So I was talking to nick today and I asked how he was getting to race's and he said he doesn't know if he's going.

Ack, all these melee challenges! I never wanted melee money matches in the first place. How about a brawl money match?

Tofu you still didn't clarify which game you were talking about. How about Megaman 9 speed run for 5 bucks? Heh...

How do you speed run in megaman 9? Is it the whole game (all robot masters and wily) or is it by level?

That's how most smashers interpret it, but that's childish and stupid (I admit I do that though, but I like money a lot so losing a dollar is a big deal to me and makes me try pretty hard unless I'm already up a dollar that day).

MMs need to actually be serious, so it means something. Right now, MMs don't mean very much at all. People **** talk all the time and back down from $3 MMs, I mean WHAT THE **** is that ****? You can't risk $3 ****ing dollars that you're better than someone after all your bragging?

I just decided, from now on, if I really think I'm better I won't MM for less than $5.

Not even, you'd have to beat him at least twice for Mike to think you're good.

Yeah, you're not good unless you consistently get top 5 in tourneys. Even some ranked people aren't good =P

Melee vets scarcely hand out the "you're good" confirmation. And rightly so. Plus it always goes to people's heads and we hate that.

Also, we're more biased towards how smart the player is. Mindgames son! They matter more than anything else, because that's the best indicator. We have the experience to be able to determine things like that, come back in a year and I guarantee you'll agree with me.

I don't believe in mindgames -- mindgames are like shorthand for things the bad players can't really see, so they're just like "mindgames!" Nah, I could point out exactly what he did and why -- I don't think that's a mindgame.

My definition of "good" is pro. If you're pro, that means you can get into brackets at national tournies and compete with any other pro who's not one of the top 15 or 20 players in the game. The only pros in SoCal are lucky and mango (and zhu if you consider him socal), so they're my definition of good. But people call people much worse than that "good," so if that's good then I'm very good and they're (Mango and etc.) great.

And Kira, the $5 MM idea sounds great, but it won't work because no one wants to mm for that high except maybe tofu and mike.

Been taking a lot of notes from Vidjo lol.
