Question about Brawl+ Backroom

From what I heard, there is a private Brawl+ backroom discussion room in this forum. I can totally understand that only certain people can post in there (specially selected people), but why does it need to be un-viewable to the public? I kind of wish I could at least see the discussion going in there. I'm merely asking so I could get a reason why it's un-viewable to the public.

If it was viewable, everybody would start pestering the members, commenting on stuff they said in the room, or they would make parallel threads out here. Neither of those concepts sound good to me.

Here's my question: how many members are there in the SBR+? (Or SB+R, or whatever)

Look at it this way. You're basically asking to view a room you're not supposed to. Somebody's gonna make a topic about it, and screw them over. Why ban some important discussion because people like you absolutely need to see what's going on?

It's just not right, don't make threads like these, please.

That's not the point. The point is while this is a community project they don't need everyone to comment about their suggestions, on this board or not. Banning "freedom of speech" is a lot harder than making the board unviewable.

All backrooms are hidden basically, I don't see why B+'s should be any different.

Mods are capable of monitoring people that spam the boards or do Melee v Brawl threads, but not this? The main reason I made a thread on this backroom and not just any backroom because the Brawl+ backroom discusses the balancing of the characters in the game (while others just discuss the metagame). I just thought it would be interesting to see what the discussion was on this, because it does affect what will become of Brawl+.

You can guarantee that there won't be any spam threads if it's kept secret. If anyone can see it, they might as well just have a "Brawl+ Frontroom" right here. It's pointless to allow just anyone to see it. Spam threads will come if anyone has questions. It's just not happening.

Ok, fair enough. I guess it would be more work for the mods and such to monitor more spam. Now, how do I lock this thread?
