Besides the fact that Google Translate sucks in general, you sometimes have to improvise if there's a word that doesn't have a Japanese equivalent with Katakana which can sometimes mess up computer translations even further.

Alph is definitely important to the series, I personally think Pikmin 3 is the best out of the three games. I think Sakurai would plan him as a last minute semi-clone.

Why not? The game is alot harder than the last 2 Pikmin games. It's alot of fun trying to find the quickest way to grab all fruit with 3 leaders.
