Was there one in melee? From Mewtwo of course.
you know I can't remember, and I'm too lazy to put in melee to check >_>
I just dont like it when a move always spikes, its use becomes more limited and almost no attacks are like that

i live in the 2D world well me and MrG@W That is
err
also, dsmash and dair need their knockback to be severely reduced
uair needs a slight knockback reduction as well
atm these moves kill way too easily
noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
im sorry but nooooooo i really disagree with that one there just fine i think
maybe a little editing yes but mewtwo with dair u have to time down air anywas with the whole flip and uair is just nice, and down smash was always powerful anyways

it's really easy to time, you have to time the majority of the spikes in the game anyway
dsmash is too fast and too strong, either slow it down or lessen the knockback slightly, giving mewtwo broken moves would ruin him, no one wants to fight an overpowered character

ganon and dk's dair are some of the few moves that always spike
ness' dair has a soft spot, dk's fair and sideB dont always spike, snake's fair has a softspot, please shut up
and mewtwo's spike is ludicrously easy to hit with, the timing is easy as hell

Hi there everyone!
Don't fight over things, its easy enough to modify values so that if something feels off we'll fix it.

We'll try everything [within reason].
So yeah.

Don't worry about it, don't be petty, and don't argue. I motion to have all argumentative posts be ignored.

errr
you really need arguments to point out flaws in suggestions and refine ideas before actually doing them
unless you want to make and test every little thing, which is no where near the most efficient way to do things

I'm done arguing with you, espescially if you're jjust going to continue to compare the knockback of mewtwo's moves to the knockback of other characters slower moves

and people keep bringing up melee, you arent balancing mewtwo for melee, you arent adding him to melee

I'm merely trying to provide advice for balancing because if mewtwo is overpowered he'll fall out of use as soon as the novelty of playing as him wears off
people will ***** about learning to fight a new character, a new "top tier" character will be even worse
if you "break" mewtwo it's game over, once people stop they wont pick him back up after you nerf him later, you'll lose followers
make him decent now, mid tier, even over-nerf him if necessary and you can slowly buff him for proper balancing

if you do that you risk people playing it, having fun wrecking with it right out of the box, then getting bored with it and just stopping rather than complaining
people dont complain all that often when they're winning with something or when they're bored with something, you'll get the most feedback if people want the character they love to receive slight buffs

ok...how do I add these new sounds?

"1- Open up the four rwsd files and the brsar in a hex editor (HxD preferebally.).
2- Copy the data in the rwsd files, and paste write them into the BRSAR in these offsets:
Mewtwo: 1796E80
sc_selcharacter: 1CCACE0
sc_selcharacter2: 4C3B640
STGTENGAN: 27E4BC0
Test it out and enjoy!"

This makes no sense to me...can someone make a quick guide or something?

lol
whoever said I held power?
I'm offering suggestions, I've been following this so long I'd hate to see it screwed up in the very last stages
the creation always seems more glorious in the eyes of the creator, I'm just trying to provide objective criticism

people always want there creation to be good, to be amazing, and it always ends up resulting in something overpowered
I fear this might be the case with mewtwo

dont you think it would be more interesting if he were balanced, or even slightly under powered?
people would have to learn to play mewtwo, to delve deep into his playstyle and develop a metagame, if this is done then there wont be a need to worry, as a solid following of players will have been built (rather than people simply going "OH MAH GOD MEWTWO" winning matches with something op, and then stopping because op characters get boring) and buffs can come as needed

You're a stalker
I'm just trying to give some advice
but I'm curious as to what purpose this post served? Did you honestly believe you're laziness would silence me?

I'll continue to make recommendations, all I ask is that they are listened to objectively
You understand this is an internet forum, you don't have to be so grammatically correct...iNF4C7 7ry 741king r3147iv3 1337!

Press ctrl G to go to the offsets, then when you go to the offset paste write what you copied, so for example, if I want Mewtwo's SFX, I would do this:
1- Open up all the files in HxD.
2- Copy all the data in the Mewtwo file.
3- Go to the BRSAR, and press Ctrl+G, make sure you choose "Begin", then type in the offset.
When you go to the offset, PASTE WRITE what you copied, which can be done by pressing Ctrl+B.
4- Save the file and don't forget to make backup.
Enjoy!

Balance issues will be sorted out in time. Now isnt the time to discuss them. Right now, making smooth animations that keep true to Mewtwo's style are whats important.
Ehh...having a functional character is important...
I can agree to both of you on this.

I'll continue to make recommendations, all I ask is that they are listened to objectively
Suggestions can be made, but we don't always have to follow them.

And tomorrow?
If it is Allah's willing, but I've limited my self to 2 hours a day, otherwise I'd be 24/7 on this PC.. Werkin awn MueToo.

Hey, just to make sure, the mewwto model included in the 5.7 posted in the Brawlvault is the one with the renamed neck bone, right?
I'm seriously confused now.

By the way, my Pirate speech has just started, expect what you don't expect.
And no I don't mean bad words or nothin :p

The shield size is one of the 2 thing I don't like with the new Physics (the other is the character size with him being to small).
The rest I love.
other than the shield size it is so **** awesome

but back to other stuff, you should up the ending lag on his utilt and dtilt, this would make them less spammable and more like melee

err, giving the dsmash a higher launch angle (like in melee) would also do a good job at balancing that without making it op

and perhaps up the range of his bair so he can space with it?
