I liked the comebacks in the 3rd match. I havent seen the other matches yet, but you should find a way to avoid falco's godly chaingrab. I'm betting that if you could avoid those CG's you would have done much, MUCH better against him.

You're grenade game needs some work. Time your grenades effectively instead of shield dropping them as fast as you can (I liked your grenade to Dthrow work though)

Do whatever you can to avoid the CG and those games could be as good as yours. Nades, Nikita, Mortars whatever.

Good job on keeping that up-tilt fresh.

How long have you been playing as snake?

Thanks. The last one and the second one are good matches. The first one I get *****, plus i kill myself LOL. And normally, my grenade game is a lot better. I was extremely nervous here, cause it was my first OoS tourney and I honestly thought I was going to get ***** by their top player, plus it was being recorded. But it went a lot better than I thought it would :) /johns

I've mained snake for awhile, but I stopped playing snake for a couple of months. I picked him back up on thursday LOL, so I thought I did pretty good.

Thanks for the constructive criticism :)

Third match was luck. You lost because you died earlier, but whatever. I guess you're decent, just stop playing like an idiot with the grenades and spot dodges.

It wasn't really luck. He was DI-ing sideways from his side b, so he would die off the side every time. And even if I had lost, it still would have been a good match because SK92 is the best falco on the west coast and I came back from a 131% deficit. And I've never even left Utah's smash scene before last week, so I'd say I did pretty good.

Was the use of the word idiot really necessary? Give him a break, he obviously would've been extremely nervous at a time like that.

**** @ the ending. Good ****.

You should try B reversing grenades as you fall off your cypher. It really throws off your opponet and you should be able to land safe easily.

Thanks. I b-sticked grenades a couple of times in these, but I mess those up a lot and end up doing a nikita, so I just stuck with b-sticking the c4. I just started b-sticking last week, so I guess that's an improvement for me, LOL.

You know what else would've been useful/cool?

If you think that your opponent will throw a grenade at you, simply pull out a 2nd grenade and shield drop it when the opponent picks up the first grenade. The 1st grenade will drop out of his hands and he will most likely run from it, giving you some time to plant a C4 or something.

Dunno how it would work in a tournament setting against skilled players, but you should give it a spin.

How do you mortar slide when you have it set to b-stick? And on that note you might want to mortar slide more to get around easier. You can also b-reversal without the b-stick.

Otherwise I thought your snake was good, I mean SK92 is a hard opponent, and holy **** at that ending, I had something like that happen to me once in the 3rd match of a tourney set, except we both got star KO'd and I died first ; ;. Aside from that, I think you could pummel a bit when you grab, and maybe work a bit on your grenade game. And oh yeah, on Brinstar when you kill him you should probably be either riddling the stage with mines or unstaling some of your moves on the platform/orb things.

your dodging skill needs work. you were easy to read, everytime he got close to you in the air you airdodged, whether he attacked or not. He baited these and air ***** you.

Learn to air/spot dodge when attacked, not randomly out of fear.

Also you need moar explosives. Dont be afraid to go offstage, snakes bair owns his recovery, you can even gimp him from time to time.

offstage snake *****.

I dunno NaPPy, I usually try to avoid getting my snake in the air against falco due to the dreaded Falco Bair. Nair and bair seem to be snake's best basic options in the air, but its really situational (ie like how you mentioned Bair against falco's recovery)

I would love to play against people on wifi to hone my own snake, but being in Bahrain makes it a tad bit hard, so I MIGHT not know what Im saying sometimes (Like effective uses for snake's ariels.)

DEHF beat him last time. So I think he's the best Falco.

I never left the Dutch smash scene and placed 2nd in a 100 man tournament.

I said it was luck because you actually died earlier, the mechanics saved you. I also never said you did badly, I just said what I thought.

If only Utah could get a 100 man tourney... We get about 13-15 people to our monthly tournaments. Our smash scene is one of the smallest I've heard of. That's why me never leaving Utah was relevant to that.

Thanks everyone for the constructive criticism. I'm definitely going to work on some things for next time.

TwentyTwo- Pseudo b-sticking can be done without changing your controls. And I've found that good players can see the mortar slide coming from a mile away, so I tend to not do it very much.

-NaPPy- Yeah, I was dodging waaay too much. I realized that after watching. But watching my other vids from that weekend my dodging wasn't nearly as bad. I think it had to do with being nervous cause I was fighting an actual pro smasher and I expected him to do something amazing  But I will remember to bair his recovery next time.

Thanks everyone. If there's more I can improve on just let me know :)

lol, that's what I said, I said that in my other post, you can b-reversal without b-sticking, but I was confused when you said b-sticking. I didn't necessarily mean mortar slide as an approach, but as means to get around a bit faster.

dude, no offense, but what where you thinking in almost all three of these match ups?

you never went prone. you should of blown yourself up to around 40% dmg, you let his dair almost combo you.

I like you ken, but you should of lost this mm.

Sorry I've never fought a good falco before... The only one I fight refuses to chain grab, so I've never had to worry about that before. But I'll be all over that next time.

I won this because of my DI and SK92 went into panic mode and just went for all kill moves, which was easy to see coming.

Its difficult to think when your opponet has the weight of "The best" sitting on their shoulders.

Ken dats was up
Put them Falcos in they place!

You kno the ending of the last one was epic yada yada yah.
But on the 2nd match that utilt to nade explosion was sex.

It reminded me why I love Snake SOOO much.

But critque ehh work on your nade game.
Drop a nade catch it with an aerial its cooked! throw it BOOM
:D
Pivoit grab more alot more Snakes piviot grab is too broken.
After you get your opponet away or kill them sometimes set up your stage control set your mine some where.
Dont forget get SHDair OoS.

But overall good Snake keep it up man nice job.

It's not to be mean or cruel, i'm saying ken is alot better then that, i've never played him but the input of his knowledge shows more then what he was doing.

I think he got extremeeeely neverous, the the point where he was relieing on his f-tilt far to much. couple things he did right though was jab cancel falco's illusion. and u-tilt at the right points in time. falco succumbs to snakes "upthrow+c4" combo very easily. stick a mine to him, f- tilt him in the air, and blow em upppp

I don't think he actually set the c-stick to special but you can still pseudo b-stick by tapping the opposite direction on the control stick right after doing your desired special. Sometimes I mess up grenade b-sticking with the nikita too bro. Good matches, Ken. I didn't learn anything new, but it was a good match to watch especially since I do snake vs. falco matches here with something who plays a very good falco.

Wow Ken, you just won't die. lol All three of your stocks on the third match went above 150%. You must have some pretty good DI. Good stuff. :)
I recommend laying down immediately after you pull a nade. Sometimes Falco's lasers hit your nades and it explodes on you. You have some pretty good tech grabs and spacing skills. Overall you have a pretty good Snake.
