Pretty self-explanatory, really. Just rate the last movie you watched and maybe give it a short review if you want. I'll start.

South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut (1999)
Rating: 10/10

This will always be my favorite animated comedy film of all time. The musical numbers are absolutely hilarious, especially "It's Easy, Mmmkay" and "Blame Canada" (being a Canadian myself makes it even funnier). The idea of the devil and Saddam Hussein being in a homosexual relationship in hell is just the funniest thing ever. It's crude, it's vulgar, it's immature, but it's absolutely brilliant all at the same time. It has a great message about censorship in media and I think everyone should see it. Of course, parental discretion is STRONGLY advised. This movie once held the world record for most profanity in a feature film, so you know it's bad. Matt Stone and Trey Parker are true geniuses, and this is perhaps their opus.

Kingsman: The Secret Service
Rating: 9/10

Kingsman is such a great British spy action film, directed by Matthew Vaughn (director of X-Men: First Class). The comedy is so great in this too. It's also surprisingly very violent. The action is absolutely amazing and fluid though. The plot twists in this film were great and Samuel L. Jackson was a great villain. Colin Firth's character was very likeable and Taron's 'Eggsy' ended up being so a badass... gentleman. :p Overall I enjoyed watching Kingsman immensely and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who loves spy action films.

Does the novel justice, and I did enjoy it. Just thought it was unessesary when the original movie was already great. Oh well, good for introducing newcomers I suppose.

Ant-Man
Rating: 8/10

Ant-Man was a pretty good film. Of course it's a superhero film from Marvel Studios but it was also more of a heist film. The most interesting part of this version of Ant-Man is that Paul Rudd's Scott Lang actually starts off as a crook. Michael Douglas was such a great Hank Pym though. Evangeline Lily was also a nice addition too. The special effects in the film were really well done, especially with the various ants (as if the title wasn't obvious enough, there's a lot of ants). There were also some really great Marvel cameos and name-drops; one scene even had a familiar character appear in a fight scene which was awesome. The villain was pretty standard though but he wasn't too bad; his Yellow Jacket suit was pretty cool looking. I'm definitely looking forward to Ant-Man in future Marvel films. The mid-credits has a very nice tease and the post credits scene hypes you up for the next film (Captain America: Civil War). : )

Independence Day (1996)
Rating: 9/10

Even after nearly 20 years since it came out, watching that movie never gets old and I still enjoy it. The story was pretty great with the alien invasion and **** two days before the Fourth of July. It did had a couple of down sides here and there but otherwise still a great movie.

Ant Man - 8/10

Overall, I really liked Michael Douglas's portrayal on being Hank Pym as well as Paul Rudd as Scott Lang.

My fave scene of all was when Ant Man fought against Falcon, one of the Avengers.

Pixels.

On the actual quality spectrum, I'd say 2 out of 5. Objectively speaking, it wasn't very good. The extra point is for the spectacular special effects.

In terms of how much fun I had with it, however, it's more like 4 out of 5. It's a dumb movie, buI did have a lot of fun watching. I enjoyed the stupidity of it.

Dragon Ball Z:Ressurection F
9/10
It was a perfect mix of the original Dragon Ball's humor and Dragon Ball Z's iconic fast paced action scenes. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and it makes you laugh it was a great blend of every thing about the dragon ball manga and anime. Overall it is a great movie and is one of the best Dragon Ball movies out there.

Ringing Bell.

This movie's really great despite being a 47 minute one, but as they say, short but sweet. It may start off as a cutesy movie, but it gets pretty grim as soon as the main character's mother dies from the antagonist. It's one of my favorite non-Disney movies and I always watch it depending on if I have it in my mind or not.

Mad Max: Fury Road
Rating: 9/10

Max Max: Fury Road was such an exhilarating and exciting watch. The whole film is basically an escort-type mission and pretty much the entire film takes place on the desert road; simple to follow but fantastic to witness. The action and violence in this is insane and every main character is in danger at all times. Charlize Theron was simply amazing as Furiosa, she was such a badass female lead. Tom Hardy did a great job as Max and Nicholas Hoult was also surprisingly good as Nux. Overall, I had a blast with this film and it's one of the best action films I've seen. Granted, I haven't seen any of the other Mad Max films but I probably should now.

In the past 2 days I've seen 3 movies because Redbox gave me a bunch of free rentals -

Mad Max Fury Road - 10/10

Pretty close to perfection. It's one of the few movies that succeeds at being entirely the 2nd act of a traditional film, wall to wall action and conflict. I absolutely love all the Mad Max films that came before this sequel, but I have to say this is probably the best. Though Mad Max 2 hold a special place in my heart, inspired one of my favorite VG series of all time (Fallout 1-3) and it's just such an important film.

Terminator Genisys - 7.5/10

Honestly it's probably a 6/10, but it delivered on a brain-dead level what I was craving. The acting is crappy (Arnold is actually the best of the cast here), the casting is bad (Really? The mother of dragons? a terrible choice, as an actress she seems out of place here), the story is sub-par. Everything else about a blockbuster is spot on though, the production, the CGI, the music, the lighting, the set pieces, the structure, etc.

Ex Machina - 9.5/10

Wow what a film! Some plot holes and weird plot devices but so creative and refreshing. It keeps you guessing the whole way through and makes you question just how far away such a reality might be (which is scary)

The Iron Giant: Signature Edition

9.5/10

I've seen The Iron Giant many times in my life, but seeing it on the big screen with a packed crowd really was something else. The new scenes added in enriched the story and didn't disrupt the flow of the plot at all, which is really impressive considering they were entirely recreated from scrapped storyboards made during the film's production. Aside from that, this movie is timeless, and personally what I consider to one of the best Western animated movies ever made. The music is beautiful, the animation is thoroughly impressive and can easily be compared to Disney-quality, it knows how to balance drama and humor perfectly, all the characters are perfectly developed, and it has one of the most beautifully heartwrenching endings of any movie I've seen. Hopefully you'll be able to catch this in theaters this Sunday, or just wait for the Blu-ray. It's a great film that everybody deserves to see at least once.

The last real movie I've watched from beginning to end is The Majestic, around 10 years ago.

I'd give it an 8/10. Although, I'm aware that a lot of people don't really like it.

I personally, thoroughly enjoyed it.

My movie rating is accompanied with a review, so I'm spoiling this text:

Movie: Batman Begins
Year Released: 2005
Rating: 9/10

Batman Begins is the first movie in the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy. This movie follows the life of Bruce Wayne, and how he becomes the Batman. During the movie, we see the tragic demise of his parents, his moral dilemma when confronting the murderer of his parents, his origin story of becoming the Batman, and also his interactions with the main villain of the movie: Ra's Al Ghul.

I haven't seen the second two movies (but I will be watching them soon). I will say that this movie made me far more interested in watching the sequels. Batman's origin story is very well done, in the way that there are flashbacks to his childhood while he's in exile with the League of Shadows. I found that to be nicely done. Aside from the main hero and villain, the side characters also have pretty interesting personalities for being side characters and all. Not once did I think of any character with significant dialogue as a "cardboard cut-out" character. Also, mad props to Liam Neeson for giving the best performance IMO.

However, the one reason why I don't give this movie a 10/10 is because Scarecrow was given the shaft as a villain. He didn't have much impact on the story plot when compared to Ghul, and I think of it as a missed opportunity. Oh well, it's still an amazing film, and I'm glad I watched it.

The Rescuers Down Under.

I haven't seem this film in years, and I have no idea why I never owned it on VHS back in the day, but it's nice finally seeing this again for so long. This movie's still just as good as how I remembered it back then. The first Rescuers movie was good, too, but the sequel's even better since there's more things going on compared to the first film. Some scenes felt pretty pointless to me, but it doesn't stop me from seeing this again. Definitely one of the better sequels out there.

Jurassic World: 8/10

This movie was exactly what I wanted. Like the first Jurassic Park, but with its own twist on the formula. Very enjoyable, and I would recommend it even to those who have never seen any of the other three Jurassic Park movies. If you have seen the first one, you'll spot a few references to it throughout this movie, some subtle and some not.

The Peanuts Movie.

This movie was a real treat to me as a longtime Peanuts fan. It may be filled with nostalgia pandering along with having modern songs popping up at times, but it's still a pretty enjoyable movie. Blue Sky's films may not be as great as anything from Disney or Pixar, but I think this one's their best so far. Definitely watching this one a lot when it's out on DVD next year.

The Peanuts Movie:

Gonna give it a similar score to H Heroine of Winds . My main complaint is Snoopy's side plot. I can see they were trying to draw parallel's with Charlie Brown's storyline (though it did sort of fail at certain times), but it really did feel fillerish. Also, I know it's a kid movie, but the fact I could literally predict what was going to happen at each point in the story just made it a little less appealing to me. With that being said, the execution was good.

A Boy Named Charlie Brown.

Despite being the first movie for the Peanuts franchise, it's still pretty good. Only thing I've found a problem with in this movie is how they made it one to begin with. What I mean is there's like 6 or 7 (I don't remember) BLAM moments that are only there to make the movie longer. At least later Peanuts movies didn't do this since there weren't a whole lot of trippy filler scenes. Even with this said, I still think it's a good movie. I'm not gonna criticize it too badly since it is the first time the Peanuts were in theaters.

I've seen this one a few time before but it still amazes me. Hisaishi and Miyazaki never fail to impress. Clean animation, lovely soundtrack, and fantastic characters. I wouldn't call this my favorite Ghibli film but it's definitely on of the best ones out there.

The Good Dinosaur.

Just got back from seeing this movie and I liked it pretty good. It certainly isn't one of Pixar's best movies due to its simple story, but compared to the movies they released during their dork age, it's an improvement. Good movie, but certainly not an extremely great one either.

Inglourious Basterds: 8.5/10

In preparation for the release of the Hateful Eight I've been watching all of the Tarantino movies on Netflix. After this one all that's left to watch is Django Unchained.

Inglourious Basterds is a great film. Very dialogue heavy, and much of it in a different language, but it's never boring. The dialogue and interactions between the characters were the best part of the whole thing. My favorite performance goes to Brad Pitt as Lieutenant Aldo Raine. In my opinion, this one is a must watch.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015):
If I had to describe The Force Awakens in one sentence, it would be "Familiar, but fresh." Force Awakens has several similar story elements to Episode IV, but it also has new characters and locations to help it stand on its own. After the disappointing prequel trilogy, Force Awakens is a breath of fresh air and what I could call a Star Wars film. Honestly, the comparisons to A New Hope don't bother me too much since I'd rather have a movie that's overly familiar than something that didn't feel like a Star Wars film (which my biggest issue with the prequel trilogy). The new characters are fantastic, and the action was nothing short of awesome. The Force Awakens lived up to the hype, and I'm eagerly awaiting Episode VIII.

The Woman In Black

A movie that is a few years old now. It stars Daniel Radcliffe as a lawyer investigating an old house for documentation prior to it being sold. Unfortunately said house is haunted, which can result in the death of children. Overall, the movie's plot and how events "came to be" are pretty basic. I'm hard to scare, but even this movie was lacking in that. It tries to suck you in with the atmosphere, but it was mostly a snooze fest for me. I'm glad this movie was an hour and half long. With that being said, despite it failing to suck me in, the atmosphere was still good at times. Acting was fine. Just wish the story went a bit deeper.

The Tale of Princess Kaguya

Isao Takahata oversaw this project by Ghibli and I ended up being very impressed. I enjoyed the storybook-like animation and Hisaishi pulled through with another lovely soundtrack. Kaguya herself looks very lovely and the story makes a good transition from her youth into her new life at the palace. I did find the first half of the movie to be a bit slow but it picks up very quickly. All in all, it's a great addition to Ghibli's films and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for more insight on Japanese culture

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Rate it 4/5.

It's probably the first film I saw in an IMAX theater, and boy, was it a good one. Without going into spoilers, the film certainly felt familiar, yet I felt it had enough to stand on its own as well. I've seen some complain that there isn't enough explanation, but I felt it did well for the most part...though they never explained how 3PO got that red arm.

The characters were also pretty cool, and I especially liked BB-8...though admittedly, I'm a bit of a sucker for cute things. But they were pretty cool.

Overall, it was a great film, and definitely worth the ten year wait. I can't wait for Episode VIII! :)

Deadpool
Rating: 9/10

Deadpool is by far the most faithful comic-to-movie adaptation I've seen so far. This film is literally made for the Deadpool fans and has everything that people loved about Deadpool from the comics. They didn't hold back with the violence/gore and the coarse language either. I'm so glad this got an R rating because I honestly can't imagine Deadpool with all the gore and cussing. The insane amount of easter eggs and pop culture references were great but the 4th wall breaking was spot on. Deadpool knows he's in a film and he talks to the audience throughout the entirety of the film; it really makes you feel engaged and part of the film's happenings.

The X-Men character appearances, cameos and references were also a pleasant addition, especially since Deadpool is part of the X-Men universe. It's just so great to see Deadpool interact with a big name X-Men member like Colossus. Speaking of Colossus, this version is much more faithful to the comics than the previous portrayal of him in the past X-Men films.
Deadpool is one of, if not, the funniest superhero film I've seen ever alongside Guardians of the Galaxy. The action was choreographed so well. However, the jokes didn't always hit the mark for me but there were a lot more jokes that got me laughing so hard.

Overall, I loved the Deadpool film and highly recommend if you love crude humour, action and superheroes.

Finally got around to seeing Star Wars VII, put it off for so long because I was worried about it.

I have a lot to say about it, but for the sake of spoilers I will keep it brief -

If I hadn't seen the original Trilogy I'd probably rate it a 9.5/10....

But since I have seen the original trilogy like 30 times....there was just WAYYYYYY to much lifted from the originals. Except this time the characters aren't nearly as deep and the story is told like a soap opera through rapid exposition and miraculous coincidences. So I'd have to give it a 7.5/10.....what an utterly bizarre awkward ending as well, terribly shot and planned out. It did not leave me excited for episode VIII....That is really shocking considering how crazy I am about Star Wars. Hopefully this is a fleeting trend and VIII and IX will blow me away.

currently watching The Night Before atm

I didn't have very high hopes going into this movie. I expected a decent quality horror movie, and that's what I got. It feels like it goes on forever at some points, but it brings some unique twists to the old horror cliches that we're all used to.
