Want - 100%: Yes. While there are some themes from the game I like more, I do like this theme, and would really want it to be in along with Shulk.

Chance - 30%: It is possible for this theme to be in, but I have my doubts. The big advantage this theme has is the overuse abundance of times the Gritzy Desert theme was used in Subspace, which shows that Mario RPG themes can make it. I do have a hard time visualizing this theme on any Mario stage revealed thus far however.
Want - 95%: Yeah, I'd be fine with it. I had hacked it on Final Destination for a while until I replaced it with Absolute Configuration. It's not my favorite final boss theme, but it isn't a bad one, and if the long overdue Bowser themed stage came with it, that would be wonderful.

If Shulk is in Smash, and I'm pretty sure that he is, this song will definitely go along with him. It's easily the most popular song from Xenoblade and one of the most iconic tracks in that game (you could argue that it is the most iconic). Because of this, I say that even if Shulk was an Assist Trophy, this song would make an appearance on some stage, much like how a Golden Sun song was on Norfair in Brawl.

I remember when I was downloading a ton of BRSTMs for Project M and You Will Know Our Names was the first song that I downloaded. Listening to this fantastic piece of music on Battlefield made it more exciting to fight on!

Sakurai doesn't acknowledge the Mario RPGs very much. We have a couple of Paper Mario trophies and stickers, stickers from the Mario & Luigi games, and one song in Brawl (probably two according to some data). It's hard to really place In The Final given what stages that we've seen. With how popular the track is, I say that there is a 50/50 chance of making it in.

This is by far one of my favorite final boss themes in Mario games. It makes you reflect on your journey and makes you think, "I've made it this far. I can't back down now! I have to defeat the final boss once and for all!" It was so fitting for the dark atmosphere of the battlefield in the final battle.
Honestly, I think that Adventure's End (the final boss theme from Dream Team) is a better track, but In The Final is still an incredible track in its own right. I would love to see this in Smash!

I agree that this song will almost certainly be in Smash if Shulk is in as well. Shulk seems pretty likely at this point, so this song is pretty likely as well.

That being said, I'm not that fond of the song. I mean, I like it, and I think it's a good song that would be a great fit for Smash, but it's just not my favorite. I suppose that's because I don't care for that sort of metal music. I find classical and orchestrated music to be far more enjoyable. So, I give this song an 80% want. I think the song should be in the game, and it's a good song, but I don't like it that much. I just hope we get something like "Engage the Enemy," "Unfinished Battle," or "Gaur Plains" as well.

Chance: 50% - Sorry guys, I'm only gauging Chance off of patterns the games themselves make, not any rumored leaks, no matter how accurate they are. Anyway, whether Xenoblade music would be in the game or not is more than likely tied to if Shulk gets in. Now, It's hard to look at how likely that actually is since Xenoblade coming after Brawl means there's no real pattern to go off of. That said, they usually have a good track record of at least referencing each newest games and such, like Pikmin in Brawl, or Wii Fit and Steel Diver and Dillon's Rolling Western in 3DU. That said, if Shulk DOES get in, this song is probably guaranteed unless there;s no Xenoblade stage.

I'm one of the poor saps who only got to see Xenoblade Chronicles in action once Chuggaaconroy started his LP. To be fair, it's because I've been broke ever since the game got released in the States. >_>

I do understand the significance of it, though, and from the first 20% or so the LP has covered so far, I get the appeal. I've been hoping Shulk would get in SSB4. Anyone who's seen me on other threads knows I think we have reasons to be skeptical about the Gematsu leak, specifically the nature of the Rhythm Heaven and Fire Emblem Awakening reps and the chance of there being newcomers not mentioned on the leak, but I really doubt Shulk would've been cut from the roster.

If Shulk is in, I'd be surprised if there wasn't a Xenoblade stage to go along with him. If there is a Xenoblade stage, then You Will Know Our Names--essentially a miniboss theme--is a shoo in. Even if there isn't a stage, I wouldn't be surprised if it gets in somehow. If it doesn't...well, I have no clue how they'd handle music DLC, if they made music DLC at all.

So I figure a 90% chance of Shulk being on the roster, and if he's in then YWNON has a 90% chance of being in at least the Wii U version.

I'm actually a pretty talented musician (Alto Sax, classically trained), and I'm really interested in video game music for how thematic it usually is. And I think this is...a pretty damn good theme. The only reason I didn't give it a higher % is personal preference: parts of the song feel like they're...too dense? Too strong-sounding? I dunno, it's hard to describe. *shrug*

After four games, the Mario & Luigi series is getting famous for having amazing final boss themes. Bowser's Inside Story ends with one hell of a fight that asks the player to call on everything they've learned so far as the Bros. and as the Koopa King. The mood set by In the Final fits the battle perfectly: ominous and a little somber sounding, but still moving forward and still urging the player to fight back.

Unfortunately...the Mario RPGs haven't had much music in Smash so far. All we got was one arrangement of one theme from one game...and it wasn't even a well known or particularly well liked theme. For In the Final to make it, the Mario RPGs would have to see more musical representation and have more well known themes picked and In the Final would have to beat out themes from more recent games like the more recent but thematically different Adventure's End.

Could it happen? Maybe. But I don't like the odds.

If it did get in, though? Hell yeah, I'd be for it. I wonder if any tourney organizers have let people make music requests in the Grand Finals before? I'd use one here (if the stage was legal), one for Id (Purpose) if Arena Ferox got picked...
