To come back from 7-0 at any point of a game, especially very late is an amazing feat. That's very impressive. I wonder if this win is going to suck the confidence out of the Rays. I kind of doubt it but they were playing with worry at the end when Boston was coming back. If Boston does come back to win the series than that would be so unreal. I was shocked they did it to New York in 2004 and Cleveland in 2007. Beating the Rays the next two games in Tampa is going to be tough but if any team can do it than it's definatly Boston.

It was a great comeback but I think the Rays will win the series and the WS. They remind me of the 69 Mets (I'm a Mets fan) so that's why I'll think they'll win.

Don't hate me Red Sox Nation. I also hate the Yanks and the Sawx are my second favorite team.

Is it just me or does it seem like these announcers are soooo pro-boston?

I'm not a big fan, but I live in MA, so I ultimately don't have much of a choice.

Anyways, tonight is pretty @#$%ing important.

Not a fan of baseball actually. But considering I go to college in Boston, not liking the Sox is a bit of a sin.

Has anyone noticed in MLB in this decade that every year there is a suprise team that makes it to the World Series?

2000: New York Mets
2001: Arizona Diamondbacks
2002: (I guess Angels and Giants could have been expected to make World Series)
2003: Flordia Marlins (Hadn't been to playoffs since 1997. Were champions then.)
2004: Red Sox (Maybe expected to go there but definately not to win due to curse.)
2005: White Sox
2006: Tigers (I was shocked at this one. Being a Tigers fan all my life this was unbelievable because they've sucked)
2007: Rockies
2008: Rays

Fix'd.

What's even stranger is that some of those teams were wild-card teams. Let's see if you guys know without looking at the spoiler.

2000 Mets, Both Angels and Giants in 2002, 2003 Marlins, 2004 Red Sox, 2005 Astros and 2007 Rockies

I'd change the title to "World Series" f8lmatt.

rays all the way, even though I cheered Sox in ALCS.
