And how is Ridley a "shoe-in"? Why does there have to be a metriod villain again? That's like saying Pokey (Mother), Daein (FE: PoR) and Medusa (Kid Icarus) are in cause they are the perfect villain for their games.

Not like I hate Ridley (more the merrier), but the "I think he's so L33t so he must be already in" attitude of his fans is really annoying.

Like many have stated before me: popularity means nothing, especially when the character is, in of itself, illogical. Also, I might point out that I dont think that the SE is going to have a separate story for each character. From what i've seen in video's, you start off with Mario and Kirby fighting Petey, then go onto Pit and Mario etc. It's probably going to be just small sections with 2 characters, then move on to the next part of the story with 2 different characters. So you might be forced to fight Ridley with Samus, then the next level you play as him. But i'm not 100% sure on this, so dont take it too seriously.

1. Popularity does not determine whether you are in or out of brawl ( cause you know, Pit and Ice climbers were all the rave back when they were mentioned for smash)

3. As much as some people love to say this. One character being confirmed means nothing for the chances of another character that is not of the same series!
4. I've said this before but... you can never say a character is in unless s/he is on the DOJO and not every series has to have a villain!


My advice to you buddy. We all love our own special characters. Each person is entitled to be a fan of whoever/whatever they want. Just learn to chill out when talking about a character that you like and don't let your love for the character cloud your judgment, you'll just end up looking stupid.
Also, don't trash talk another series just to make the one you like look better. I like Kirby and Metroid

4. I doubt you predicated all of the current cast of Brawl, and even if you did that means nothing since there is a chance for you to be wrong until all of the characters are revealed. Oh and Popularity =/= 100% in Brawl.

Guess all that there is going for Ridley is popularity ( since not every series needs a villain). But thats just fine, being popular gives him a great chance. Whats wrong is when people think that " he is so popular and his thread is the biggestness so he is in and you're stupid if you think otherwise!" ( was to lazy to do the whole capaliztion thing this time).

Anyway I've spent to much time posting against Ridley's chances. It would be cool if he's in Brawl but, he might not be since nothing is 100% unless it's on the DOJO, Some people need to get pass all the fanboyism and learn to understand that.

I'm for Ridley but it bothers me to see some people that think that he or any character that isn't on the DOJO is defiantly in.

I think it's mostly the enthusiam, Xengri. People get so hyped up about a character they say things about them as if they're already confirmed. A lot of people are guilty of it... Although perhaps the Ridley fans are infamous for doing so. :D

But I just don't see how people can argue that he doesn't have a high chance. Ridley has made cameos in both the previous Smash games, and with the high demand for the character it's pretty much garunteed Ridley will be in Brawl in some form or another. (hopefully playable)
