Reset controller without rebooting

I've just read on Melee's manual that you can reset the calibration of your controller by holding X + Y + Start for 3 seconds. It's nice if you want to do the L/R trick, or if you turned on the console with a control-stick tilted, but don't want to restart the console.

I didn't know this information, so I thought I should share :)

i tried this and my controller stopped rumbling. i would only recommend this if your willing to play without the rumble function. it did return after a few days though.

what really bugs me is when people go to reset their controller

but they don't pick up their got-danged coin off their character

so it skips to the stage selection stage or starts a match accidentally

have some common courtesy
hit that B button first!

Wait, does that really turn off rumble? That'd be nifty for people who play without rumble and don't feel like turning it off in the options menu (I just took the rumble packs out, so not really an issue for me).
