Greninja is quite the popular mon this generation. Stealthy, fast, agile, heavy hitter. Diverse moveset. Starter so it is more known (better than hawlucha). I love the guy. One of my alltime favorites. That or sylveon. Or mewtwo y.

I LOVE Greninja, but I can't see him being added. He's just not stand out enough. There is nothing special about him besides his popularity.....and Victini and Zoroark seem to have priority over him because of movies (I think).
But still in all honesty Mewtwo and Lucario have the best odds because they have already been in smash games and have new forms this gen. I can't see anything else besides them going in unless it is some Gen 7 pokemon that gamefreak gave smash to hype up or something.

Yeah, although Chrom seems too similar to Marth in design space for uniqueness to hold and Ridley, while being universally loved on this forum, is not so loved in many other parts of the world. I personally would like to see him but I don't actually view him as likely.
And yeah, the retro character is a crap shoot. I'd love it if Mach Rider got in, but Duck Hunt Dog is more likely and Takamaru seems more likely than that. Ah well. Like I said, get maybe two of them.

Clearly if Sega got another rep it would have to be Hatsune Miku! (Is she owned by Sega?) Capcom would be Phoenix Wright or Amaterasu, and Konami would have Simon Belmont to finalize the Captain N trio.
