Race's Brawl Garage Tournament IV: The Dream Bout--Hosted by Race (Julian) and Co.--

Date: Saturday, August 23rd

Categories: Singles, Teams and Crew Battles

Where: 17312 grayland ave.
Cerritos, Ca 90703

Time: 11:30am-11pm

Teams : Start: 11:30pm - 2:30pm (Sign-ups start 10:30am for teams)

Singles: 2:30pm-8:00pm (Sign-ups start as soon as the team tourney finishes around2:30pm)

Crew Battles: When Singles ends.

Casuals: 10am-Whenever (Bring your Melee or 3s, or whatever)

Gear: 6 tv's and 6 Wii's (Need 2 wii's) or if they become available more tv's and wii's

Fee: $5 Singles, $10 per Team, Crews: $6 per crew

Venue Fee: $2 per event and $3 per crew (I'm doing all the planning plus all the leg work the day of and night before, plus i'm buying 3 TVs just for tourney use. . . lol, plz understand a $2 venue guys. . . )

Prize:
Singles:
-1st 60% pot
-2nd 25% pot
-3rd 10% pot
-4th 5% pot

Teams:
-1st 60% pot
-2nd 25% pot
-3rd 10% pot
-4th 5% pot

Tournament Details:
Singles:
-3 Stock 8:00 Time Limit with NO Items.
-Random will be choosen first (They are the neutrals described).
-Games are best out of 3 matches with Finals being best out of 5
-Standard double elimination

Teams:
-3 stock 7:00 with NO Items.
-Random will be choosen first (They are the neutrals described).
-Games best out of 3 with finals being best out of 5
-Double Elimination

Crew Battles:
-5 man crews w/ 3 stock each
-Only Final Destination, Battlefield and Smashville selectable
-Single elimination
-Winner takes all

Race's Tourney Menu (To be updated)

Drinks:
-Soda-$1 per can (Coke, Sprite, Dr. Pepper, Brisk Iced Tea)
-Water -$1per bottle


Food:
-Lumpia Shanghai 5pcs. (Deep fried Seasoned pork EggRolls)-$1.50
-BBQ on a skewer $1.50 Each skewer
-White rice .75 cents a scoop


-Race's Too good Combo:
1 BBQ skewer, 5pcs of Eggrolls a scoop of rice and a drink-$4.50

-Gear wise we have 5 TV's ready with 4 or 5 wii's. So if someone could bring in 2 extra wii's that would be awesome (Another problem I don't have to worry about) So if you can bring some let me know.

-I'm buying 3 TV's just so I know we won't be low on TVs. I want this to be the best experiance for you guys as possible and run everything as quickly as I can. so i'll be willing to spend a little for TVs.

-Please bring your controllers (Use wavebirds at your own risk)

-If we can get extra TV's and wii we can hold casuals on that tv. Some friendlies would be cool.

-All seeded players will be accounted for

-If you're gonna be late call me and i'll add you to the slots, and see if I can hold you off till you arrive.

-As with last time i'll have food and drinks for everyone to enjoy. I'll be selling food there. (BBQ, EggRolls, more soda ect.)

-You can bring food as long as you please try to clean up after your selfs

-Please keep in mind, it will be in a house,, respect that. Try not to mess up or take anything there. Please don't come drunk or high. If someone gets too rowdy or out of control you'll be kicked out, i'm serious on this.

-Results will be uploaded on via tio immediately after the tourney.

i'm buying 3 tvs for tourneys now. Lol i'm trying to not to have the problem of having too few TVs anymore. Thanks for the TV though Edrees, I owe you a combo

also ur "only neutral can be selected" kinda contradict ur counter pick list haha

edit: I really hate how race tourney pot is 70-20-10. If this was melee then I would understand because people have make a presence of dominant. In brawl, the finals match r usually very close. Yet, the 2nd place get 20% and the first get 70%. Sometimes, I wish it was top 4 when there is a lot of people (i say 65 or more). I just feel that the brawl competition is a lot closer and intense, but the first place get a big out put. I don't think any other tourney even do 70-20-10. I mean, I love the tourney and all, but I just wish it was a more evenly distribution pot.

and no, I'm not saying this because I want to make more money because I can't get first. I just want the pot to kinda be more standard like other tourneys, and also give a better "pad in the back" to second place.

Sure if you guys want you guys can sped the night again. I really DO need the help,lol

Also about pot distribution if you guys want a small distribution to give more to 2nd and 3rd i'm down. and to add 4th winning part of the pot just voice the opinion. I'll change it according to what the majority wants, after all you guys are the ones who win. and I run the tourney for you guys.

Truth... I mean, i would understand if were going to two venues. But were going to one, so why would we pay the venue feel twice? All other tourneys that ive been to have only charged the venue fee once, which makes much more sense.

read the description at the first post about the venue fee, decide for yourself if one dollar extra is really worth making a big deal out of. I work really hard and spend at lot of money, time and effort on this, I'm doing this for you guys and believe me when I say i'm not being greedy or selfish when I up the venue fee one dollor. I want this to be the best experiance to you guys as I can which means making things move along faster, so i 'm buying 3 TVs just to make sure we will never be short on TVs again. During my tourney last week I let people inside my house to use that TV as a station, I was not allowed to even let anyone inside the house except for the bathroom. I did this because I had you guys in mind and didnt want things to run slower then they aready were, and it's safe to say I my parents were'nt very happy when they herd about this. I even went as far as to ask people from the community I knew on aim their opinion before I even posted the tourney just to make sure it seemed alright. I'm sorry guys but the venue fee won't change please understand where i'm coming from.

julian dont charge a dollar extra,,,,,, JUlian venue charge is getting to high basically its 7$ just for venue when you add it all up......uhmmm thats kinda too much man so put the venue back to a dollar plz

also dont go buy any tvs............. we will bring tvs for sure isnt that better if we just bring them this time round table can has alot of tvs lol


and you had 65 people last time

65x7= 455 Dollars

thats more than enough for tvs LOL

It's basicly $4 per person who enters Singles and teams, plus $3 per crew,so it's not bad at all. I already explained myself before, please understand this.

honestly i'm buying Tube TVs so they have no lags,so they should be more then $90. or even less then that. I'm being honest here, I want to show everyone what I have on the table. Anymore questions you guys have on my integtrity i'll be free to answer. I put in a large amount of effort, time and money into my tourneys and believe me I wont earn such an exorbent amount such as $400+

and thats saying I have 65 entrants.

w/e Maybe i'll cancel the tourney, maybe that will be better.I wont hold Tourneys anymore if I get reactions like this, it's not worth it. I made a lot of friends over smash and I dont want to lose them over money.
