I'm not melee expert but here are some things I noticed:

* You need to work on spacing and approaching. A lot of the time the falcon was getting in too close - it shouldn't be happening that often. Marth is obviously most powerful when in tipper range for all his moves so it's very important to space yourself well.

* Use more spaced fairs and jabs, less dancing blades.

* Wavedash out of shield sometimes.

Like I said I'm not an expert or anything so take what I say with a grain of salt.

First tip...if you want a good critique don't show a vid of Poke Floats. lol ^^;

Anyway, as for your first match you need to work on your SHFFL game. A lot of your aerials weren't fast fall/ canceled properly, especially your dairs. Get into the habit of C-sticking your aerials instead of using forward on the analog + the A button. Using the C stick for aerials allows you to use the analog to hold back as you short hop. When doing Marth's aerials you don't want to keep moving forward. The goal is to hit with the tip of Marth's blade. Also, use less dash attacks. Remember to hit the tip with those too.

Next was your edge guarding. Get into the habit of wavedashing onto the edge when edge guarding. From there you can do so much more creative things, bair, ledgehop dair, ect.

Good job sweet spotting your Up B though.

If you have any other questions just ask or write on my wall.

Good luck. XD

Yes. Um, actually, I don't have much advice for you. Your Marth is not very stylish, but it gets the job done better than a flashy, mediocre Marth. I would have to say continue what you're doing. One measly thing you could improve is fair spacing. Work on SH double fair and SH delayed fair standing, while advancing, and while retreating. It will be tough for your opponent to get to you if you do this.

Oh, and DD more. It makes grabbing much easier.

ggs Keep it up, man

hey saw ur vids....ummm i thought id rate to...anyways....yuah there r somethings u wunna work on...for one thing...dont spam ur B's to much..marth is a aerial character learn how to fair properly, juggle,etc..and grab to...u did ur grabs perfectly against the fox..chain grabbing..i mean although some ppl think its gay its part of the game and u did that rite against fox. also ur spacing...plenty of times u rushed in there when u shouldve spaced urself properly away from hits and grabs...and dont dash attack most played would shield grab u out of it...learn how to fair and L-cancel..another thing is ur movement...u wavedash good but if not used properly...u cant get far with it, also try looking up the thread about marth's match up against other characters on here. plenty of times u shouldve tooken out the fox a lot cleaner without gaining percentage. also..knoe ur tipper..i saw a couple of times ur opponents shouldve been tipped but u did something else like a B-combo. tippers r ur friends Lol so i mean..just space urself rite and knoe when to Fsmash...oh i dont knoe if u've noticed..but dont Fsmash to lot..theres a lag time where ur Fsmash would get u grabbed or basically hit into a combo or so(learn to Ftilt)..and try not to Dair to much for one thing...theres that HUGE lag time when u hit the floor and not L-cancel..and another thing is if ur still recovering from it..and ur opponent is still up..u couple possibly get *****..but i mean play more and think more strategically in the game...also...try not to be to fancy for now...just knoe ur do's and dont's and wuts necessary and all

ENJOY THE GAME

Marth needs to do more aerials. He has a good ground game (as you demonstrated), but yours dash attacks and sideB's too often. SH dbl Fair is a good defensive tactic and SHFFL'd Fair is often a good way to get a grab OR if you retreat it, you can out-range attacking opponents. And, with correct DI, Marth's chain-throw doesn't work on Fox at 0%. It will work after a F-throw, however, and most Foxes will just shield afterwards so you can grab again.

Also, learn to ledge-hop. Marth has a good offensive and defensive ledge-hop. Ledgehop Fair and Nair are good if people like to stay at close range. If they shield it, retreat back to the ledge; you shouldn't have to upB
