Ok, so the other topic didn't go so well..... so i'm making a new topic, and i'd like a KIND review. tell me How i could improve my team without changing pokemon in a polite Manner. If you feel the need i should breed over again and try and get better versions, then go ahead, any sense of rudeness, i will report. i don't care who you are.
PS: I never Keep track of EVs, but i could give you an idea on how they look like ok?
PSS: i also have a Lapras i could switch out with a pokemon.

Ok My First Pokemon:
Umbreon lvl 38@(anyone has a suggestion for a hold item?) :p

1. Psychic
2. Dark Pulse
3. Toxic
4. Mean Look*/Hidden Power *means i will teach it that move
Stats:
HP: 127
Attack: 59
Sp. Atk:61
Sp. Def: 115
Def. 90
Speed: 62

Psychic is for Fighting types, Dark Pulse For STAB, Toxic because Umbreon needs a boost since its Spc. Attack sux. Mean look to keep toxic sapping opponents HP.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Second Pokemon:
Charizard lvl 100@ Charti Berry
Nature: Careful
ability: Blaze
evs: i might have to redo it. I never knew about EVs when raising Charizard, but his stats might show what i've been doing
Moves:
1. Flamethrower
2. Dragon Pulse
3. Focus Blast (Anyone have a better suggestion?)
4. Wing Attack
Stats:

HP: 305
Def. 194
Sp Atk: 231
Atk: 213
Sp. Def: 207
Spd: 241

Flamethrower for a reliable STAB, Dragon Pulse because it is a spc attack move that can damage mostly everyone for 1* damage, Focus blast is to take care of rock types, wing attack for STAB?+plus takes care of fighting types who potentialy know rock type moves. Charti Berry to weaken rock type moves
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3rd Pokemon:
Golem lvl 65@ Lax Incense
Nature: Brave
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: he was traded, so i don't have a record of his evs, might have an idea of records seeing stats, but for sure i'm breeding this guy.

4. Rock Polish
Stats:
HP: 183
Attack: 170
Defense: 196
Sp. Atk: 99
Sp. Def: 99

Earthquake for fighting types, Explosion... don't know why... Stone Edge for STAB. Rock Polish for Faster and more evasion. Lax Incense to hopefully evade more.

4th Pokemon
Torterra lvl 57@Rose Incense (switch it to the Charti equivilent for protecting it against a flying type)

Attck: 127
Def: 154
Sp Atk: 123

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5th Pokemon:
Lucario lvl 81@Fist Plate(changing it to life orb, Good idea?)
Nature: Lax
Ability: Steadfast

Wow, there is a lot going on here. I'm just going to address a few things. Someone else can comment on whatever I leave out.

I never Keep track of EVs,
Statements like this indicate to raters that you are not interested in competitive battling. EVs are extremely vital and we cannot correctly help you or your team unless you provide us with them. Please try to keep track.

Ok My First Pokemon:
Umbreon lvl 38@(anyone has a suggestion for a hold item?) :p

I strongly suggest leftovers. Umbreon is a defensive pokemon and thus leftovers allow it to stay alive longer.

Nature: serious
I saw in your other topic that you got very defensive about neutral natures. However, this pokemon would benefit so much more from either a Calm or Bold nature. These natures boost one of your defensive stats and lower your attack stat. Your moveset contains no moves that use the attack stat, so I can see no reason how you can argue against this.

ability: synchronize

EVs: at first i trained it in spc. Attack, but now for the rest of the time, i'm training it in spc Def.
That's great that you have some idea of the EVs, but us raters still need specific numbers so that we can better help you.

Moves:
1. Psychic
2. Dark Pulse
3. Toxic

Here is Umbreon's base stats:
HP: 95
Attack: 65
Defense: 110
SpAtk: 60
SpDef: 130
Speed: 65

As you can see, Umbreon has better denfensive stats than offensive ones. As such, you should focus on it's strengths, not its weaknesses. Trying to make a pokemon with base 60 sp atk an offensive pokemon is a waste. Don't believe me? Look at the stats you just posted. You said you ev trained it in Sp Atk, and yet its stat is still only 61. However, it's (assumingly) untouched def stat is 90. This is pretty much perfect evidence that your focusing on the wrong stats. I suggest you use 252 HP evs, and then focus on either of it's other defensive stats.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Second Pokemon:
Charizard lvl 100@ Charti Berry
Nature: Careful
ability: Blaze
evs: i might have to redo it. I never knew about EVs when raising Charizard, but his stats might show what i've been doing Judging from his stats, it seems his EVs are all over the place. Its all messed up.
Moves:
1. Flamethrower
2. Dragon Pulse
3. Focus Blast (Anyone have a better suggestion?)
4. Wing Attack
Stats:

HP: 305
Def. 194
Sp Atk: 231
Atk: 213
Sp. Def: 207
Spd: 241

Flamethrower for a reliable STAB, Dragon Pulse because it is a spc attack move that can damage mostly everyone for 1* damage, Focus blast is to take care of rock types, wing attack for STAB?+plus takes care of fighting types who potentialy know rock type moves. Charti Berry to weaken rock type moves

The fact that you gave it Charti Berry lets me know that you are atleast attempting to have a serious battle attitude. However, it doesn't stop stealth rock from taking half your health. Additionally, things like a Tyranitar stone edge will still OHKO you. "But I'll kill it with Focus Blast". No, you won't, because a max speed Tyranitar is faster than this Charizard. Charizard is not a bulky pokemon so he would benefit better from an item like choice scarf or choice specs which helps him sweep using his attacking stats. ALso, you should think about leading with it so that you can kill their stealth rock laying lead, and save your Charizard later headaches.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3rd Pokemon:
Golem lvl 65@ Lax Incense
Nature: Brave
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: he was traded, so i don't have a record of his evs, might have an idea of records seeing stats, but for sure i'm breeding this guy.
Moves:
1. Earthquake
2. Explosion
3. Stone Edge
4. Rock Polish
Stats:
HP: 183
Attack: 170
Defense: 196
Sp. Atk: 99
Sp. Def: 99
Spd: 66

Earthquake for fighting types, Explosion... don't know why... Stone Edge for STAB. Rock Polish for Faster and more evasion. Lax Incense to hopefully evade more.

I don't feel like commenting on this thing right now...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thats all i have time for now, i'll give more pokemon later!

It would be great if you posted a whole team. We can't do much when you only provide us with three pokemon. This room is for rating a TEAM, not a half team. Please fill in the final three slots of your team, or otherwise we can't critique what you are posting to the best of our abilities.

Yes, I did originally say Umbreon. If Hippo wouldn't of actually read your team, I would of kept it. But when he said "He already has an Umbreon"..., lol. I had to change my thing.

10% for a nature IS alot..If you have the wrong nature you will get outspeeded and die in one hit. For example...

One Infernape is Naive..One is modest.

The infernape that is Naive will kill the other Infernape in one hit...That's a loss of a Pokemon due to the wrong nature.

Espeon- sp attack, speed 252, sp def 51
Torterra-sp attakc- 252 def- 252 HP- 51
Lucario Sp. Attack 252, Attack 252, Speed 51

My biggest suggestion of all is if you want to make a competitively viable team, start from scratch. Once you've gotten the advice you feel you need, put it all together into the team you want and breed for those Pokemon. Breed for natures. Yes, neutral natures don't hurt you like a nature taking away from an important stat, but they are hurting you in the sense that you're not getting a positive out of it. You're technically losing a boost in a stat for a nature that assists you in no way, shape or form, and you probably won't use all stats on any of the Pokemon on your team, so you can sacrifice a stat.

I think you need to diversify your EVs a little bit; all of them should not be 252:252:51, because that just has no variety. You need to diversify to make the best use of EVs.
Get a Pokerus to train EVs, if you can't get one yourself, just find someone to trade with. I have a couple of Pokeruses myself, one of which I could give to you, if you need one.

As for evolving Espeon before EV Training, I would suggest it. The earlier you have Espeon, the more moves of Espeon you'll be able to learn.

Also, I have two links that may help you out;

Team Builder - With this, you input your team in the six slots, and the chart will show you what your team is weak/strong against. If 3 or more members of your team are weak to one type, it'll be a bright red so it's easy to see. This way, you can predict easily if your team could get beaten by one single Pokemon.

serebii.net's Pokemon of the Week - This is a weekly feature (a new one every Sunday) that serebii.net does. They take a Pokemon and review it; they talk about the Pokemon itself (description-wise), give a couple of possible movesets with EVs, hold items, abilities, and nature included as strategies for the Pokemon, as well as other moves that can be useful and ways to counter the Pokemon. It doesn't have every Pokemon, and you shouldn't shun the advice you get here, but you can look at this for a guideline fo some things you can do. Also, you can look at the movesets to get an idea of the sort of thing that would be good for a Pokemon with a similarly focused moveset. (e.g. Defense based)

Hope this helps you.

thats not very nice... maybe you should edit before i reported you. like i said, i want nice, not mean, i simply forgot how many ev's you can get.
No offense, but you can't report someone for having a slightly mean-sounding post...

It has to be outright flaming, harrassment, or they have to be swearing like crazy.

lol ok. After Doing EXTENSIVE research, i've come up with this-

Lapras Evs: 252 HP, 130 Sp. Def, 120 Sp Attack, 6 Defense
Espeon Evs: 170 Sp Attack, 170 Speed, 80 Sp. Defense, 90 HP
Umbreon: 170 HP, DEF-170, Sp. Def- 170
Torterra evs: 140 HP, 130 Attack, 120 Def, 120 Sp Attack
Charizard: 170- Attack, 170 Sp Attack, 170 Speed.
Lucario: Same as Charizard.

I looked, planned, and i also have backup distributing plans to evs, if i need to revise. otherwise, i think i'm getting somewhere, i know i'm getting somewhere.:):lick:
