Barring Little Mac, which Brawl assist trophy, if any, do you think has the best chance of becoming a full-fledged character in SSB4?

Well maybe we would have more to talk about if Fire Emblem wasn't thrown in everyone's faces every 5 minutes.

I think Fire Emblem is well represented by Marth and Ike. I only really can see Ike going if Sakurai wants Shulk to be the new strong swordsman with giant blade. f that happens, I bet Sakurai would pencil in a FE rep as a replacement. I do not think FE warrants three spots.

I would be upset if Marth was the only character available, however I would definitely use Marth a lot more, and maybe even try to main him. But I don't see that happening anyway because there has always been two Fire Emblem characters since the series was introduced to Smash. I expect Ike and another character (Chrom/My Unit) to accompany Marth in Smash.

No. Ike was awesome. And I'd like to use him a bit more in SSB4 as well. And I'm sure many people want to see Chrom and Robin. Don't forget all the people who still want to see Roy as well.

BUT I would be okay if they didn't add any Fire Emblem characters at all, as long as they have two.

It's rare that I find a spin-off entry of a series better then the actual core games. I don't think it's ever happened before with me. PMD 2 is my favorite pokemon game to date.

I still haven't played the new PMD though, is it good? I finally might get a 3DS and that game is high on my priority list.

It's still pretty good, it lacks a lot of choices in terms of Pokémon but the story is still fun and enjoyable. Plus, the gameplay updates like experience being given to Pokémon not even on your current team really helps in making everything easier to work with.

I can't compare it to Sky since I haven't played it yet, but I'd say it's better then the original RB.

It is represented just fine with them, but it clearly warranted 3 spots in Brawl. Just add Roy since he's so requested and popular and you're all set. 3 makes sense considering there are so many.

I see Shulk being a semi-clone of Ike for some reason also.Maybe it's just me, because I never played Xenoblade, and from the pacing of the gameplay of XC, he looks slow when attacking just like Ike.

I definately do not think that FE should have three lords with swords.

A lord with a sword, one with an axe, and one with lance to represent the rock-paper-scissors battle system would probably be OK with Marth being the sword lord. But that will not happen.

I am not saying there will not be three sword lords, but with sword characters from other series gunning for a position I think it would be a waste to give that slot to another FE character.

Fe representation is good with Marth and Ike, the main Lord and the most recent. It would be cool to get Robin/my unit/avatar because it brings in something new from FE, rather than another lord with a sword. Either that or a magic user.

Hopefully all of the Assist Trophies this time are characters we know will not be playable.

Samurai Goroh, Isaac, Tingle, Starfy, Ray, Jill and every other character with a 3D Model.
Im not including Devil but i also have some hopes for him.

This is a good point. Assist Trophies might contribute more to turning people off of the game than reeling people in. I am not sure how Sakurai should handle this. Should he go for the ripping-the-bandaid-off technique and revealing the AT's soon so people have time to re-immerse themselves intot he game after learning their character is not in? Or should he withhold all but the most obscure AT's until release?

Either Sakurai is in the process of redesigning the item or replacing it altogether (with a slightly different function). Besides, we haven't really heard all that much revealing information in regards to items in general.

Also to take into consideration, Sakurai is keeping his cards close to his chest, so to speak, in that he isn't too revealing about potentially-included playable characters. The Assist Trophy item would all but de-confirm certain characters in the process of the item's reveal. Unless, of course, Sakurai only showcases the outward appearance of the Assist Trophy and not the technical functioning of said item.
