The purpose of this thread is to organize Social & Competitive Smash Meets in the Townsville & North Queensland area.

Contact me on 0448 133 134 for the address!

Social smash meets will be held monthly at my place in Cranbrook (PM me for details).

Bringing Your Own Controller is the best way to make sure you get to play as much Smash as possible, if you are unable to BYOC, PM me.

We currently have access to 2 TV's & 2 Wii's (including copies of Brawl & Melee), if you're interested in helping with the supply of gear please Post in this thread or PM me.

Meets are free to attend and will be for as long as possible, the only time an entry fee will be imposed is if we are unable to secure a location which doesn't charge for use of thier facilities. If you are interested in hosting a Smash Meet, or know of somewhere suitable please Post in this thread or PM me.

Rad. It turns out that there's some anime club at the uni, so I'm thinking about going to that and hopefully raise some awareness. I don't watch anime though, so I should probably get some sort of interest in it before joining the club, haha.

Good to see this is coming together. Here's hoping we can keep it up!

Haha, I'm not from out of state btw. Gladstone is pretty **** far away though, so I guess it's pretty much the same thing.

Hehe, I've always known about Falcon's awesomeness in Melee; my memory just needed a bit of refreshing. Oh man the d-air and the knee... <3

Oh by the way, here's that video I was telling you about. I fail at describing things, so chances are you've already seen it. It doesn't hurt to watch it again though; it never gets old.

To get involved, simply turn up to the social meets that happen at Kaydash's place almost every week on Friday afternoon/evening. It doesn't always have to be on Friday, it's just what we've been doing so far. For more details, send Kaydash a private message. Hopefully you can make it and we can play some Smash!

If there's a meet happening this week, I won't be able to make it. I'll be going back to Gladstone for Easter, so yeah if there's anything happening, don't worry about picking me up.

No problem. There's a good variety of players when it comes to experience with Smash, so you shouldn't have to worry about having to keep up with everyone. You'll be fine.

I'd like to go, but it's a few weeks before my exams. I'm awesome at procrastinating, so I'm probably going to need that weekend to catch up/do assignments.

You never know though; if it turns out that I'm being overly cautious and I have that weekend free, I might just be able to go. It'd be a good opportunity to see some friends that have moved down there for uni.
