Even so, you fail to realize that it was still above Mewtwo/Roy and its advertisement in Japan. My bad on Clefairy, but it still doesn't change the fact that it's represented in 6th gen. Just because a character isn't as popular as it originally was doesn't mean they should be cut from Smash. EarthBound/Mother has representation and hasn't had a game in 7 years. The way you talk about Jigglypuff and its "tanking" popularity, it might as well be a "retro" character to you eh?

Simon would be good, though I would prefer Alucard myself or even Trevor (note that the only Castlevania game I hvae ever played is the one for the 3DS, I want to play other ones but they aren't a top priority for me right now) even though Simon would be more likely if Castlevania gets a rep. But I meant more in general as Smash has allot of different characters with different fighting styls and weapons but lacks a character with chain as their main weapon and any character with something like that would be great.

I've always thought Alucard would be best fit in a game like Playstation all stars, with Simon,Trevor, or one of the GBA/DS heros being in Smash, with Simon being of the highest probability.
Personally I'd want Richter or Shanoa, but that's just me, I'd honestly be okay with any Castlevania character, as long as it's not He-Man Simon design >.>

I could see Lip getting a Pit-esque redesign for SSB4. She definitely has gotten some favoritism over the years, and Sakurai has had such kind words when talking about her.

As for Mach Rider, I approve of him as well. Sadly he didn't make my top 10 sig, but I would love if he's included.
I think he should really pick up the Smash attacks from Captain Falcon in SSB64, and be a Luigified C.F.


His Special moves could be:

OFF BIKE:
B: Chain Whip
B-Tilt: Oil Drum
B-Up: Chain tether
B-Down: Hop on bike


ON BIKE:
B: Machine guns (could be represented by red spheres instead of bullets)
B-Tilt: Oil Drum
B-Down: Get off the bike
B-Up: Self-Destruct (Bike is destroyed, Mach Rider takes damage, but is sent upwards. Works like Snake blowing himself up for recovery)

FINAL SMASH: (Original): NOS. Mach Rider's bike is engulfed in flames while going full speed. This works like a grounded Super Sonic.

Meowth WAS voted the 5th most popular pokemon in Japan....Higher than any other pokemon that's been in smash aside from Pikachu. I'd like it.

I have no problem with different topics. But I see the pointless Pokemon debates almost every single day on this damn thread. I'd like something different, because the Pokemon arguments are basically the same thing every single day. There's some Pokemon that someone is gunning for, and everyone disagrees. Talking about Sylveon isn't going to make a difference, people will support it, some won't. In all honesty, I come on this thread to learn new stuff about the game, not to replay past arguments over and over and over. It's like those old Ridley arguments. No matter what, the argument will be relentless and infuriating. I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT POKEMON. I see it way too often, okay? I've read somewhere that Meowth was originally going to be in the original Smash Bros, but was cut out because he served an antagonistic role in the anime, and the game would have had only good guys (and a gal) to be playable.

i've always wanted Meowth as i felt he deserved it to a degree. that said i don't think he's super likely. and im also in full support of Lip. the movesets ive seen for her are really interesting

That's a load of bull.
The only characters confirmed to have been planned are Bowser, Mewtwo, and Dedede. And that's from side comments from Sakurai about his pre-Melee poll.

Retro? Of course Takamaru would be cool. Sakurai has wanted Mach Rider before and thats fact.
Muddy Mole needs a reboot BAD, on the 3DS he could be such a killer with his own series. Start it in smash, Sakurai. You have the power man.
Let's see.....Classic Link, pretty much. Ummmm Urban champion seems like a cool idea. Gotta say, never did like the idea of Sukapon though.

im not for the Arbok/Weezing thing but hell yes on ur points. had i been Sakurai during 64 i probably would've gone with Meowth over Jiggs. but thats just my opinion

While Arceus, Darkrai and Deoxys only managed to be in the list because they'd be given away if they got to first place. Pikachu and Meowth still made it into the top five. And they'd probably still be up there (and perhaps even higher) if they didn't mention the fact that they'd be given away.

Also, to add icons, simply put the new icons in your images folder inside the main Roster Maker folder and then boot up the Roster Maker. Simply click the file button in the top right corner and click the add new icons button. After that, simply search for the character and it should be there.

Actually no, there are only three characters that were planned for Smash 64 but were cut. That's Bowser, King Dedede and Mewtwo.

TBH, I would only consider Simon in if Snake was cut from the game. I don't really like the idea of having more than one character to represent each third-party company, let alone a third-party franchise. Besides, Simon is more relatable to Nintendo than Snake is, so...

Look closely at where Wario is, see how he is next to Mario? I have him there to show off his doppleganger status, sdame goes for Waluigi being next to Luigi. Waluigi is a Sports rep as far as I am concerned. Zelda and Pokemon only outrep SUPER Mario as that's what Mario/Peach/Luigi/Bowser rep the SUPER Mario games, not just. Mario in fact be considered to have 8 reps in my Roster, it's jsut my view on things though. Plus I wonder if "out repping" even matters. The only reason Snake was in to begin with was a favor to his creator but overall he is a bad rep for a game about Nintendo characters as overall he is more Playstation while simon is much more reliable.

I don't understand that...... I'll just wait till version 7 and hope it has the new icons.

Oh, yes!!! I want Simon Belmont for sure. Definitely the ideal Konami rep for Smash IMO. I like to imagine that he would be kinda stiff with NES-style animations (I love the way they did Mega Man in Smash) complete with the ability to whip in eight directions like in Super Castlevania IV and sub-weapons from the NES/SNES games.

B - Diamond
Simon throws a diamond and it bounces all over the stage. It bounces off the floors, the walls, and the ceilings. It bounces for about three seconds before it disappears. It is from Castlevania II: Simon's Quest.

Side B - Cross
Simon throws up to three cross boomerangs. Unlike Link's boomerang, Simon doesn't throw boomerangs diagonally but straight forward.

Up B - Whip Swing
Simon whips at one of those winged rings from Super Castlevania IV and he swings across. The whip can also be used to latch to the edge of the stage like Zero Suit Samus's tether recovery.

Down B - Holy Water
Simon pulls out a bottle of Holy Water and he can throw it in any direction like Link does with his Bombs. The Holy Water can stun opponents as if they got hit with Ness's PK Fire (to emulate the NES games where enemies are stunned and cannot move when they are in flames)

Final Smash - Rosary
Simon picks up a rosary and the stage goes white for a second and then the opponents are launched off stage in flames.

Side A - Dagger
Simon simply throws a Dagger and it flies a short distance before it disappears.

Smash Side A - Flame Whip
Simon whips and a fireball shoots from his whip. The fireball flies a short distance from the whip. This is from Castlevania II: Simon's Quest.

Smash Up A - Axe
Simon throws an Axe overhead. It has a good vertical range but poor horizontal range.

Smash Down A - Garlic
Simon drops a Garlic in front of his feet. If the Garlic hits the nearby opponent, that opponent gets stunned in flames (like they were hit with Ness's PK Fire). This is from Castlevania II: Simon's Quest.

The rest of the moves consist of Simon whipping in eight directions like in Super Castlevania IV.
