Since SSB4 isn't getting a Story Mode, do you think stickers will return?

If stickers don't return, do you think characters that were stickers in Brawl have better chance of being Assist Trophies (or even playable characters)?

It would be fun to see Akari Hayami (Wave Race, 1080), Andrew Oikonny, Andy, Blood Falcon, Bowser Jr, Cranky Kong, Funky Kong, a Darknut, K.K. Slider, Kraid, Mach Rider, Prince Sablé, or Tamagon upgraded to Assist Trophies at least.

I don't remember Sakural telling there won't be story mode... There will be no Subspace Emissary-like story mode, we justt don't know what sm4sh's story mode will look like.

Some sitcker characters might have a chance to become Assist Trophies though there are so many of them it is hard to predict which ones will make it...

Yeah, I think so, they were nice alternatives of representing obscure Nintendo games if Sakurai didn't have the time to finish 3D models for them.
(I fully agree that Prince Sable would be fine as playable or AT, I just want to see him in 3D)

Perhaps are you right. Though I'm certain Sakurai might give us an original Story mode that would vastly differ from the Subspace Emissary one. Only time will tell.

Have side B be Disable and work like so:

Mewtwo makes a hand gesture and the enemy immediately in front of him will be pushed away slightly. A random B move (not Up B) will be locked down and represented as a glowing ball of energy above Mewtwo's head. As long as that sphere is above Mewtwo's head, the opponent cannot use the move. Hitting Mewtwo hard enough could make the spehere and move return to the enemy.

I'd say the chances of another Mario newcomer is very low after Rosalina's reveal. So only one of Bowser Jr and Waluigi will get, if any get in at all.
Dixie Kong, Isaac, Little Mac, Takamaru and Pac-Man are definitely possible.
I don't see Cooking Mama get in. She is a minor 3rd Party.
River City Ransom... seriously?
Samurai Goroh, Krystal and Dillon have a chance, but I'm not sure.

I never got the few people who say that Sylux stands a chance. I'm not saying this as a Ridley fan, I'm saying this as a Metroid fan. Prime Hunters is a spin-off of a spin-off, basically putting it alongside Metroid Prime Pinball. It's a rather obscure game which is completely ignored outside the game itself, and has been so for the 8 years since its release. Furthermore, Sylux, while obviously the enemy Hunter that was played up the most, wasn't even that big of a guy in the game itself, and most certainly wasn't the main objective. To make a comparison, he is to Prime Hunters what Zavok is to Sonic Lost World, except that Lost World probably has a lasting impact on the series, where as Hunters is all but forgotten because of its obscurity.

If we really want to include another Hunter, might as well add a fan favorite like Rundas, at least he was in the main series of the spin-off series, plus he'd be way more unique too. Even then Rundas doesn't have a chance himself, and all other characters from the Prime series still stand underneath Dark Samus, and I'm fairly certain we can agree that the general conseus is that Dark Samus isn't very likely either.

I hope that gives the idea of how obscure Sylux would be. Even Count Bleck would be less obscure.

Takamaru is looking pretty interesting... I like the idea of Takamaru throwing knives in the air... why should Mega Man be the only one with an Aerial Down+A projectile?

Youre probably right when it comes to Bowser Jr since Rosalina was confirmed. Waluigi would be the Wario character but seeing as he hasn't appeared in a Wario ware game it is highly unlikely now that I think of it.
Stylus I assumed was an important character because of his trophy status in Brawl. I'm doubting Ridley due to him being a boss in Brawl.
You can add Lucario back in because I guess him and an updated Mewtwo would be able to coexist.
I wasn't aware of cooking mama being 3rd party due to her being only on Nintendo consoles.
River City Ransom would be a pretty good throw back.

I wouldn't say Count Bleck is less obscure. Sylux is around the same level as far as I'm concerned. Still I would have to agree that most other Metroid characters other than potentially Ridley aren't very likely. Dark Samus I feel, is a distant second.

The Prime games are most certainly not spin-offs aside from Hunters and Pinball. Other than that, I agree.

Browser Jr Seems very unlikely considering Rosalina & Luma are Mario newcomers. But on the off chance there is another Mario newcomer, it will probably be Bowser Jr.
Dixie or Cranky Kong Seems fair.
Waluigi Again with the Mario newcomer thing, though I guess he could be called a Wario character.
Isaac of Golden Sun Seems fair, but a tad unlikely
Sylux of Metroid Prime Hunters He is a one shot character and I think Ridley Is over him.
Little Mac Seems fair.
Krystal of Star Fox (possibly replacing Wolf or to be her own stand-alone character) Not replacing Wolf, but she could be unique and stand put from the rest.
Samurai Goroh A Samurai bring something new to the roster.
Dillon of Dillon's Rolling Western Seems to similar to Sonic, since his only thing is rolling. And it seems like this is only a two game series for Nintendo.
Mewtwo (replacing Lucario and updated) Why would he replace Lucario? He is not a Mewtwo clone.
Cooking Mama Considering I am the King of irrelevancy, I approve of this message.
Ryan and Alex of River City Ransom (team like Ice Climbers) I have no clue who this is.
Takamaru Doesn't seem unique enough. And we already have two blue haired swordsmen.
Pac man He seems ok, but he better be a more classic PAC Man. I despise the modern one and his 8 year old's voice.
Wonderful 101 If you mean wonder-Red, he seems fairly unique and could be cool.

The Prime games are most certainly not spin-offs aside from Hunters and Pinball. Other than that, I agree.

Gotta take that up with Sakamoto yourself. I personally consider them canon, but it's a bit hard to argue with the guy who currently owns the series and was there from the start. I'm not sure if he was the creator of Metroid or Gunpei Yokoi was actually, or if he was just a co-creator.

I do however think of the Prime games more like canon side stories personally though, they aren't part of Metroid 1 to 4, same goes for Other M, they're in-betweeners. I never concidered them to have as much impact on the story as any of the 4 main series games, the storylines are very much kept within its own little world and doesn't really reach out beyond that.

Spin-off was maybe the wrong word for it though, but the Prime games are certainly not the focus of the Metroid series.

Yeah, saying he'd be more obscure than Count Bleck was maybe stretching it, but to be fair at least Count Bleck is from a widely recognized Mario spin-off, so he's still quite a bit bigger. But I agree that Dark Samus is certainly a distant second.

Mario: Bowser Jr. He's relatively important and could be unique.
Zelda: Tingle, for the sweet rage.
Metroid: Ridley. I'm a genuine fan of the character. Should be fun to use too.
Donkey Kong: King K. Rool. See Ridley.
Pokemon: Zoroark. Popular Pokemon with a good bit of potential. Looks kind of cool too.

Pikmin: One of the Pikmin 3 captains. Not sure who though.
Fire Emblem: Robin. Magic and swordplay mostly.
Star Fox: Krystal. The only likely choice after the three we got.
F-Zero: Samurai Goroh. He's Falcon's rival, it would make sense for him to show up.

Kid Icarus: Palutena. Most important next to Pit himself.
Kirby: Bandanna Dee. No else that could really be added.
Animal Crossing: Tom Nook, he's the most recognizable character in the series.
Earthbound: Masked Man could bee cool. But I don't particularly care for another character being added from the series.

Yoshi: Kamek? No one else to add that's feasible.
Wario: Captain Syrup. Would be cool to have someone fill in the Pirate playstyle.
Gyromite: That professor dude I guess.
Ice Climbers: Polar Bear. Though he might be OP.
Wii Fit: Balance Board, clearly it should have been playable first.

Metal Gear: Grey Fox, since Raiden would never happen.
Sonic: Tails, he's pretty much the Luigi of Sega.
Mega Man: Bass. He's probably the second most popular character in the Classic Mega Man series. And he'd probably be the most diverse too.
