It would really kill the point of a 'surprise' character if the entire new roster was all the characters that people wanted. The poll is just to see who's popular and everything, doesn't mean that everyone on there is getting in. Also, if they feel they should represent F-Zero more, Goroh would fit the spot perfectly. Simon is somewhat wanted, but his chances, being a third party character, aren't as high as everyone seems to think.

I'll give Tom Nook twenty percent. Animal Crossing is pretty popular but it's about community and getting along and all that stuff. There's no doubt in my mind that it could be represented outside of a trophy but a fighter would seem kinda weird.

I think he has a exellent chance for appearing in SSBB, but as a non-playable character in a course or something like that. He was a trophy before Animal Crossing's release date, and I suppose that counts for something. As much as I like him, I doubt he'll be playable, though it would be funny to be him and whack opponents with nets, fishing rods, axes, and shovels. Even throw furniture and stuff, lol!

Considering eveything I give him a fair 35% chance.

It should be obvious by now I nominate The Wind Waker Link 5x! O ya, and considering his moveset is more acrobatic and nothing like Twilight Princess Link's, that increases his chances! Go The Wind Waker Link!

[The Franchise]

Animal Crossing is iffy, its one of Nintendo's newest game franchises but at the same its your basic personal life simulation type game. Not exactly easy to have the main character show up in Smash when each player has designed him or her differently. I could see AC easily getting represented by a stage in Smash. Still, is it right to have the stage without a character to relate to it?

A raccoon shopkeeper? (he is a raccoon right?) Different and he could pound out some savings to all his oppents.

Animal Crossing is one of the Gamecube's top 10 sellers, and I'm pretty sure Wild World is one of the top 10 selling DS games, if not in the top 20. He doesn't seem posible, but if you look at the Mii's many of them look like the Animal Crossing human characters you can have. O and Yes Tom Nook is a racoon The Franchise.

Considering this I think that Resetti has a better chance, but only if he comes out of his hole. He actually has a shovel, he could dig as an attack, and if he gets out of that dang hole he could have a better chance than Tom Nook. Still, if Animal Crossing has a rep, I wonder who, or more importantly what will it be? I really wonder...

Thank You for clearing this up Numa Dude. Now that this is cleared up, I still give Tom Nook the same chance (35% chance). Still, I beleive there will be a Animal Crossing course, probably with Tom Nook in it if he isn't a playable character in the game (in other words, he'll be non-playable). I like him, but i doubt he'll have his own slot. Then again, you never know what to expect!

Tom Nook... I'd say he has a low 30% chance of making it. Seriously, he doesn't really have that whole fighter theme going on. I don't see how he could become a fighter in Brawl when the only things he's known to do are buy and sell. It just doesn't seem possible.

5% Seriously? Animal Crossing? It will definitely get n item or stage, but a character, doubtful. IT's too much of a stretch, and there are better stretch characters. Anyway, I think there should be more franchises referenced by stge and item without playable characters. That way people won't feel they nee to cram all of Nintendo into the lots available.

I like Tom Nook. However, I believe I read somewhere (don't remember where) that Sakurai doesn't like the idea of an AC fighter, he also said he thought it would be nice to have an AC stage though.... this brings my opinion to 40%
