Krystal would make a far better character than Dixie Kong.
Isaac would make a far better character than Shulk
A box of Fruity Pebbles would make a far better character than Toad.
-Krystal and Dixie Kong IMO could both make some solid to amazing playable characters depending in the execution.
-Isaac and Shulk would both be amazing.
-Toad's not gonna be playable. Toad fans... just don't keep hurting yourself. :urg:

This thread has gone from cool and awesome hype (especially with Deity banned) to just going downhill into awful arguments for awful things...
Awful things like Sheriff, Diskun, N64 Logo, and Hanafuda? Methinks people support them for the sake of being random. Wii Fit Trainer may be random but at least she made sense.

Does anyone else see this game as the one he's been the least excited about?

Feel free to tell me to sod off, but he's stated in the past, he's not to crazy working on sequels, he's had some type of feels regarding the series in general after melee and brawl [adding tripping, then realizing you hurt everyone when you do that, thinking he can balance the game by himself, three kirby reps.]

and while it's sort of reading into things, the game website is no where near the level of dojo, and is more or less an advertising platform for new games. also no title[3DS/Wii U]

When you think about it, the Wii Fit Trainer is like Zero Suit Samus: It makes total sense.

I mean, both are from major Nintendo franchise, and both are the main characters.

The problem I had with the Wii Fit Trainer is I thought initially it was a made up character. I haven't played Wii Fit or a Wii Fit game before, but once I looked it up and found out she's an actual character, it made sense. If people who played Wii Fit brought that game up for anything before, maybe we would have speculated about it.

But as it stands, no one really did. Like ever.

Fortunately I was smart enough to not discount the Villager as a likely playable character, unlike many (smart) people did.

I support a Hanafuda character for it's importance in Nintendo's history. I have common reasoning you know, not for the sake of being random. :smirk:

I don't get why anyone likes hidden characters. In Brawl it was literally a pain to unlock them all through the SSE (because the SSE was dreadful IMO).

Little did I realize that it was kinda a metaphor for Brawl for me: Tedious, but you're hopeful and excited for what is on the other end!!!

But yeah, secret characters (maybe sans like 3 or 4) should go away. It's a dated concept that no game really uses anymore.

First Nintendo Character doesn't make sense? Mascot for the Famicom Disk System doesn't make sense. Says you.

Well you see the difference is that Diskun has high potential and is related to the gaming industry side of Nintendo. Sherifff has little potential, but it makes some sense because he's the first Nintendo character. Hanafuda is unreleated to the gaming industry and just doesn't seem to work as a playable character in anyway.

You missed an argument regarding Palutena, K. Rool being "too big", Toon Link becoming a starter, ect.
..................whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? King K. Rool is like the size of King Dedede, and Palutena is like the size of Zelda. And why the hell would a second version of a character who is also a clone be a starter?

I like hidden characters tthat you get from just playing matches, that way the roster slowly expands, limiting characters.

Unlocking characters is my favorite thing in video games. It's the most exciting part about a roster and you'd have to be stupid to get rid of it. And for a game like Smash it's entirely necessary when you have clones, powerful characters, obscure characters, and personas of other characters.

I never said "undeserving"... I said "awful". :troll:
Oh, well that's entirely understandable then.

I'd rather it just go away, sans the single-player, or at least be an option.

It's gone from Street Fighter, gone from Tekken, gone from Soul Calibur, gone from King of Fighter... why can't it go away for Smash=???

Please no more Diskun discussion...

... having a logo for a character or a game system for a character, whichever you want to call it, is pretty dumb IMO.

(Thats your cue, SaturnGamer) :troll:

It increases the longevity of the game and keeps it fresh. The way the industry is going is "pay to play". Micro transactions for new features and whatnot. Unlocking things through playing gives a sense of reward and a want to continue to play to see if you can get anything.

If they remove the unlocking characters feature, the game loses its entire casual fanbase, because thats a large part of why they play.

Also, thats like asking Sakurai to have the game complete as soon as you buy it :D

R.O.B. is bigger than Ridley. If R.O.B. can be resized, then Ridley can be resized but he will have to be smaller than R.O.B. :troll:

Diskun is a mascot, dummy. He appeared in a game as the main character. I guess it's stupid to have ROB because he's a toy. Am I seriously hearing arguments this ignorant?

Correction... a toy robot... which is infinitely more awesome than a static drawing of a cross-eyed anthropomorphic floppy disk. :troll:

Mr. Game & Watch is a stick figure and is one of the most unique and well received characters. Try harder :troll:

You're argument is about as valid as "Ridley is too big"

Mr. Game & Watch actually did stuff in his own games that can easily be translated into Smash moves... Diskun doesn't have his own game... and the best you can come up with is scuttling, spinning, and copying other characters. Try harder. :awesome:

oh my god, are you really this dumb?

  • Diskun DOES have his own game
  • I NEVER suggested him copying characters. I said he can copy anything from Famicom games because that's what Disks do. So he's basically another Mr. Game & Watch.
  • This is the best YOU can come up with, not me. If you're gonna straight out lie, be bias, and spew bull ****. You are clearly not trying at all and are being bias. I'm not listening to your bias crap anymore. You clearly don't research, use valid arguments, or even basic logic.
