But then again, both OoT3D and SS were released around the same time (same year, I think), so, it's almost the same thing.

Well, if it wasn't for Roy's inclusion in Melee, I doubt his game in Japan would've been as popular, and I also doubt that none of us in the west would've even cared about him.

Don't know much about Chrom's "uniqueness and character" to make a proper judgement, but I hear some people say that Chrom is only popular because FE:A is recent and popular, so I guess he's not that different from Roy.

You know what? forget roy and chrom, let's just have marth ike and lyn and end this now. :awesome: Although roy is the better choice compared to chrom imo.

And pichu is already in, I mean come on the pikachu in brawl is technically pichu. (He just evolved into pikachu is all, that explains volt tackle and the goggles)

Sheik vs Impa and Roy vs Chrom are very similar cases. You mentioned recency. You dug yourself in a hole, find a way out.

Yes, Corn would be an interesting character. We have yet to have a cereal in the roster.

That would turn the other characters... into cereal killers. :smirk::shades:

Erm... It's interesting, I guess I can say.

I'm not sure if I understand the thinking behind two Kid Icarus characters when Sakurai makes it a very clear point that he tries to be as modest as he can with characters (hence why we never even got a second Kirby character until Brawl). I'm sure he'd only choose one of the two female ruler reps if it came to adding anyone from Kid Icarus at all.

Why do Animal Crossing, Sonic, and Kirby all get a rep while EarthBound loses one? The release of EarthBound on the Wii U has shown that it's certainly not less popular than it was before, and Lucas isn't exactly the most likely character to be cut when he's hardly even a semi-clone as it is nor a late addition to Brawl. He was planned since Melee, so the fact is that he's relevant enough to his own series that he shouldn't be cut in favor of folks like Waddle Dee, Black Shadow or... Krystal.

Speaking of Krystal, why is she replacing one of the core members of Fox's team that's been around since Melee? It makes as much sense as replacing Princess Peach with Rosalina in terms of booting a Melee character for someone that *could* be different. Krystal should be in the DLC bracket, not Falco, imo. I'm surprised you didn't at least throw Jigglypuff and Red into DLC while you were at it. Zoroark with Mewtwo and Lucario feels wrong if it means booting out a Smash staple and a unique Brawl addition. I'm assuming the red row is your DLC row, anyway.

And uh... Three dark doppleganger newcomers? Are these characters or palette swaps? They couldn't be the latter if Ice Climbers and Lloyd are down there with them, so... You're adding several filler characters, yet taking out several veterans entirely? This is truly baffling thinking to me.

Over all, it feels like a lot of your cuts and additions feel tainted with personal bias rather than logical inclusion. We shouldn't be getting another Sonic character, a second Namco representative, a fourth Kirby character, and three new Kid Icarus characters if it means removing three characters from two series that have been with Smash since day one. It's just in bad taste.

Usually when people have to respond to 7 hate responses in their inbox and make 3 paragraphs of laughing gifs and bull crap, it takes more than a minute.

It's quite simple, in fact:

Your reasoning to not have Chrom but have Roy instead is because Roy is a more interesting character.
Then, you state that Impa should replace Sheik because Skyward Sword is more recent. Chrom is more recent than Roy and that means you contradicted yourself and makes your argument go down the hatch.

Also, I never insulted you, so stop putting words in my mouth. If I wanted to insult you, I'd have done so in the most malicious way possible.
