Found this on the net, made my day and I thought I'd share.

Next time I run into a weeaboo on the net I am totally linking this comic to them.

Obvously you posted it here so I could see it because you know I don't read User Blogs.

This is great though.

(foreign) --> original -->American language <-- [ENGRISH?] - First mistake.
Classifying all anime as cartoons. - Second mistake.

Shows that even the comic creator is ignorant, however nowhere near as ignorant as the "weeaboo logic" he is trying to portray which is laughable at best. :s

where does the creator classify anime as cartoons? he's clearly stating "foreign cartoons", and foreign being american.

I wouldn't call the more "spicy" anime cartoons tbh.
After I read this I looked back at your username and laughed a little bit.

But how animation is classified doesn't really rely on the "spiciness" of the content. I'm not really sure what you meant when you said "spicy" in the first place... :p but for example, DragonBall Z is an anime, and it's also an animated cartoon. Death Note is both as well, despite the content and the genre being pretty different.

Edit: I think the joke is about the way people use and misuse terms when talking about foreign cultures, all the while pretending to be experts. It's like saying "Mexican language" when you really mean "Spanish." I don't think it's a mistake; I think it's a part of the punchline.

But weeaboos actually call Japanese... Japanese... 日本語 (Japanese Language)

I mean.... if it's a reverse weeaboo their at least getting the language correct. If it didn't make any references to America specifically when speaking about "foreign" then it wouldn't be a problem at all. All references to the US could've actually been cut out as the whole weeaboo thing isn't just the US anyways.

Also yes, yes I'm mad salty.

I don't know what you think cartoons are, but I'm pretty sure anime is included.
If you want to use the actual, literal - in the dictionary definition of "cartoon" then Da Vinci didn't paint a masterpiece of art.

He painted a cartoon.

Of course that's fine by me, but that's not how everyone uses the term nowadays. Words evolve- they come to mean different things. Look at ***. It used to refer to cigarettes. Now it's a derogatory term for homosexual. So I don't always stick with the dictionary definition of ****.

Sorry that I used the more general meaning rather than the given meaning. But there comes a point in time where that's pretty acceptable.

Now please hold on while I **** you in a Brawl match.

Try to take that as it's literal definition, out of context a bit. See if it doesn't seem out of place at all...

-rest of the quote cut out-
IDC about dictionary definitions here. You're the one who brought them up.

Cartoons these days mean animated drawings or CG.
How is anime not just that?

So how does the fact that he called English "American language" change the irony and message of the comic?

And it was one ****ing awesome cartoon.

You're right, the meaning of the word "cartoon" has evolved over time. Now it refers to hand drawn or computer generated images stung together to create a film.

... which is exactly what anime is. A cartoon, only it's from Japan.

I really wouldn't call saying the American language as incorrect seeing as it's more of a dialect of the original English language.

Just like you call Spanish in Mexico Mexican or wherever.

And dude, it's just a comic. Calm the **** down lol

Stamping your library books.
Butthurt weeaboos never calm down once you've called their obsession a cartoon.
Hey man, not every series of animated drawings are cartoons, some are art.

Because they're from Japan or something. I don't really know why, ask SuSa.

Also Da Vinci didn't paint any cartoons, I think. I've browsed around, and cartoons usually depict humorous situations/are satire. Don't think D-Vinch did anything like that.
