I don't know about everybody, what's a third party besides megaman and sonic that pretty much everyone would be completly fine if (s)he got in?
my money's on layton.
I have a question.Do you consider Bomberman a legendary videogame character?
He is legendary for me![]()
I can tell ya that Snake butthurt will be happening if Layton and Pac-Man happen to be characters in SSB4. :9what's a third party besides megaman and sonic that pretty much everyone would be completly fine if (s)he got in?

ahemwhat's a third party besides megaman and sonic that pretty much everyone would be completly fine if (s)he got in?
I don't know about everybody,
but most people say that Bomberman is cool, haven't heard anyone say that they didn't want the guy,
most say that they are fine with him
other than him I can't think of anybody else . . .
What are you crazy? Of course he is!I have a question.Do you consider Bomberman a legendary videogame character?
He is legendary for me![]()
you and everyone else on these boards, no thinks or believe he is cut, and most likely that's the case too mateMay just be me, but I really don't think Snake is out.
wonder red's first party, I thought. well, second, at least.I think Megaman, Sonic, and Snake are all we will be getting when it comes to third parties this time around. Lloyd, Pac-Man, Professor Layton, Bayonetta, or Wonderful Red are the only others I can possibly see appearing
I really wish people didn't compare these characters. Simon isn't even on Bomberman's level. He's not even likely at all.I like Bomberman, but actually...I like Simon Belmont more.
Despite being on a Nintendo console, I think being requested and unique is the only criteria you really need to fit.
Konami actually owns hudson now, so it would have to go through them and i doubt they would move him in over snake. But after act zero they pretty much snuffed out all the bomb fuses for the little guy, i think he had a few DS games after though but ziltch since.Plus there's all sorts of legal red tape Sakurai would have to deal with to pull him down off the defunct Hudson shelf gathering dust in whoever's attic.
I'm not comparing them on an equal footing, just...stating my preferences since both characters were mentioned. I could also say I like Mario, but I like Pokemon more.I really wish people didn't compare these characters. Simon isn't even on Bomberman's level. He's not even likely at all.
See, this is the exact way I feel about Simon Belmont.I always feell Sakurai will simply break the unestablished rules and add Bomberman alongside Snake anyway. I feel he deserves it enough as a companion of Nintendo to get that special treatment. He's really overdue.
I love and support Bomberman way more, but you're wrong. Sakurai is easily 20 to 25 years older than you are. Simon resonates with him the way Bomberman resonates with you. He knows the effect and relevancy of each of them to their corresponding time periods, and therefore is a better judge of who makes more sense than you are, (or myself for that matter.) When it comes down to third party characters, I think who the character is in his mind, and how much money said third party company is throwing at him are what really matter.I really wish people didn't compare these characters. Simon isn't even on Bomberman's level. He's not even likely at all.
Uhhh.........what???See, this is the exact way I feel about Simon Belmont.
How the hell do you know?I love and support Bomberman way more, but you're wrong. Sakurai is easily 20 to 25 years older than you are.
Again, how the hell do you know?Simon resonates with him the way Bomberman resonates with you.
Yeah, Sakurai adds Third-Party characters based on money. When it comes down to third party characters, I think who the character is in his mind, and how much money said third party company is throwing at him are what really matter.
True. I don't think sales matter to him.Yeah, Sakurai adds Third-Party characters based on money.![]()
I'm sorry, but that made me laugh. You're exaggerating Simon's unlikeliness.I really wish people didn't compare these characters. Simon isn't even on Bomberman's level. He's not even likely at all.
Yeah.Uhhh.........what???
And yet it has less games on less Nintendo consoles. Not to mention who cares which became more popular on NES? That didn't get Mega Man in over Sonic and Snake.I'm sorry, but that made me laugh. You're exaggerating Simon's unlikeliness.
While Bomberman had a crossover game with Wario and might be more "classic" in general, Castlevania is a classic NES title. The original Bomberman was ported to the NES, but it didn't reach the level of Castlevania.
His series started and became popular on a Nintendo console.
Who is talking about a second Konami character?Anyway, I highly doubt we're getting a second Konami character, so, uh, yeah.
I think that, if ANY character breaks the unestablished notion that only one character can be in for each third party company, it should be Simon Belmont as a second Konami character.
More than Bomberman.
And yet Simon has less requests and affiliation with Nintendo. You're actually using invalid criteria to support Simon Belmont. Having a second Konami character and not using that oppurtunity to add the long over due and requested Bomberman? Really? That and compared to all the other third party potential bomberman's series does not even bring the wealth of assets and potential the likes of which castlevania and megaman do, such as legendary music, characters, etc.
...That's not weird or anything. A lot of people like Simon Belmont more than Bomberman.Nostalgia Critic
Layton is good, but I surely wouldn't say he is legendary.bomberman's cool and all, butt... what about layton?
I'm pretty sure Sakurai is at least close to 40 years old, so he at least had experience with games growing up. That is all I would contest here.Uhhh.........what???
How the hell do you know?
Again, how the hell do you know?
Yeah, Sakurai adds Third-Party characters based on money.![]()
Again, Bomberman is long overdue, more nintendo affiliated, and more requested. Again, not taking this golden opportunity is crazy....That's not weird or anything. A lot of people like Simon Belmont more than Bomberman.
Well, "long overdue" is both subjective AND could apply to any classic Nintendo icon. Like Simon Belmont.Again, Bomberman is long overdue, more nintendo affiliated, and more requested.
How am i using invalid criteria? You dont even know what they would use, just because you say hes long over due doesnt make him a bigger potential character, affiliation with nintendo isnt the only aspect they would look for so dont try to make it look like it adds a great deal. And whats funny is that the nostalgia critic even did two video game confession videos for snake and simon belmont, no bombermanAnd yet Simon has less requests and affiliation with Nintendo. You're actually using invalid criteria to support Simon Belmont. Having a second Konami character and not using that oppurtunity to add the long over due and requested Bomberman? Really?
