Recovering air to ground w/ opponent below

I'm not refering to spiking, but what's the best way to hit someone below you while in the air above mid-stage while trying to get back on the ground? My timing with the down air smash prolly sucks and that's the problem, but I always get smoked by someone below me with their up air. To get around it I sometimes air dodge or fall down to the left or right of the stage.

Monkey Flip to the side and Kung-Fu kick them from the right/left side.

or DI to either side and bair the opposite side.

or perfectly time a nair

Spike them with your rocket barrels

You recover and they die!

depends on the character. in most cases, just try to get to the ground.

sometiems I airdodge to the ground and fsmash.

but othertimes a n-air works
