Pretty much, it is Nintendo's first video game character and he appeared on an arcade machine. I don't think he has ever appeared since besides a trophy in Melee.

I don't see how Daitoryo isn't the perfect historical choice. It's seems so crazy, but also perfectly in line with Game and Watch and ROB. It's not a fighter, it's a big part of Nintendo's history, the most retro it gets, almost nobody is considering it. Huh... I want to nominate him next round.
He seems so unlikely, but after thinking about it, it seems like something Sakurai would add.
When he was rated before, he got a 11.99% chance and a 36.80% want.

Chance - 0.95% - Yep, same as last time. Possible, but too much competition in his way who could do more.

Want - 35% - Eh. Generic Sheriff Move set isn't exactly interesting.

Mario Cart 8 Stage

Chance - 35 - OK, now that I know Rainbow Road doesn't count, I think this is taking a nosedive. I mean, seriously, we already have 2 Mario Cart Tracks, assuming Mario Circuit makes a return. Why another?

Want - 20% - I'd rather just have Mario Circuit again, if need be.

Prediction

Prof. Layton - 4.53% - How the heck did he get over 10%? Yeah, needs to be dropped.

Ryu Hayasuba - 0.58% - Double that of Capcom's other Ryu.

IIRC, Gardevoir did appear in Greninja's trailer, which is enough evidence for disconfirmation.
I'm almost positive that Gardevoir was shown off at the Pokeball segment...
I can confirm this; it was shown in the Poke Ball segment.

Sheriff

Is boring and generic and obscure.

Sheriff chances: 2%
Sheriff want: 1%

Mario Kart 8 stage

+ It's the newest Mario Kart
+ It's going to be a huge release for the Wii U... a lot of Nintendo's hopes are pinned on it
+ The Wii U version's extra dev time means that stages and other non-character content could be in the Wii U version despite seeming to come too late

- Generally we've been one generation/game behind on stages and so forth
- They might think MK doesn't need a stage on both platforms... and F-Zero needs a stage which would inevitably be similar
- Rosalina reveal showed Mario Kart Wii's Rainbow Road... But then again, MK8 Rainbow Road was not revealed until months later, and the generic rainbow look of the Wii version probably fit better

MK8 stage chances: 33%
MK8 stage want: 70%
I want them to put some of that music in, but it doesn't need to be on an MK stage

Still up Peach's dress.
Sheriff
Chance: 3%
Too obscure, and doesn't scream 'exciting character' to anyone not in the know...even his name is uninspired.

Want: 0%
Takamaru to me looks like a generic samurai. Similarly Sheriff looks like a generic cowboy. I don't want either since both designs are uninspired.

Mario Kart 8 stage:
Chance: 20%
Erimir hit the key point for me here:
"- Generally we've been one generation/game behind on stages and so forth"

However I give it 20% since Sakurai does see the two versions as Smash 4 and Smash 5...no one else does, but he's the man that matters on this.

Want: 65%
Mario Kart 8 has been enough to encourage me to get a Wii U. I've avoided as many track spoilers as possible right now though, so this is as high as I can realistically give whilst being completely out the loop with what the stages actually look like.

Predictions:
Ryu Hayasuba: 3.4%
Not quite legendary enough...not even quite as legendary as the Street Fighter Ryu.

Layton: 8%
Also not legendary enough...but people constantly associate him with Nintendo, so he may actually get a little higher than Ryu.

I'm not very sure what all the hype about Sheriff is. Yes, his character is clearly very important to Nintendo history, but he doesn't seem as popular as G&W or ROB. Those characters also both presented very unique moveset opportunities, while Sheriff seems pretty stale in terms of uniqueness. He just doesn't seem like a logical addition.

Want: 1%
Sakurai would have to come up with a legendary moveset for me to be glad for Sheriff's inclusion. He just doesn't seem like he would be notable enough or entertaining enough to include.

Mario Kart 8:
Chance: 35%
It's an extremely popular Mario character. However, the inclusion of Rainbow Road certainly makes this less likely. Seems like a pretty good chance that a stage will be made. (Note: not saying every popular Mario game will have a stage)

Want: 20%
To be honest, a Mario Kart 8 stage seems like it would be pretty boring. Once again though, if Sakurai can spice it up and make it fun, then I would be all for it.

Predictions:
Ryu: 4%
Professor Layton: 11%

Sheriff:

Chance: 1%

This guy appears to be REALLY obscure. Overall, he appears to be outclassed big time. As a (retro) character, there are several more notable reps with more options than this guy. Also, I doubt he has as big of a revival chance as the other retros. If he retains his pixelated look, Game&Watch already has him beat to the punch for that style. Even as an assist, Pong beats him to Hell and back.

Want: 1%

The only reason I'm not putting him at absolute zero is that one unique moveset that can be given is a mix between a stereotypical cowboy and his game's 8 direction gimmick for his A moves. (To elaborate, his ground and air A moves will have 8 different moves in stead of 3 [side, up, down]. It will be [forward, up, down, back, f-up, f-down, b-up, b-down] and all of these moves will be different moves, not just tilting, giving him a variety of options and general unpredictability. As compensation, he might not have a jab.)

MK8 Track:

Chance: 1%

I swear there has to be some sort of cutoff date for game references. I feel this would be too late in development to include, much like my opinion of Sceptile.

Want: 10%

I think it could be somewhat interesting with cars coming at you from the top and bottom of the screen (opposite of Balloon Fight if you will), but I think F Zero would be better suited for that.

Copy & Pasting my rating from last time we rated the Sheriff. My stance on him has not changed.

Sheriff - 2%

He is kind of significant in a way, being one of Nintendo's earliest games. However, the game itself didn't leave much of an impact on Nintendo, and it was relatively unpopular, mainly because of it's control scheme. And the Sheriff doesn't even do much other than shoot bandits with a gun. I think he is indeed possible, but his potential his extremely small, and he has competition from other retros such as Takamaru and Lip, who are both more popular, well known and have more potential.

He was Nintendo's first game IIRC, so that's the sole reason I'm rating him as high as I did.

Want - 50%

He can't offer much, but at the same time, I wouldn't really mind if he was in or not. I'm indifferent to him.

Mario Kart 8 stage - 10%

In a similar manner to Tropical Freeze, this game seems a little too new, I doubt we'll get any content from it in Smash 4. Maybe a Mario Kart Wii stage, but 8 seems to be too new still.

Want - 90%

All of my yes. I'd like to see either this or a Mario Kart Wii stage, as long as it's handled better than it was in Brawl.

Professor Layton Prediction - 12.05%

Ryu Hayabusa Prediction - 0.75%

Maybe I'm blind, but this thread reeeeeaaaaally needs to have all the pictures used for characters' presentation assembled somewhere in the first page.
What exactly do you mean? I usually just grab pics off of Google Images for a day, and then remove them as soon as the day ends. If you're asking me to archive them, I'm afraid that's just not feasible; I've lost all past photos, and I'd prefer to avoid mass hotlinking as much as possible.
I can confirm this; it was shown in the Poke Ball segment.
Check at 0:18 and you'll see Gardevoir.
Yeah. I originally didn't know Gardevoir was in the trailer, so I was planning on making the day after Hoenn Confirmed "Sceptile, Blaziken and Gardevoir." I dropped Gardevoir when I realized, and I dropped the ball in forgetting that Plusle and Minun exist.
Professor Layton Prediction: 6.94%
If Groose's intentions were to lower his chance than to raise his want, then I expect to see that happen here.
My chance score will be roughly half of what I gave him the last time, and I was slightly under the average the last time. This time, however, I am bringing in the heavy artillery with regards to his want score; I want to see him break the 50% want mark. He's the only character on my sig that has been unable to do so, if I am remembering my sig correctly.

Sheriff: 6.66%

I thought Dillon was the most likely Western-themed character before his deconfirmation; it seemed to me like he had more going for him than Sheriff. This made me rate Sheriff pretty low. Now that Dillon is gone, I have increased Sheriff's score a bit--it's clear that Dillon won't beat him out--but not by too much; I see less chance of getting a Western-themed character in general now.

Sheriff Want: 100%
I think a Western character would be really awesome and fit in really well; I also really like characters designed to look old fashioned. If Sheriff were pixelated, I'd like him; if he were redesigned, I'd like him. All aboard!

Mario Kart 8 Stage: 33%
There's a chance Sakurai has played some of the new tracks and is keen on including them; I see it more likely that he just decided to go with a Mario Kart Wii stage instead.

Mario Kart 8 Stage Want: Abstain
My want would be entirely dependent upon which track they select, and I have no idea which one they would. If it does happen, fingers crossed for Sunshine Airport.

Mr. Resetti x5
...over two hundred days in, and we haven't rated him yet. Anyone else remember who survived the AT massacre?

Sheriff
6.03% chance (was 7.50%)
30.12% want (was 16.82%)

That's rather unusual. Usually when a character's chance decreases, their want plummets; that is certainly not the case today. Sheriff went from being a rather hated character to one with a lukewarm reception; his chance dropped off, but it remains in roughly the same sphere it was before. Looks like the bullet Sakurai shot at Dillon ricocheted off of him and hit the Sheriff, too.

Mario Kart 8 Stage
39.93% chance
58.84% want

I don't know what else to say here other than that the consensus is it may be a little too soon for one, but it would be pretty cool if it did happen.

Today is third-party day! First up we have Professor Layton. Although he's a newer character (his first appearance was less than a year before Brawl), he has had seven games across the DS and the 3DS and even received an anime movie; his series has sold over fifteen million copies worldwide. Unfortunately, his series seems to be either ending or taking a radically new direction in which he is no longer a big part. Even so, he's the most famous gentleman in video gaming. Will that and his relative recency keep him out? In addition, we have Ryu Hayabusa. Ryu is a gaming icon; the Ninja Gaiden franchise has spanned the decades. Although his connection to Nintendo is on the decline as he's gone multiplat, he was an NES star and remains the most famous ninja in all of video gaming. Will he manage to duke it out with Sheik and Greninja? Please rate Professor Layton and Ryu Hayabusa in chance and want. There. I tried to be pretty objective; expect that to change soon. Tomorrow we're discussing a potential Halcandra stage (from the Kirby franchise) and rating Mewtwo yet again. Please predict how this will go.

Professor Layton Chance: 35% I think he has a very good chance at being this game, but due to being a third party, his chances are already reduced to 50/50. Due to having a big relationship with Nintendo and Level-5 being open to his inclusion and it being a really big series whom gain success in the impressive span of seven years and even having a movie, I can really see Sakurai pulling for him as playable, as he is a unique character who offers a completely different moveset from everyone else who has been in Smash at this point.

Professor Layton Want: 100% Got my copy of Azran Legacy two weeks ago, I gotta say even as a hater of the puzzle genre, I absolutely love the characters, music, and challenge the game has to offer. I want Layton even more now, he needs to be in Smash, it's pretty hard to not think he'll be in Smash. He's basically the Banjo-Kazooie of Smash, only the opportunity is open and they aren't owned by Sony or Microsoft. With the series ending with Azran Legacy as Layton's last appearance, I hope Sakurai fulfills the gentleman's only chance.

Ryu has NES roots, but he's still not identified with Nintendo consoles the way classic Megaman is. And other Ninja characters seems to make him less likely.

Shoot, didn't realize I won on Prince Fluff! Oh well Micaiah is almost there, so I will save them up...

Professor Layton
Chance: 40% I think he makes sense, especially since he's been on only Nintendo Systems all his life.
Want: 100% Since Megaman takes away Phoenix Wright's chances, Layton would be the next best choice. I love what UMvC3 did with Wright, and Sakurai can do the same with Layton

Ryu
Chance: 2% I don't see him. He's not popular enough, and I don't think he's too linked to Nintendo
Want: 1% I guess he'd be ok, but I don't like having guys like this in Smash. Characters from violent games don't fit in my opinion. That includes Snake.

Professor Layton

Chance: 30%

To my knowledge, the Professor Layton property is owned by Level 5, but the games are published by Nintendo outside of Japan. The only additional third party character we'll probably get is Pac-Man, but you never know. At least Layton has a strong connection to Nintendo.

Want: 70% 100%

He would be an interesting choice from what I've seen of his games.

Ryu Hayabusa

Chance: 0.1%

Ninja Gaiden's protagonist has made recent appearances on Nintendo platforms (Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword, Dead or Alive Dimensions, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, and if you want to count Virtual Console releases, then go ahead), but the series has only been relevant on Xbox and, to an extent, PlayStation. Razor's Edge started as a Wii U exclusive, but it didn't sell, causing the game to go multiplatform and showing that 90% of Nintendo fans don't care for whatever reason.

Want: 70%

He would an interesting choice.

Most esteemed gentlemen. Our dear Professor has not fared well in the want department before here; I believe we should change that. Try to win as many converts to Layton as you can today and be sure to give him a 100% want score. That said, we must be gentlemen here; do not be pushy with you beliefs, do not inflate his chance score, do not spoil any end-game details. Use the Professor as a model of conduct and let's boost his score!

NON-SUPPORTERS:

Hello, dear reader! Yes, I am referring to...

...YOU!

Sir, you do not want Professor Layton to appear in the next Smash Bros. game? Please allow me an opportunity to change your mind. I think that you will find Layton to be an excellent choice after I explain a bit more about him and break some misconceptions surrounding him. Allow me to start with a brief overview: Layton is an archaeology professor from an interesting interpretation of Victorian England. He's a true gentleman in every sense of the word, and he is cited as one of the most brilliant minds alive; he is the puzzle master. The Scotland Yard often comes to him for help in figuring out how crimes were perpetrated; he is an excellent investigator. He's also not unfamiliar to the legal world...

Now, allow me to correct one common misconception: he is NOT a pacifist. As a gentleman, he always seeks to find a peaceful resolution if at all possible, but he will resort to combat if necessary. He's saved the day on multiple occasions, and many times have been with his sword rather than with his brain. Layton is a fencing expert; he's battled everything from royalty to tomb guardians to evil scientists with his sword in hand. In the following spoiler tag, I have an example of him fighting; it's taken from the anime. Although it is from near the end, it doesn't spoil too much; if you're new to the Layton series, I'd say it's OK to watch. Know that although this clip is from the anime, he does so in the majority of the games as well.

[collapse=Sword Fighting]

[/collapse]

You may be wondering right about now: why would I want him if he's another boring sword user? First of all, his personality and design is radically different from other sword users; secondly, he can do much more than just use his sword. Across his games, Professor Layton has had to think his way out of many tight situations. In many cases, he has to build some sort of cool contraption in order to fight back or to make a stand. Just take a look at this:

becomes...

Layton's contraptions range from a barrel rocket to a slot machine gun to a hanglider to a robot to many other, less notable things. Wouldn't it be neat to see special moves that look something like this?

Finally on the moveset front, Layton has his puzzles. The Layton series is all about mystery and good puzzles; it's tough to say how logic puzzles would work in a fighting game, but hey: in Sakurai we trust, right?

Yet the reason above all else that I want him in this game? The Layton franchise is bursting with character. It has a lot of interesting locales and characters, and it really stands out from other Smash franchises. Its music is also quite different and beautiful; some songs would work well in a Smash environment. I'd recommend all of the following songs for your listening pleasure:

Layton's Theme (Check this one out at least, please! One of the greatest tracks in gaming history!)
Last Specter Final Battle
Lost Future Theme
Descole's Theme
Pursuit: Spellbreaker

If I have done nothing else, hopefully I have encouraged you to try the Layton franchise. It's one of my all-time favorites, and anyone who used to (or still does) enjoy reading mysteries or those who love a good brain teaser will love the franchise.

I guess you can say that Sakurai Shot the Sheriff. I can't believe that I made a music reference...

Professor Layton and Ryu Hayabusa have been added to the Directory.
If you have rated Professor Layton, check to see what you've said on his day!

Professor Layton
Chance:
4%

I overrated him before with a 16%.
To be fair, if he was a Nintendo owned character, he would have been a far more likely character. Heck, I would give him a score that is as high as Shulk (80%) or King K. Rool (90%). The major issue is that... well... he's third party. That's what decimates most of his chances. While Professor Layton is close with Nintendo and has almost become synonymous with them (like Mega Man and Bomberman to an extent, probably more so than them), I can't see him get in over other third parties.
First is Snake, a popular veteran. Then there is Pac-Man, an iconic character who is the mascot of the company working on the game. Where does this leave Professor Layton? Rather low. If both of these two get in, then that means that we have 4 third parties. There simply is no room for Layton.
I know that the creator has mentioned that he wanted to see Layton in Smash, but who doesn't want to see their character in the most popular fighting game of all-time? I find this comment to be null-and-void.
I am giving him 4% on the merits that he is a close third party character and that he is apparently the most wanted character in Europe. Someone on the SSB4 development team might pull for him.
Want: 60%
He is definitely a Nintendo character at heart. He's a third party character yes, but he has a Nintendo vibe to him. I have never played a Professor Layton game, but I would have given him a pretty high want rating if he wasn't a third party character (perhaps 90%). But still, I would like to see him just to see what moveset Sakurai could make for him.
In terms of third party characters, I rather see Bomberman and even Slime. But Layton? He could be pretty cool.

Ryu Hayabusa
Chance:
0%

There is a lack of interest from both the developers and the fans. I doubt that he will be even considered by Sakurai. I can imagine that someone on the development team would pull for Bomberman, Slime, and even Layton to be in Smash. But for Ryu Hayabusa? I severely doubt it.
At least there is always Dead or Alive!
Want: 0%
No thank you.

Halcandra Stage Prediction: 25.35%

Why are we rating Mewtwo again?
I believe that people perceive his odds as dropping because of the Hoenn remakes; although he was "relevant" in X and Y, he has lost this steam in the region of Hoenn. I expect a slight drop, but I agree; I wouldn't have nominated him myself.

Layton: 35% literally the only thing holding him back is him being 3rd party, and even then it's more like 2nd1/2 party cause all his games are localized by Nintendo. Yes, that includes voice acting.

In all honesty, I'm not sure why I was tagged for that post, of all people. I would have thought I was infamous for arguing against Layton's inclusion more than anything else related to him.

But, since you've dragged me in here...

Well, Groose, I think you put together a very nice pro-Layton post there. You do emphasize the important qualities Layton has that would make him an excellent character. However, you left out one detail...

Layton is third party.

Sad as it is, Layton is a third party character. Considering Sakurai's apparently very high standards for adding in third party characters, I don't think Layton rises up to those standards. Granted, he has a growing series of six main series games in total, and all of them have been quite popular. However, I don't think this is enough. Going by Sakurai's comments regarding third parties, it would seem that third party characters have to be really big names, legendary figures, gaming icons, the best of the best. Layton is just not a gaming icon. His series is much more along the lines of series like Animal Crossing, Pikmin, or Wario Ware, good series that have a good amount of popularity behind them, but they don't match up to the likes of giants like the Mario series/empire, the Sonic series, or something like Pac-Man. I mean, if he wasn't third party, I would say he'd be a perfect candidate for Smash, perhaps even a near shoo-in. But that's just not the case.

Professor Layton Want: 100%

Yeah, I did just say he would be a perfect candidate for Smash if he wasn't third party. I would love to have Layton on the roster. He's such a great character from a fantastic series who could bring so much to Smash as a whole. For how much I argue against him being a likely character choice, I still love the character and would be incredibly hyped for this game if Layton made an appearance. Heck, I'm more of a Layton fan then I let on, really. I'm sure an observant Professor Layton fan could figure out why...

Professor Layton the word's greatest archeologist and puzzle solver.
Chance: This game reminds me of a puzzle. :)

Puzzle #222

A man visiting Smashboards is trying to figure out the percentage chance of a certain character of appearing in SSB4 using the following clues. Can you help him?

Clue 1: The character is third party.
Clue 2: The series has been very successful and has appeared exclusively on Nintendo consoles.
Clue 3: The character could possibly be another sword user. Could possibly be made unique with inventions.
Clue 4: Pac-Man and Snake are still strong competition.
Clue 5: The creater of the series has openly supported the idea.

What is the percentage chance?

a) 0%
b) 5%
c) 13%
d) 50%
e) 100%

The answere is c) 13%.

Want: 100% - Another Puzzle solved.

Ryu the ninja
Chance: 0% - He's no longer at the peak of his popularity. Including him now would be so ridiculously random that it would make almost no sense.
Want: 28% - Not a big fan.

Halcandra stage prediction: 37%
Mewtwo prediction: 74%

Nominations: Captain Toad x5

I forgot to mention that when sakurai said that third party characters were special circumstances only, layton is a special circumstance too cause NOA localizes it. Same with NoE, I think...

@ Smasher 101 Smasher 101 I don't see my name on unused nominations. Just wanted you to know. Not sure if you were just planning on adding them later.

Also, in regards to Layton, his series might need some representation in smash. Mainly because with his series taking a new turn soon, it seems important to get as many fans as possible before the change, just in case old timers don't like it. Layton in smash can help his series greatly.

Layton: 2% I don't find him likely. He has to go thru Pac-Man. That won't happen. If Pac-Man (somehow) fails to get in, We have Snake. While I don't find him likely, He still is a veteran, and that comes before Layton.
Want: 0%

Ryu: 0.01% Nope.
Want: 0% Nope.

Halcandra Stage: 13.69%
Mewtwo: 76.21%

I won't deny it, Layton certainly sounds like a good character I want to see in Smash but the fact he is 3rd party & has to compete against Pac-Man & Snake for the next 3rd party rep makes me think he won't be playable which is a shame.

Want: 65%

Ryu Hayabusa

Chance: 0%

Doesn't have any close ties with Nintendo anymore, lack of interests from the devs & fans, a character Sakurai will probably not even look at.

Want: 0% - No thanks.

In all honesty, I'm not sure why I was tagged for that post, of all people. I would have thought I was infamous for arguing against Layton's inclusion more than anything else related to him.

It's as I've said many times before; there is a fundamental difference to chance scores and want scores.
Chance scores are where we seek to be as objective as we possibly can; with those we must transcend our biases and seek the one truth.

That alone makes what you give Layton in chance to me irrelevant.
I would not call you in here to boost that score; that would go against my policy of keeping the chance scores unbiased.
Besides, I personally will give Layton less than that when I get to rating him. I see his odds as... slim.

I called you here to boost his want score.
I know that you love him, and couldn't resist giving him a high score there.
Other fanbases on this board unify and flock to this thread to make known that their character has its fans, so we must do it, too.

That is all I have to say on the matter.
Thanks for dropping by.
As an aside to all:
I feel my actions today are justified.
I am not trying to cheat the system or anything like that.
For a lot of characters, people make big support posts and invite fan bases in.
It's part of this game, and I have let it occur with many characters in the past.
Also, despite what I've focused on so far, I feel his chances legitimately need to be reevaluated.
My chance score will be considerably lower than what I gave him last time.

Well, can't argue with that... Wait, shouldn't you have used a Layton gif for the occasion? I guess they aren't as varied as Phoenix Wright ones, but they could work.

Anyway, if I may make one request, I would like to see this piece of music added to that post you made. Then again, it's more of one of my personal favorite songs from the series. I'm not too sure what others think of it...

Professor Layton
Chance: 5%
  • Third party
  • Third party
  • Third party
  • Not getting in before PacMan
  • Smash isn't getting lots of 3rd parties even if all the characters games are in Nintendo's console
  • Not more iconic that Megaman, Sonic or the speculed Pacman (Snake you don't count)
Want: 14% basically I prefer to have Nintendo's IP represented more than guest characters, nothing against Layton

Ryu
Chance: 0%
Want: 0%

*Gets letter.*

I've been invited to defend and rate Professor Layton?

I accept!

Professor Layton

Chance: 30%

Professor Hershel Layton represents a Nintendo DS exclusive series, and while he may be third-party, his chances are alright considering his sales history. As of August 2013, the Professor Layton series has sold over 15 Million Copies. Compare this with the Star Fox series, which has sold 11.5 million, and the popular Animal Crossing, which has sold 7 million.*
While I may seem a bit overrating our good Professor, his sales are not the only good thing going for him. Akihiro Hago, the one of the creators of Professor Layton and CEO of Level-5, has expressed interest for Layton to be in SSB4, as stated in an interview.**

If one looks closely, being a unique character, and having quite the number of supporters in Europe, and the reasons stated above, Professor Layton has a slight advantage when coming to the rating board for potential characters.

However, he still is a Third-Party, significantly reducing his chances. But even with this major detractor, I'm certain that a 30% rating is fair enough.

Want: 100%

Let's put it this way, if Super Smash Bros. 4 introduced Slime, Shadow, Bidoof, and Professor Layton as newcomers, I wouldn't care a bit about the rest. I'm a HUGE fan of the series... to the point where I've held off on getting the last Professor Layton game (Azran Legacy) until I've played all previous titles again. I'd run the streets with enthusiasm... in a gentlemanly way, mind you.

@ Groose Groose - Thanks for inviting me to judge! I hope I did the great puzzle-solving professor a service today with my ratings.

Nomination: Sal Leak is Real X5

Hahaha! Dat Groose post! (Now we have to give him a high want out of Groose respect)

Professor Layton:
Chance: 9%
I used to not even consider him. But I think I should. But not as much as most characters.
Want: 77%
Sure! I'd be totally with this.
And I have specific reasons of attachment that I don't want to say.
...did that sound creepy? It's not a creepy reason, trust me.

Well, if he got in Smash, that would certainly stir up enough hype for me to finally get one of his games.

Ryu:
Chance: 0%
I almost never give 0s, (I've only given it to Lupus and Sandbag I think) but I'm going to roll my dice on this one and say there's no chance.
I don't expect to be proven wrong, but if I am, damn.
Want: Really not sure on this one. I guess I'm pretty neutral... but slightly less. So 35%

Mewtwo: 82%
What did he get last time? It will be that - maybe like 2% (because Sceptile)

Edit: Well he didn't get 84%... he got 74%! But I feel like the thought of 5 Pokemon only has decreased a bit...
I'm going to say... basically no change by going with 74%
Halacanradnacnahanda: 15%
Random numbers are fun.

x1 BAYONETTA (such underrated)
x1 SAVVY STYLIST (such how are you not rated)
x1 GROOOOSE (explodes in! is loose!)
x1 KRYSTAL (last of the top 20)

x1 DAITORYO (so weird that it makes sense)
and I will rate GIYGAS next time (I prefer other fetuses, but he's the one best suited for Smash)
Edit: I have a new nom! :o
X2 ANNA
And I think I'll be rating PINK GOLD PEACH tomorrow.

PS Groose... it looks like Layton's current want score is about 75% ;)
