Pretty much this.
There are several others I'd rather have in but I don't like going against characters being in Smash all that much. Plus I like the Rayman games for their weirdness.

Agreed, smash, imo, is open to so many great canidates. Rayman is iconic and a cool character, so why not?

I knew somethings up, I literally said after the leak was shown fake, that ubisoft may have hired him to fake the leak. He has a graphic designer job but doesn't say where. It would mak sense as ubi is very greedy and may have wanted to test if he would sell and generate hype well.

You do bring up a good point on how someone who's followed by a major company wouldn't now just realize it. But at the same time, I wouldn't suspect something is up yet. I would like to believe this is all a stunt though.

I'd suggest against it. The leak has shown the support, especially since next to v day, rayman was most trending on twitter.

Twitter can say recently followed at random dates. If you follow in february if 2014 it can put it in 2013. The same thing probably happened here. Raynan probably just followed him.

Seriously, guys. Don't expect too much. We have really nothing to expect at this point - all we'll be left with is frustration in most cases. Karissa the destroyer was set up, but I don't really see the relation to this Rayman fake. We know nothing until something gets official (or we get a gameplay-leak), but that is highly unlikely. Since Mewtwo was described as an "experiment to test the waters", we shouldn't expect anything before his launch. And I'm saying this as a huge Rayman fan & supporter. After this fake (I don't like the word "leak" btw, it's just wrong to say that if it isn't a confirmed leak) we reached a level of anticipation that surpassed every aspect of reality...

Miiverse wouldn't be a bad idea, though there is the possibility we wouldn't be taken seriously, given Miiverse's reception.

Cautious about DLC? I do know that some people have said that Sakurai was also afraid of making DLC. So he is both cautious and afraid to make DLC, I take it?

And by that, you mean you used subsurf, right? Seems like it.

The shirt wrinkles and detail on the shoes are made by a normal map texture, so it gives off depth without actually being made from extra polygons.

Can I ask, what did you use to give the model more polys? From the last image, is it Blender? Or something else? It also looks like you made the textures better or something...Either way, I'm impressed...

There are many people on Smashboards who will come to this thread to tell you that Rayman isn't worthy enough to be in Smash Bros. Let me tell you something else; they will try to beat us down to our knees until we can't take it anymore. So I suggest you do this for not just each other, but for JamesDNeux; no matter how great the opposition is, keep on fighting. Have optimism for the future; if Mega Man can get in, then why can't Rayman? Plus, unlike some other third-party characters, there's actually some merit in having Rayman in Smash Bros; his series already has three trophies and the ArtsyOmni leak helped revitalized the idea that he could be in Smash. We're getting so many supporters! This type of momentum is what this thread needs.
