Not only has that toy been featured in quite a few games, but recently, a Japanese exclusive eShop game for 3DS, Darumeshi Sports Shop, features baseball games where men with Ultra Machines for heads serve pitches for you to hit.

Clearly, "Ultra Machine Man" is the best way to go.

That would be a hilarious character to play as.

Kirby can warrant 4 reps easily, let alone 3. It already has 3 btw, same with Star Fox.
Comparing Animal Crossing, a game with about 6 titles, to Kirby, a game with about 15+ titles, is completely wrong.

A mascot who represents several Disk System games has more potential than a Dog who laughs in one of them.

The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros., The Mysterious Murasame Castle, Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, Metroid, Kid Icarus, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, and Ice Climber were Famicom Disk System games.

So sad... Diskun has no moves of his own that he has to copy off other characters... at least I managed to come up with a moveset for Duck Hunt Dog and it is entirely based on Duck Hunt.

I still find that Dr. Kawashima would be a fun character to play as, just like WFT and Villager, that would be one of the reason why Sakurai would add him.

EDIT: We just got Villager in a position where Sakurai changed his mind about him not being suited for fighting.

For the last time, WE KNOW HOW IMPORTANT BRAIN AGE IS. What YOU don't realize is how problematic the character you suggested is. Just because it's a game that deserves representation, DOESN'T mean it works. You act like that is all it takes for it to work and it's not. Balloon Fighter clearly deserves it, but even Sakurai thought THAT wasn't feasible, you think a Dog, a head, and a deck of cards will be more feasible than Balloon Fighter?

It's like having Mr. Game & Watch and then adding the Wolf from "Egg" and making him a clone of Mr. Game & Watch,. Why would you even do that!?

Thing is, Villager's moveset is a hodge-podge of furniture and household items that epitomize the franchise as a whole. There's virtually no other reason to add either of those two other than to be a superfluous Second Animal Crossing Rep; plenty of more popular characters exist out there to add first.

The point of a surprise is to be a surprise.
That's why WFT worked; practically no one thought of her.

You bringing up and peddling all these characters takes away any surprise value they would have had. And even then, Kawashima wouldn't be that much of a surprise anyway.

Kid Icarus: A very popular franchise to warrant a 2nd character, Palutena.
DKC: A very popular franchise to warrant a 3rd character, K. Rool.
Animal Crossing: A very popular franchise to warrant a 2nd character, Tom Nook.
All three of these characters are very popular to be added in Smash.
Isn't Animal Crossing as deserving as other franchises to have a 2nd character.
I do think it wouldn't be the time to add Tom Nook in this installment though, maybe the next installment.

Tom Nook isn't gonna happen. Villager already utilizes many items from Animal Crossing, Tom Nook, while could potentially be different and could use different items, seems rather redundant when Villager is already present using pretty much the same concept.

It's like the easiest move potential. But, I guess that doesn't live up to your standards of using a Zapper like Fox (yeah there is already a Dog with a gun btw) and riding a ****ing Duck. OOOOOOOOOHHHHH!!!!! I'm on the edge of my seat right now!!!!!! What's next a frisbee!?!? Cuz he's a dog ya know! Even Diskun could throw Disks instead of frisbees.

Give me something from Duck Hunt Dog that Diskun couldn't replicate, not to mention it'd only add on to the stuff he could already do.

No not really comparable. I consider DHD a retro character, Diskun on the other hand I consider a "historical" "hardware" character.
