Smash Bros. is about celebrating Nintendo's rich gaming history. Little novelties and lesser known things of the gaming world show up as AT's and items. Better known and more important aspects show up as characters and the like.

I'm sure he said that, I mean it was in japanese, and which I TAKE, and it wasn't translated. And I never said everything he said was on that site, I was refering to the comment about not being ab;e to see his creations again, and the trio. I can't remember where I read about not holding back. It probably wasn't exactly reffering to his characters. But His characters will probably be effected by that statement.

The devil was from the game Devil World (Japanese Only) where you played as a dragon named Tamagon. It was almost like Pac Man game play wise. Anyway, I was actually pleasantly surprised that the game got recognition at all.

Anyway, I never said that Dedede won't be in the game or whatever you're probably thinking. I support the penguin as much as the next guy *looks at sig* but I was just pointing out that Sakurai is not giving special treatment to any of his characters; he's a very modest man. I don't know why we're arguing this anyway, because it has nothing to do with Ridley.

WTH is worng with you? i don't remember him having ago at Deedede for not knowing him your just making this **** up... and not remembering where you heard it how convenient.

But why would he ignore a character that placed second highest on the poll... tied with Diddy kong and Ike which (As we all know) are now PC's.

Its not like he is to big Bowser is a prime (Metroid Prime @ Gypsy!!) example of that.

And why else would he be a boss? because of the name of a song? we already covered that.

Which is why MOTHER 3 Franklin badge, MOTHER 3 music and a MOTHER 3 character (Lucas who may very will finally replace Ness as he was intended to in Melee) will be in Brawl right, despite it being a Japan only game (for now)? Assist Trophies are for characters that couldn't be playable, because of design it has nothing to do with how well they are known, other wise Pit would be an assist. But mister Metroid master here hates japan only stuff. (Which I'm positive a character are two will infiltrate his precious dream roster.

Popularity and how well they know is ONE factor but not the most important... Pit is there to represent Retro.

AT's are there for characters who couldn't make it into the roster / don't deserve a place.

First thing you said is hard to follow, and no I didn't make up that. I wouldn't lie about it. I just can't remember where I read it, unless it was a misinterpretation. And it's not like I'm trying to confirm a character so it's shouldn't be a big deal anyway. And I'm not arguing with him about Ridley (I don't care what Ridley appears as, but I DO hope he is playable more than not). I'm just saying that Ridely being a boss is NOT as big an insult as people may feel.

I never said he stated he hated Japan only stuff. I'm just getting that vibe from him and frankly you can stay out of this. It's not about you.

Pit WAS NOT in because of retro, he was in because of the famicom GBA mini series.
People on Japan sites said that since Pit got in because of that Takamaru should get in too. And Metroid Master doesn't want that.

Kraid was not a mindless Monster, he is highly inteligent and has the same rank as Ridley.

Normally I'm all for Ridley.. in fact hes really the only reason i want to buy Brawl.. i want to kick my friends *** with him.. [ he usually uses samus ]

But.. now that weve found out about these "non playable bosses" like petey piranah.. im having second thoughts.. Obviously Ridley is 100% going to be a boss for samus in the subspace emissary.. what with his "boss theme music" and what-not. So this must mean that hes not playable right?

He'll be difficult for Sakurai to make a moveset for being so lanky.. and as everyone has said.. HE IS MASSIVE.. and look!.. the subspace emissary bosses are MASSIVE!.. :O and they use only a couple of menuvours to attack their opponents.

His chances to me.. just got slimmer

Gannondorf is at least 7 ft tall. Does that mean he's going to a boss?
Look at Bowser. He's at least a million times bigger than any character on Mario Platform Games. Does that mean he's a boss?
Kraid is gigantic. Does that mean he's a Boss? **** no.
Donkey Kong is twice Mario's size in the FIRST ARCADE GAME/FIRST VIDEO GAME EVER MADE(I'm pretty sure, not positive).

Ridely is definitely going to playable, in my view. Mother Brain seems like the better candidate for Metroid boss.
