WFT is a WTF character. Sakurai said so himself pretty much and even said he put her in there soely because no one in their right minds would have guessed with her. There is no other logic behind it. *points at hotfeet's avi" that pretty muh says it on the whole matter. :L

Also, I really doubt over repping is a concern of Sakurai's and that it doesn't matter to when getting new characters. :L

Well in that sense it makes sense, don't just add characters because of a series or add them randomly. But when it comes to seriously adding characters I really wonder if overrepping actually even matters to Sakurai. I myself doubt it. :L

You are right, I'm not going to lie. I think my judgment is just clouded because I want my favorite franchise (Zelda) perfectly repped. I still like keeping the three together, though, since they've all had the most in the last two games (might be a little bit of my compulsiveness getting in the way).

I count slots because if we look back at 64, Mario and Pokemon were the 2 biggest franchises and were givin 2 characters more than any of the other smaller franchises at the time.
In Melee, Mario had 5 characters being the largest franchise and being the mascot of Nintendo while Pokemon and Zelda were givin 4 due to their 2nd and 3rd largest status.
In Brawl Mario,Zelda, and Pokemon were each givin 4, being the 3 largest franchises at the time.
So if we look at balance, it seems like Sakarai counts the number of slots looking at previous rosters. If Sakarai ever gives Mario less than Zelda or Pokemon or if Pokemon or Zelda ever have more than Mario then I will change my mind, but until then I'm not.

Needs more Lucario Quit trolling.. Also I have a good feeling Zoroark needs to implemented to a character, that's why I replaced him with Zoroark.. I ain't trolling son. There's no reason for Lucario to be removed from the roster at all.

Really, why does Mario and Pokemon have 4 reps yet Zelda have 3 (not counting Sheik?). I'd add a newcomer to that series I keep representation to 4 characters.. that's why. Sheik counts.Okay, that's fine but do you really think so? They are the three most popular series and they should have a newcomer each

Seriously, no. Dark Pit is just gonna be an alt attire. Not final smash So it's not a good idea to put in?, Also counting Dark Pit, I think KI deserves 3 reps. I get it. But c'mon, let's be realistic. KI is only gonna get at least 1 new rep. Palutena is gonna get it before anyone else. If the second one does happen, then Medusa should get it. Dark Pit has no chance an will only be an alt attire. Maybe some of his moves will be ported into Pit's moveset. I dunno, but that's up to the team to make the movesets. If that happens, then just play Pit's Dark Pit attire and you're good to go.

Anna doesn't have a chance imo and Alph can be an alt attire. (Let's see, because I wish Anna to happen and she has been a reccuring character in FE so it gives a good compliment, and Alph's situation is currently unknown, so I'm just predicting we'll have him for Flying and Rock Pikmin (Along with Red, Blue, and Yellow) While Anna may be a recurring character, she isn't a Lord nor playable. Until Smash gives us a non-Lord fighter, I think the series will be Lords only. Alph I still think deserves to be an alt attire for Olimar or maybe an AT. Pikmin should stay with at least one character.

He said he wasn't planning on another KI game like Uprsing again. I think we can expect one from a different developer with different gameplay from KI:U as the years come by.

Not anytime soon to give KI 3 characters. If we did get a 3rd character though, I would hope it would either be Hades or Dark Pit with Magnus and Viridi as assist trophies.

I think the only way KI would get three reps is if one was a late-addition semi-clone, which granted, both Dark Pit or Medusa could pretty easily be... but I still see Sakurai choosing a different character should he need a semi-clone late in development. But... personally I'd say a third KI character has a chance... just a very small chance.

Pretty decent. I don't think the chances of getting two AC characters are very good, personally I'd remove Nook. I also doubt we'd get two new Mario characters (Sakurai will most likely view Waluigi as Mario), so I'd remove either him or Toad (my choice would be keeping Toad). Bandana Dee imo is also pretty unlikely, but not a terrible choice or anything, so it doesn't really matter if he stays or goes, I just think a fourth Kirby characters is pretty unlikely and unnecessary.

Lastly I still wouldn't cut Snake. MGS is still on Nintendo systems, Snake was a popular character, Sakurai thinks positively of his inclusion, Kojima still seems to be friends with Sakurai... I think if Sakurai is going to make the effort to get Sonic again, he'll also try to get Snake.

Other than that (and those aren't huge negatives or anything) good roster.

Well I'd order who to cut like this:
Nook > Waluigi/Toad > Waddle Dee don't kill me > Snake

So I'd say Nook would probably be the best idea to cut with Snake probably being the best idea to keep. But it's your roster, so it's totally up to you.

Plus you gotta keep in mind that everything in his moveset will be taken from a Mario game, or will be original to Smash (unless he somehow gains the moves of another character). So he does make sense as a "Mario" character.

If Waluigi doesn't have enough to get in as a Mario Series rep, then he won't get in. He can't rep a series where he's made no major appearances in.

Replacements for characters on the cut list:
Ike: Chrom or Lucina
Lucario: Awakened Mewtwo
Toon Link: Classic Link
Pokemon Trainer: 5th generation rep (someone like genesect or zoroark)

I don't like the term WTF character. ROB and Mr. Game and Watch are retro characters to me. WFT is just a really good representation of the Wii generation.

Yes, I am aware that's Big Boss, not Solid Snake, but Brawl pretty much "combined" the two, so Snake taking on his ancestor's appearance wouldn't be that out there.
Especially if there isn't an eyepatch like in the image.
Snake Eater 3D was the last Metal Gear game to be on a Nintendo system....
