Well I would disagree with Louie, but frankly I can't since I am Louie and he is also very much Louie.
That being said I feel that a clone-y roster is extremely unlikely at this point when you take into account the originality of the currently revealed newcomers.

It's the same amount as Brawl minus Roy. I think it's important to have additions to existing IPs and to give additions to existing IPs that haven't gotten any since their first inclusion.

So I thought Louie might be a probable choice this time around. Plus it's fair to have him with Olimar.

How's it the same amount if you added Louie? Surely he would be a clone as well.
And I understand your logic, but is it more important than uniqueness? At this point I'd definitely say no.
Also I expect more "New Series" reps than series already repped to be repped further.
Also with your logic, F-Zero should get someone as well.

Alph > Louie, after playing Pikmin 3, I do certainly think the game deserves to be represented with the inclusion of Alph, despite his similarites to Olimar.

I would imagine adding Louie/Alph is the same principal as adding Lucas.

I think Alph makes more sense than Louie, considering he'd be as easy to make as Louie, plus we can take advantage of those sweet new Pikmin types.

Thoughts:
Stork? Over Kamek? Nonono. Sorry, but that just seems a little... out of place. Kamek wins that fight.
Bandana Dee. Though for balance's sake, maybe a 4th DK Slot or Star Fox?
I don't really see Wario getting another slot.
No Cuts. This is a big one.
Issac and or Shulk.
Little Mac.
Tetra is an alright choice, that whole area is grey.
No 2nd KI Rep. This is a grey area, but if Yoshi and Wario would get a new rep, KI I think would get one.
9.2/10 for slight imbalance in some representations, all in all it's a nice roster. I would play it.

It's not like he/she wouldn't be unique either. If Sakurai decided that 2014 was such a big year for Yoshi that he gets another rep (which is possible) then Kamek just makes the most sense. In my opinion at least.
