Deadline extension, meh. I didn't think I would need to announce it, but I'll be away from home for Friday & Saturday. I might still be able to do some quick actions on my dad's iPad in case a hammer is needed. To be frank, I don't have strong tells other than the ones I skimped out this morning. I don't want to see TAWNN, S-Tier, or Swiss lynched. Even though S-Tier's JTB/Red Ryu push the entire day just seems incredibly asinine and I couldn't get definitive substance from it, he is trying to push and create a lynch opportunity. I still don't see how JTB's play is scummy. It's certainly lacking in many regards, but the scum intent isn't smacking me in the face like it is for Swiss/S-tier.
Ranmaru asked me why I found J shifty, look at what I post and look how J reacts. No I didn't read J's list since I wanted to save that for after I finished my own. I'm mostly going off how I state that I want to give J a chance and J promptly starts pumping out a reads list and tells me the bad vibes on me have dissipated. I do an analysis on S-Tier, think he has had a questionable reaction, J tells me he has a scum tell (didn't elaborate as far as I know) and then offered him up as a secondary lynch. And yes, I apologize for skimming, but again I'm just outing out a lot of what I feel atm since I don't have the time to use this extension effectively and am forced to depart from trying to build up my reads gradually (**** takes up too much time).
Soup~ I asked you if AM was town, because as Spidermang noted he wasted a lot of his beginning play on discussing hydra discussion. I honestly don't see how or why someone would get so passionate about having the provision of masking their play. It is not pro town play. And I feel this way because I personally find the debate fruitless.
Either way I hate reading two separate slots that each do 1/4 of the work expecting the other half to pull their share of the weight. I also hate reading a hydra that is active, but has conflicting stances at every step of the game. So to me, the hydra problem will always be a perpetual problem, but it is not going to be the underlying problem that will be why town will likely lose this game.
A lot of these pushes have little to no weight. The player list is largely suspect or largely unavailable. But really I'm not really swooned by AM's play which from my experienced has swooned me on many an occasion. Tipping point on AM came when I offered myself to be pressured and he posted a rocket missle sign. Struck as me being such a cursory and surface response. Then again this was the same tipping point that caused me to dislike Spidermang's slot. Either they are both scum or my statement did deserve pressure. It is something that I need to reconsider from outside my own perspective.
Now I know I'm being a hypocrite. I've noted many times that my play could be better at many points, but for a senior cast of players the lack of pressure and heat in this game is jarring. Out of anything that has happened today, Guus's reaction to pressure has been the most vivid thing that has popped out of a game. I don't like players who have gone along with the flow of the game. And again look at me, the guy who wants to build up slow reads and only has recently decided to lazily stream reads as per lazy convenience. But no really, there is zero desire to have found anything happening in this game to be remotely desirable to not shift something to a more action oriented and effective atmosphere. Imo scum would have loved for the tunnels to have drone on, unless of course it was on them. Pressure on slots v. pressure off that slot needs to be weighed with how much apathy is too much apathy.
But more or less, I'm not particularly a fan of this slot despite it's constant presence in the game thus far and for some of the reasons aforementioned, I would have expected differently.
