Are you validating your search strings to watch out for SQL injection attacks? Just making sure. I get all users when searching for

' OR 1=1

Which sorta tells me you might not be, but I could just be misinterpreting your output. Just a heads up!

also, when you fix the hyphen in user name "problem", would you be able to change my username so it has a hyphen in it? I signed up with no hyphen, but if I could have one, I'd like to... sorry if I'm being demanding, I'm just trying to help with the site... if it's too much of a hassle to change my username, then you don't have to go through the trouble.

Changing usernames isn't a problem, I did it.

Uh.. I wouln't call myself a good visual designer.. I'm just trying to make it at least ok-looking. :x
As for the SQL-Injections.. haven't tested it deeply yet.

Great looking site, you definately have a strong talent in design, and I signed up too =)

On another note... and this is just my personal opinion... it would be great if you added some type of chat server, whether it be a voice chat server ( kinda like ventrilo/teamspeak/etc...scept i doubt you will do that because it would probably be expensive to pay for the server itself and its upkeep...not to mention the tedious task of moderating it lol) or even a simple text chat room of sorts. Something other than a forum to say the least...we have that here .

It would definately be a good way to keep all the people searching for games , when brawl comes out, connected, and of course the trash talking/comments/etc would always be fun.

I'll end this ramble with this simple statement: good job on the site man and keep it up!

Well.. an IRC Chat would be enought I guess..
But dunno, I never felt like needing a chat. Forums are enough for my taste.
And I think there already is an SSBB IRC chat at #ssbb @ irc.rizon.no.

most of the people that joining your site (probably) use Smash boards anyways, so I think it would be a tad pointless to make a Chat/Forum...

Not ALL of the people on your site will be from Smashboards (although a majority will), so you might as well just add a PM system at the least. You don't need your own forum devoted to this site, but at least a private messaging function is necessary.

Visual: Nice, clean layout. Very Wii-like. I like the flag and character icons and the little touches (roll over shadow). Even if there isn't that much to look at, it looks very professional.

I clicked on the "Character" link and I then I could see them again. *Shrugs* I guess it might need some fine-tuning or so if other people get the issue too.

Very weird.. it never happend to me before so, if it happens again, can you describe it more accurate?
Then I can test it myself and try to fix it.

This is great, but people are right, you need a messaging system in there. Maybe even just comments to people's profiles, but make sure we're notified of it when we're on the site (like to "Unread PM's" on SWF now)

Well, now it's more like the latest member get's on the first page. Descending order of user IDs.
I dunno which one is better tho~ I just thought, that always seeing the same when you click on "List Player" is kind of boring.

People are going to look for people around them. USA is just too broad. PMs might be nice, but honestly, I doubt if I made a profile there I'd check it....

people should post their AIM/MSNM/et al. handles more often (on all sites)
