Meowth didn't really have enough room to fit into Brawl, and Mewtwo should probably be in before Meowth too.

I think SSB64 is the ONLY time Meowth MAY have been considered as a playable character.

But, she hasn't been promoted by Pokemon for years and the other reasons are just that she's already a Smash Character. If I'm not mistaken there ARE going to be cuts. And Sylveon is fairy too and isn't Eevee more popular than Jiggs? I mean this didn't stop Mewtwo from being removed.

He wasn't considered playable in Smash 64, it was only Bowser, Dedede and Mewtwo. Also, just stick with Eevee on its own, Sylveon has lost its chance.

How? Sylveon is more distinct from all the other Evolutions because there isn't 2 evolutions this time around and she's fairy.

Yes, which will be relevant for all of a few months. It won't take long after Pokemon X and Y's release for Sylveon to go from being the shiny new toy to being 'just another Eeveelution', when all is said and done.

Redesign a Yarn Yoshi with a new moveset. The Yarn thing is looking to become its own franchise, so I think it should be represented in some way/shape/form.

Because they're Eeveelutions. It's how they work. No single Eeveelution gets special treatment from Nintendo like that - sure, they get treated well during the advertisement period of a new game, but they do not get special treatment. Espeon and Umbreon were hot stuff when Gold and Silver arrived; now they're just Eeveelutions like the rest of them. Likewise for Leafeon and Glaceon. Lucario is not in the same boat as Sylveon because the Eevee family is a unique phenomenon among Pokemon families; it's main defining gimmick is it's ability to evolve into such a vast array of types. Sylveon won't be the next best thing since sliced bread, it'll just be another one of the many types Eevee trainers can choose.

I think at one point, Meowth was considered for SSB64 actually. But don't quote me on that.

So, a lot of people think there will be.

Lucario is his own stand alone entity. The eeveelutions are grouped together. Sylveon may be new and exciting (for now) with it being one of the Pokemon to gain access to Fairy-type, but, when all is said is done, it's still an eveelution, and having just one eeveelution be playable by itself would be missing the point of what makes the entire chain so unique and memorable.

Ill be honest I really dont think Yoshi has a chance of getting a rep at all, no one has really been established very well to be a great secondary rep tbh, even though I like the idea of the Baby Bros. being a character.

Personally I thought the multiple babies mechanic was awful and I'm happy to see it go... as long as they implement enough new features to compensate for any they remove, of course.

That would be absolutely hilarious to be honest. Your main weapon is the grapple arm, missiles are made out of cardboard, it'd be such a hilarious contrast.

the same reason why there aren't NEW mario bros in New super mario bros. or why there isn't a new scooby-doo in what's NEW scooby-doo! (wait, did I really use scooby-doo?)

well, we don't even really know some features. there's OTHER features, you know.

anyways, I'm suprised there is little support for kamek, since he IS considered the main antagonist on most occasions, including the new island game.
