It's the dream lol. I actually meant I hoped it would be a bunch of randoms that didn't know what they're doing. If nobody but one guy went to it he'd automatically go to Nationals XD
I'd like to think I'm a pro.Expecting to see some Tampa regular Smashers in this qualifier then, I suppose. This is going to be my first tournament and first time playing against other people, so hopefully I can get some quality feedback and constructive criticism. I'm pretty new to Smash but I don't expect to lose in the first round, unless I'm underestimating the number of pros that will be present...
The official Nintendo rules say the tournament starts at 11:00 a.m., but I have took the liberty of calling the Gamestop already. The rep from their told me they would start sign ups at 9:00 a.m., and to try and get there a little earlier for a better chance at having a spot.Does anyone know what actual time of the day the tourney begins? I'd like to show up early so I can actually guarantee my participation.
Really? Thanks for sharing, I called them late last week and the particularly unhelpful person I spoke to said "uh, I don't really have any information on the tournament, when you come to pick up your preorder on Oct. 3rd ask about it then"....even though I didn't preorder from them -________-The official Nintendo rules say the tournament starts at 11:00 a.m., but I have took the liberty of calling the Gamestop already. I know what you mean. I called them the day the tournament was announced. The guy then said to call back in a few days as he wasn't entirely sure due to them just receiving the rules. I'm just gonna get there nice and early to not take any chances lol.Really? I'll probably just show up in normal clothes. If you see someone standing in line you could introduce yourself as your smash tag. I usually do whenever I go to these types of things. You could also find out their tags if you happen to play them in a match before the tournament. So what, are we all gonna wear signs with our smashboards usernames? Lol
Psshhh, just quit! Jobs are overrated anyway. That could work, both ideas. I don't know if I can go, though. As of now I'm scheduled to work Saturday but it all depends if I can find someone to cover my shift. Hopefully I'll know more tomorrow.
Wouldn't the Orlando one be closer? If you do happen to make it to this though I look forward to seeing you!MYRAN......I WANT TO GO TO THIS.
AHHHHHH!
Yeah I know what you mean. And I work all day today, so no practice time until tonight. I'm hoping I can master Greninja relatively quickly. The 16 hours between getting my copy and going to the tourney is going to be extreme crunch time.
Agreed! It was fun. I'm currently working to unlock more characters.'least they gave out free tshirts...
