Arguably the Star Rod, Screw Attack, Metal Box, and the like are all character-specific items.

That said I don't like the item/staff idea. Playable/Assist Trophy or bust.

I also always thought her legs were what sold her. The fact that you can literally use the binoculars to zoom in for an in-game upskirt shot solidified that.

I think he meant that Star Fox is at its best when it's flying planes and shooting down planes like in Star Fox and Star Fox 64... and for Star Fox Adventures to disregard this established genre and become a Zelda clone is what's hurting the game. Had Star Fox Adventures remained Dinosaur Planet, a completely separated franchise... perhaps it might be better received even if it means Microsoft owns Krystal.

I really have to wonder. Assuming Smash 4 makes no cuts, we get Mewtwo and Roy back, as well as Ridley, K. Rool, Dixie Kong, Little Mac, and a Mario newcomer (one of Toad/Paper Mario/Bowser Jr./Waluigi) are added in. Then there basically won't be any characters left with large passionate fanbases for Smash 5 aside from possibly other Mario characters.

I think most of the characters that became big during the pre-Smash 4 period (Palutena, Shulk, Chrom) will not be highly requested for Smash 5 if they fail to make it in for Smash 4.

Pretty much this has been my thoughts for a while. Assuming we get little to no cuts, Mewtwo and Roy back, Ridley, K. Rool, maybe Dixie Kong (Though she's not really requested in the first place), Little Mac, a Mario Newcomer, and Isaac, we basically got a lot of major Nintendo characters. Really as well? That's only five newcomers. Let's just throw in Pac-Man and Mii there if the rumor is anything to go off of. To be extra nice, how about a Retro and maybe a "WTF"? There's most, if not all, of your newcomers. If you want, maybe replace Roy with Chrom or something.

Smash has a choice if they choose to expand the roster, and they can mix them, but...
A. Go for smaller series to add characters to - To this day some of the Smaller series have character requests. Krystal, Goroh, Masked Man, etc. I've said this before but based on other fighting games and Smash, I don't think they should be ignored considering there would still be wants. A lot of said series are still expanding or are in consideration anyways, and you can't really ***** Mario/Zelda/Pokemon forever. The problem still in this is not only is it hard to see requests on these, but it's hard to think up on these despite the pool being so small. It's basically more of a merit on importance than on popularity. (Not that most of the characters we want don't have that or anything)
B. Go for smaller series that don't have a rep - There's a lot of these from Nintendo and it's already a direction they're leaning in.

There are other things as well to this. After the huge Brawl poll that NSider had for the U.S., where else can they go with seeing character popularity? Will most of the same producers stay on-board? I mean, Sakurai is only 43, but if I recall right, one of the main artists has cancer (Or this could be for a different game). For the most part, it'll be even less fanbases than with Smash 4.

This really does bring a lot of thoughts to the table.

As for Krystal's Staff, I say at this point with most characters they don't really need to compromise into making these things at this point. There's such few character choices unless they really bulk up. Then again, hey, Wii Fit Trainer.

I think I'm gonna go make a roster for lulz and add a supporting character to each one like a friend and I talked about, brb

Anyway, I highly doubt that all (or at least the majority) of Krystal's fanbase just wants her in because she's hot. I think most people just want her because of the staff moveset and uniqueness in a cast full of "clones," that's really about it.

It's good! Apart from Tiki, and the fact we have Takamaru, Lip, and Mach Rider (which certainly is in the realm of possibility), it's pretty realistic. I just think we should keep Lucas and if not Toon Link, a 4th Zelda character.

I dun wanna take out Mach Rider because he fits so well with where he sits in the roster. D:

And Lip is just to cute, I don't have the heart to take her out after I put her in my roster. :3

And Tiki is one of my top 3 Waifus in FEA. Taking her out would be a major nono with lotsa backlash from her. I'm in enough trouble as it is with not including the other 2. e_e

Ya know...considering this has almost no one I'm rooting for, I'll actually be okay if this turns out to be the roster. Even with little touches like Totodile and Grovyle(who just so happen to be my favourite starters of their respective gens) whilst keeping the ever popular Charizard is enough to make this more interesting than the majority of rosters I've seen.

Whilst I've stated I'm a big Roy fan, I actually kinda like that Tiki is so visually different from the three blue swordsmen in her column.

I barely noticed who you cut before others commented. Guess I wouldn't miss Falco, Lucas, Toon Link or even Lucario if they disappeared.

The only one I'm personally not keen on is Mach Rider, but to each their own.

Most importantly though I appreciate the Lip service you gave here.

There is actually only 5 cuts from the Brawl roster, Falco, Lucas, Toon Link, Lucario, and Snake. 5 cuts seems reasonable to me and to me those 5 seem the most likely to go (well Falco and Wolf are tied, I just prefer Wolf over Falco).

Cmon Mach Rider fits perfectly at where he is located at in my roster. D:

And Lip is jsut to cut not to service. :3

I know it doesnt seem likely, adding 2 characters to the same series within the same game doesnt happen too often, but its happened with Mario, Pokemon and Zelda (actually, Zelda had 3 added in melee) Kirby had 2 added in brawl but that was because King dedede missed both 64 and melee. I have a feeling that if any series gets more than 1 rep added this time around, it will be DK

I think having one of the 2 DK reps would be quite sufficient.

i think its very plausible and i think this solution would make a lot of people very happy. but for now id be more conservative and just say one over tthe other for now

Tiki is one of my 3 waifus from FEA to late to take her out now. If I take her out I'll be in trouble by all 3 of my waifus from that game instead of just 2. I don't think I can afford that many expensive apology gifts. :L

Lip is just to adorable to cut now. The damage is done, she is in my roster and is staying as I don't have the heart to take her out as she is jsut toooooooo cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute. :3

But in all seriousness, I wnated to do something different from everyone else. I just can't see Isaac happening, I'm sorry, I know so many people find him to be likely but I feel like he missed his chance in Brawl to be honest, but I will consider replacing Takamaru with him. I have been thinking of putting Snake back in over Pack-Man but I am also leaning towards Simon Belmont, And c'mon lets face it a man with a whip is more manly then a man with a gun. :L

Over all, not too bad. I'll take it row by row.

Row 2: Fantastic Row!
Row 3: Pretty good! It's sad to see Ivysaur and Squirtle go, since Bulbasaur was my very first Pokemon back in the day...and the lack of K. Rool's a bit saddening. Any reasons for Dixie over K. Rool? Props for Tiki. :3
Row 4: Pretty damn good as well! Though no Lucas is a bit sad. And the fact that Lip, Takamaru, and Mach Rider all made it in while Muddy was left in the dust.

Over all, I could like this roster. The only things that really irk me are no Lucario, Dixie over K. Rool, and the change in Pokemon Trainer's Pokemon. And while I'd normally not like the idea of a third FE character that isn't Roy or Chrom, Tiki is an interesting, but unexpected, choice that would be worthwhile, so I approve.

I'd give it a B+.

Pfft I'll be lucky if people don't critique everything on it. People should know by now I don't make serious rosters. Though, I'm gonna think a bit outside the box for this one thanks to ChronoBound's post. Some of you might hate it, some of you might like it.

Ya I feel the same way. Definitely not impossible, but unlikely. Weve seen it happen before with other series so we know its possible, only when its warranted. Im sure both Dixie and K Rool have more than earned their place. Its also a safe choice because most people wont be up in arms about repping the DKC series, like they have been with starfox and kirby (altgough I think people are mad at over repping starfox because they're similar characters.)

I honestly would like to see both Dixie and K Rool in but I know theres a pretty lkw chance, but we'll see I guess
