I don't see how that would work at all. The captains control the Pikmin to fight. How would having 3 make them any different? It'd just be more crowded.

Maybe the convene during the battle and vote on who commands which Pikmin at which time! It would be a complex character, but Smash needs more of those.

Well, yes and no. I think Yoshi is so closely tied to Mario that a potential Yoshi character is practically a Mario character.As they are technically extensions of Mario.
And Wario won't get a new character simply because it's character's aren't that popular.

What about F-Zero though, Samurai Goroh is pretty likely in my opinion. People don't think Sakurai will go all necromancer on that series. But I do. I know he will. Yes, yes, he will, yes!

Yeah, one captain is thrown to a certain position, they will attack anyone who is near them at a half platform distance..Maybe the convene during the battle and vote on who commands which Pikmin at which time! It would be a complex character, but Smash needs more of those.
One captain can carry up to two Pikmin. It's basically a stage control character.

Yoshi's Island and WarioWare may be ignored in the long run due to the fact that they are spin-off series.
Uprising was a huge success too, so no Palutena would be a shocker for me.

I don't recall IPs ever getting additions based on how many installments they had. It was how popular and important they and their characters were.
Remember when Star Fox, a game with only 2 officially released games got 2 characters as apposed to Yoshi and F-Zero? That's because there were a variety of popular and important characters to choose from.

1: Perhaps, but Kamek could easily end up representing the Mario franchise instead when you realize that Kamek is also the Japanese name for Magikoopa. To add to this, generic enemies don't exactly get represented better than either an Assist Trophy role, or an enemy role for Adventure Mode.
2: If the Wario franchise was to get a second rep, I'd probably say that Kat and Ana would be better inputs. But really, the Wario franchise is pretty much complete with just Wario alone.

Wario pretty much entirely revolves around Wario. That's why it's perfect.

F-Zero discussion is always great. I feel as though Samurai Goroh is the overt ideal choice, a lot of people want Black Shadow though as it might entail de-cloning Ganondorf while not wasting too much development time with a dead franchises character. If Mother could get a second character, I fail to see why F-Zero couldn't do the very same. Captain Falcon is much more iconic than Ness and he has truly become a Smash staple.

The only thing I have to say about F-Zero is that Black Shadow would be cool if he took Ganon's moveset and Ganon got his own. But other than that, I think the series is represented fine in Smash Bros.

I think Samurai Goroh should be considered, but he's simply not very important and F-Zero hasn't been around in a while. Plus if Sakurai wanted a Samurai he'd probably add Takamaru.
It's kind of like Wario Ware. Sure, there are tons of loveable characters to choose from. But, they're pretty obscure and unnecessary.

Either way, F-Zero really should have a second character. I don't care that it's been on hiatus for years.
And nearly everyone talks about Black Shadow taking Ganondorf's moveset, but...it doesn't feel right for some reason. Giving a newcomer an old character's clone moveset...I mean, Shadow could be luigified a little, but I don't really know what to think.

His Smash relevance might indicate that he is important to Sakurai though. The Assist Trophy and Melee intro being the two big ones.

If we're talking F-Zero, I would say that Goroh would be the best choice. Him being a sword wielder alone would help him standout from Falcon. Black Shadow could theoretically take over Ganon's old moveset if need be.

It sounded like he was saying it's weird for Ganondorf to have the move set he has, because an F-Zero character has it. Even though it's not an F-Zero move set.

What I believe KingShadow is indicating, though, is that it is a more sensible approach for another in-series F-Zero character to share Captain Falcon's move-set rather than a random choice selection in Ganondorf, as the respective Zelda series is completely unrelated to F-Zero (sans both being Nintendo series created by Shigeru Miyamoto), at least in-universe.

Okay, guys, so I have a dream roster I think you should roast.
Basically, it's if everyone here got their favorite characters but the roster fits into the rules of Smash Bros. (i.e. it could happen)
