I could still see them releasing an official translation (or... maybe just an official release) of Panel de Pon eventually to circumvent the legal mess that's gotten Tetris Attack wrapped up. Not that it's likely.

I think Takamaru was brought over since he appeared (not really) in Nintendo Land and was known by most gamers since then. Plus his game was actually requested. Like quite a bit.

Maybe our voice is not loud enough or not being heard by Nintendo? Lip has yet to be shown as a Trophy or Assist Trophy in Smash 4; however, that also means Lip may not have a big chance of appearing in the game at all.

I believe Lip will be included in the game in some fashion, I am betting on a Mii Sword Fighter costume (not really, but eh) to appear in the game.

Hopefully she gets the Mr. Game and Watch and R.O.B treatment or Marth treatment, character nobody really knows about until they are put into Smash.

It would be the Marth treatment if anything since you know Japanese exclusive character very few people know about. G&W and ROB were retro hardware characters.

To be fair. I do think its more likely to get a translation of the original Panel de Pon to the west than Tetris Attack. Tetris Attack has a huge naming problem..

The CEO of The Tetris Company has even gone on record as saying that he regrets licensing the name out to Nintendo for that game, meaning that even if Nintendo wanted to re-license the "Tetris" trademark for a potential VC rerelease, they wouldn't be able to. A re-localization of Panel de Pon seems like the best option in this case, really.

Another question: Since we know now that DLC can add in trophies for non-playable characters re: Ken, would there be a chance of another Panel de Pon character (or characters) getting a trophy of their own, assuming Lip makes it in?

Smashified just did Shantae and now Omni is in her thread, probably the best time to ask for Lip directly.

For no apperant reason *whisling* I approve to a Flare AT! Out of the entire fairy cast Flare is my absolute favorite! I mean that character design! That blazing hair she basicly embodies fire together with her "hotheaded" attitude and that GO(!!!) *melts*.

When Lip hit Smash and a AT from her universe is considered it should be definitly Flare (ablaze cherry petal rain from the skies!!)

-Concept idea- Trophy picked up by a fighter and Flare appears (in a neutral stance) She takes the pose which she does in 1Player modes or the 2Player chain animation and yells GO and channel her spell. The summoner have now to hit an enemy to build up a chain at a fixed amount of damage/combo dealt. Every time her finger lights up the result is amplified till she yells again GO then a fire vortex acsend (like these which a combo/chain creates and fly above the opponent playfield in a PdP-VS battle to form garbage blocks) to fly above the nearest enemy of the summoner while Flare was summonded, to create the image of the impending garbage block which crashes from the upper blastline as the image dissapeard (speed of a down angled Bullet Bill). Has meteor effect ,semi outrunable ,evading off-stage not recommended, size based of sighted finger sparkles from Flare (by comboing/damaging the opponent). If the garbage block landed on-stage it clear itself with a integrated ,pre-arranged combo/chain which inflict minor damage if the clearing animation crosses hitboxes with an enemy.

Ehm... sorry for the long post but I had to write it down before it slip off my mind again^^ btw PdP Team Nr.1 Lip&Flare followed up by Flare&Sharbet.

Everything is my personal oppinon I don't want to offend anyone and I hope that my concept idea is understandable even if it might require some imagination^^

I don't want any of the fairies to get snubbed for a trophy. Lip is best fairy, obviously, but everyone else is just a half-step behind her to me. Especially Windy!

Regarding the E3 stream: I wasn't the only one who was secretly hoping for one of those mushrooms to turn Mario into 8-bit Lip, was I? (I mean, not that it had even a sliver of half a third of a chance of happening.)

Truth be told, every time there's a Nintendo Direct and there's still no sign of a new Panel de Pon game in the pipeline (and I end up leaving with the knowledge that I have to wait another two months to get my hopes up way too high and become sorely disappointed), I get a little upset.. I guess PDP isn't the kind of game you'd announce at E3 anyway, but it still stings.

I'm a little more irritated about no Mother 3 and America getting Yoshi's Woolly World four months after Europe does for no clear reason, honestly.

We do need to kick things into high gear if we want our Lippy to get anywhere, though - but that's been the status quo for a while now!

I meant more like pictures, but I do like your panel designs. ^^ Some of them seem a bit too similar to each other, though. Similar-ish block designs would work for Tetris, but in Panel de Pon, making a quick and easy distinction between different panel designs is an absolute must.

I'm not sure... F Yeah Panel de Pon is more about celebrating the characters and the universe of PDP more than the panels (since they're the ones who need our help more!). I could see about squeezing them all into a compilation post, though.

I wonder if they'll ever patch Woolly World to add support for amiibo released after it. The irony of potentially having a Lip Yoshi is just too perfect.

A Lip amiibo would be perfect, but Lip's skirt would have to be covered up like what happened to the finalized version of the Peach amiibo. If MK8 gets more Mii Racing Suits, a Lip racing suit would need flowers and panels.

She probably won't be announced at a E3 anyway. Not enough people know her to give her the star factor that other characters revealed at E3 had ie. Megaman, Pac Man, Ryu, Villager, Miis.
