing.

Joey I just have as null, I didn't read him either way

3 reads on 3 very highly discussed slots, one town read, one scum read, one null read, zero reasons given. Maven as traitor would have a super hard time NOT addressing the slots he knew were aligned with him, but of course also would want to keep them as spread out as possible to hedge his bets. Given Bardull's overall play, Gheb's current situation, and reflecting on Joey's early play this is SUPER odd to me.

I really like Kary's slot in this game, Kary/Gheb are my two strongest town reads

I have FireEmblem as scum, Bardull/Rake as maybe scum.

Another thing I see scum do a lot: group a scummate with another player to keep them obscured. Here it happens twice, again splitting the two suspected players in separate categories without reasoning behind it.

The above exchange I feel is a massive clue towards a Joey/Bardull/Gheb scumteam.

Bardull's recent claim is sitting right to me.

Lots of Gheb in this post again, though to be fair Kary has come up an equal amount here. I believe that's him lumping in the towniest looking slot with his scummate yet again. Also hey whaddya know he believes Bardull's claim!

Likely just a bluff, but the fact that we've seen nothing actually come from it AND he's flipped scum makes me very wary. Joey is more than acceptable today too though.

If a flip is revealed every time a new Daykill/lynch occurs I would rather play it safe by lynching Joey to see if Bardull was scum. If Bardull is revealed as town we have a clear Gheb so lynching him would be kind of silly.

This game started with 11 players. Glyph is proposing 3 scum and a traitor.

One mislynch = 9 players
Two mislynches + Misuse of Glyph's Day Kill = 6 players
Hell, even Glyph not giving a Day Kill ends us up with 7 players after 2 mislynches.

Day 3 starts with 6/7 players, 4 to lynch, scum + traitor can alpha.

No way the game was swingy enough to end from only 2 mislynches. That would mean town only has one mislynch to play with.

What this means is that it's likely 2 scum + a traitor. This fact makes the reason I wrote off FiE - his statement about potentially 2 scum - not as ridiculous, and actually slightly suspicious.

Now, I like Glyph for his role and the way he used it. However, I do not like his current avenue of going after Gheb. If Bardull were to flip town I would certainly look into Glyph as potentially a scum Inventor. Gheb would be cleared in that situation.

I feel there is indeed a chance, but there's no such thing as a guaranteed flip in mafia. There's way too much point to Gheb outside of the connection to Bardull (namely the jan stuff I discussed before) to let it slide. Of course Gheb would be cleared if Bardull did flip town but that's pretty obvious.

Gheb shoots his scummate regardless since Bardull was a dead man no matter what, and doing so at least gets him town points and a better shot at winning. Besides, think about the position I put him in. Sure he has a shot, but if he doesn't use it I expose him for waiting too long. He can't just shoot arbitrarily, since we all know he has the shot and will come down hard on him for a bad shot.

I'm willing to lynch Joey today, but will not allow Gheb to be on the lynch at all.

I believed Bardull's claim. I don't see Gheb scum because of this.

Glyph, lie detector isn't a new role. It has been in a past game on Dgames or Mafiascum (I can't remember which), and it worked in the exact same way that it worked here. Someone would say something in thread, and the user could PM the mod the statement, asking if it was true or false.

That works both for and against Bardull. Bardull could have fake claimed it since it isn't a brand new thing, but it's odd enough to where it wouldn't be in most games that aren't upicks. However, it is a legitimate role that has been used successfully in a game hosted on this site or mafiascum (since those are the only two mafia sites I play on). I still believe his claim regardless though.
