Pac-Man would be pretty fun to play as... I think he would take advantage of his spherical body shape... maybe turn into a limb-less sphere (like the arcade game) and bouncing around biting everyone.

sorry man I guess I just got carried away there... still doesn't respond to why you think Tales isn't as good as Fire Emblem.
Because I like FE more?

Objectively, Tales sells more in Japan. However, in the West its iffy. Both are niche series here. More people probably know about FE thanks to Smash Bros. however.

In terms of staying power, I think Bandanna Dee is most likely.

I definitely would want Prince Fluff or Yarn Kirby for a fourth rep. And an Epic Yarn stage is completely necessary.

At the pace Awakening is going it might outsell the top selling Tales game.

Don't even bother trying. He's not willing to listen and will spout the same nonsense over and over.

Obviously Tales, a Namco franchise, is more relevant to Smash than Fire Emblem which is a Nintendo series.

Still up Peach's dress.
LOL  the irony, coming from somebody who actually once said (and I'm not joking) he actually believe he is better than Sakurai.

Seriously, this is a serious question. Do you ACTUALLY believe The Tales series, who is extremely popular, high-profile, and significant to Japanese video game history, is ACTUALLY not as 'great' as your precious Fire Emblem, a small-time niche series barely anybody knows about? Do you actually believe that, I'm just wondering? Because Fire Emblem is not even on par with Tales, a series almost comparable to Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. Something which Fire Emblem is not or EVER will be. I'm just saying.

Why don't you do something useful and I don't know CONTRIBUTE to the conversation? :smirk:
Are you asking in general or in regards to getting into Smash?

Tales is a fairly popular series yes, but it has no hope of getting into Smash(well; very little hope it's probably a better word for it, since it's competing with Pac-Man most likely). Fire Emblem obviously does have a hope of getting into Smash, has been in Smash and will be in Smash.

I wouldn't be able to say how the two series compare though on their own attributes. I'm fairly sure both are celebrated series but slightly different genres.

Alright, here's a topic-

If you HAD to choose some new starters for a new Pokemon Trainer, which set of starters would you choose? (they all have to be from the same gen of course)

I would actually go with cross gen starters. If they had to be from the same region....

Charizard, Charizard X, and Charizard Y. :006:

Seeing how well-designed the latest set are, I think I'd pick the 6th Gen starters. Chespin, Braixen and Grininja would be a great combination, or Froakie, Quilladin and Delphox. Either way, I'd vouch for it.

Chespin is my favorite out of the Grass Family..
Braixen is my favorite out of the Fire Family..
Grininja is my favorite out of the Water Family..

So I would go with that set. Just to clarify, I meant for Gen 6. I will always be a Gen 1/2 fan.

I'd choose Froakie, Braixen, and Chesnaught for the (hypothetical) Gen VI Trainer.
