If you mash B fast enough he'll go a little bit higher, I mainly use it for like a stall or to force the guy edge guarding to get off my ledge. ^_^

Actually the Nado is used moreso for the slight horizontal boost gained from proper DI, where Doc needs all the help he can get.

Or stalling.

Aeroman--not only do you have to be tapping B quickly: after you press down initially, hold the analog stick in the direction you want to move, and you will go up at an angle in that direction.

Though getting it perfect does help vertical recovery, its main use is what Gea said.

Yeah - DI upwards then use tornado to get horizontally toward the stage - remember to keep tapping!

It has a little horizontal recovery, but it's used, I'm assuming for verticle recovery. As many people stated before, it's for stalling and other stuff.

If your PTP isnt perfect than its best not to use it except for stalling.

If you want to perfect it, go to Kirby 64 and go below the platform and PTP. If you can land on the top of the first platform, then you can PTP pretty well if not perfect.

actually, a better way to practice is go to FD.

tornado, and then double jump.

If you can double jump afterward, then you gained vertical distance.

Of even go onto Fountain of Dreams and try and reach the top platform.

As dogy said (btw nice new avatar), it's better to just go to FD. If you gained vertical distance then you will be able to DJ. Makes more sense then trying to get to the top platform.
