Okay, the day's introduction is out of the way, so it's about time we have a little chat. Before I get to the elephant in the room, let me address something concerning the game's immediate future. For at least the next three days (and possibly up to a solid week, but definitely no more than that), I will be unable to update because I'm moving into college and starting my freshman year. I'll be able to visit here, but I won't have enough time to handle updates myself. @Brawler610 will be taking the reigns for a few days as I adjust, and I expect you to treat him with the highest respect. Please don't start too many arguments while he's sacrificing his time to run things, especially on Bandana Dee's day. Also, as Hades so gently warned you, this is not the leaks thread. You can talk about them in your ratings, but not even the slightest argument revolving around leaks will be tolerated.

Chance : 0% : To me, Shulk is a big name. The hero of the game he stars in, and someone who is kind of a fan favorite. I don't expect him as an A.T. even if he doesn't make it as playable.
Want : 0% Not a big fan of Shulk, though I've reached a part in Xenoblade where he's less whiny and annoying and stupid and actually relies on others. While I would not mind him as a playable character, I wouldn't want him to reach Isaac's status.

Chance : 15% : I'm keeping my hopes low, especially now that not many newcomers should be expected.
Want : 100% : I play him whenever I can. He would definitely surpass Kirby to me if he were playable.

Let me tell you a story about a certain someone named "Issac". Issac was the protagonist of a Nintendo exclusive JRPG called "Golden Sun", and everyone loved it. Because of Golden Sun's high positive reception from both fans and critics, Issac became a popular candidate for Super Smash Bros Brawl. However, when the game released, much to everyone's dismay, he was nothing more than a mere Assist Trophy.
Replace Issac, Golden Sun and Super Smash Bros Brawl with Shulk, Xenoblade Chronicles Super Smash Bros 4, and you have an unlikely, but unfortunate outcome for our titular character.

Normally I'm pretty neutral about Shulk, but if he does end up getting the AT axe, I won't enjoy it. He's one of the most popular characters on this forum, and a lot of people's most wanted character. Waluigi tears and Wonderful 101 tears were pretty good, but Shulk tears would taste incredibly salty to me.

Bandanna Dee
Chance: 50%
Bandanna Waddle Dee has since been established as a major Kirby character, thanks to his roles in Return to Dreamland, Triple Deluxe, and the upcoming Rainbow Curse, and he's definitely going to be pushed more by HAL in future installments. Greninja also proves that no character is too early as well, so sakurai might just pick up on the guy during his prime. However, something inside me doubts it, and it's partly due to his official name. Bandanna Waddle Dee is a real mouthful, and he is still technically called a Waddle Dee (just with a bandanna). Not to mention he's (arguably) nowhere near as iconic as the other Kirby characters. However, he definitely does have unique potential, and Kirby is popular enough for 4 characters, so who knows really. Anything can happen in Sakurai's world.

I will admit: BD doesn't have much of a chance but he still have things going for him such as being unique and a rising star in the Kirby series. Still it depends if Sakurai wants a fourth Kirby rep as he is next in line.

When I first saw a waddle Dee, I thought it was very cute and cuddly. When I found out that BD is playable in RTDL, I'm was very excited and would alway play him on the arena since I don't have a second Wii remote and he was so awesome, although I could never beat Galactia Knight. Point is I want to play as a cuddly badass beating up Bowser. It would be so great.

I think he has a good shot. He's been well established as a recurring character in the Kirby franchise, a series that is certainly big enough to have 4 representatives (5th largest Nintendo franchise, yes?), a franchise that was created by Sakurai, and he is the obvious choice for a 4th Kirby representative.

Shulk has relevance, move set, fan demand, promotional appeal, some Twitter mentions between Sakurai and Monolith, what remaining legitimacy Gematsu might have, and this new leak as well.

Chances of him being playable seem pretty high. If he's not playable, well, then I think he's in the Little Mac position - putting him in as an AT would make a lot of sense and he'd have a chance of being promoted later...

If he's not playable, then not including him as an AT would be an insult. But I'd rather he be playable.

Bandana Dee

Yeah, Meta Knight has been shown. But it's so late in the game that unless Bandana Dee is our next trailer, it makes no sense to reveal MK for that reason. And even then, why not just show MK in the same trailer?

BD still has the same problems I've thought before. He's not so unique as to be super appealing (he's fine, but he's no Robin or Rosalina), not that important, not from a particularly underrepresented series, not one of the most demanded characters, etc. Additionally, the new leak is... at least pretty convincing, and it doesn't really leave room for Bandana Dee. I don't believe it 100%, but it's over 50% at this point.
