Yeah, I actually really liked 2.5 sonic. He was probably my 2nd or 3rd most picked character but in 2.6 he's just not fun anymore. I'd be fine if they nerfed his other moves but removing spin WD just makes him feel so limited and less unique.
Edit: Oh, so you can still WD out of side spin. I rarely ever used that move before other than as a recovery and it's looking a lot more useful now. I just gotta figure out how to use it consistently without the small jump.
that feel when you hype up MK just to play your buffed main instead
I didn't experiment with him too much, but one obvious one is that his flamethrower shrinks WAY quickly.Haven't been able to play yet, because work, any things more specific on how bowser was nerfed?
So I was on the re-spawn platform, and the level 9 Falco started multi-shining, so I stood there to see how many he'd do, and I lost track of the exact count but it was close to 20 before messing up and doing an aerial shine. The CPU has a few godly moments in between it's incredible stupidity.
goodthat was intentionally left in, actually.
He has been saying that for a long long time.Captain Falcon says "Yeessss!" on his down taunt and it sounds really weird.
Like, he sounds like a 16 year old kid, kinda.
What a crappy nerf
It looks, uh, robotic or something. I'm not quite sure how to explain it.Has anyone else been thrown off by Link's new boomerang animation? I'm wondering if it is clunky or if I just haven't gotten used to it yet.
THIS, I like it more than smashville tbh. Such a cool stage now that it isn't terrible lol. And I use tap-jump to shdl.Oh, right, I forgot to mention something about Lylat Cruise. Now that Lylat got a huge fix, I would say it's even neutral-worthy. At the very least, it shouldn't still be on the second page of the SSS.
There is just too much to praise the team for. This mod has come so far since 1.0.I'm surprised no ones talked about the awesome new stock icons. They're much cleaner
Can I just take this moment to say "**** you, good sir"?Good, nobody likes Sonic.
Can I just take this moment to say "**** you, good sir"?
No big. There wasn't enough salt in here yet, so I thought I'd fuss a little before actually calming down and enjoying all the nice stuff you've all done. XDthanks for insulting us :>
Fixed.
Yeah, it seemed slightly weird to me. When I examined it more closely I found that the boomerang actually clips into Link's arm, but I didn't notice anything else that could explain that feeling.Has anyone else been thrown off by Link's new boomerang animation? What are you referring to?I noticed the Fox thing too it's cool. But srs someone like Fox being made easier in any way is like a slap in the face of anything decent in this world.
I'll probably do a video on ROB's changes like I did last time. But I'm pretty swamped with stuff right now so ... later. It's okay, once you forget that your character used to be good the game becomes worth it again. I think PMBR banks on that every time they nerftweak someone
JCeaser you should do a brief write up on the ROB changes so we know what's different, what's just our imagination, or what feels different but is actually a universal engine change.
...Really? huh, Imma go humor myself by testing this out real quick. Seeing is believing, after all. XDThere will probably be an update coming out soon that fixes this MK glitch, so they can use that opportunity to also throw in some quick animation fixes on Link's boomerang if they so choose, I suppose.
Thanks toaster. I think I'll name my next microwave after you. ¦Donly difference on battlefield is the sky
Fox SHDL was easier to do. Like much easier to do. Dunno why, my guess was from weird stage detection/jump differences. You need strict timing in Melee to SHDL and in 2.5 it was pretty free. Something changed and it's much closer to Melee in difficulty. I expect to see that along with general movement improvements in the change log. What are you referring to?
I'm probably late noticing this, but Mr. Game & Watch's 7 hammer heals him now.

His jumpstart/short hop isn't harder than 2.5 now is it?Fox SHDL was easier to do. Like much easier to do. Dunno why, my guess was from weird stage detection/jump differences. I don't like them, specifically for Red/P1. I use Component cables though, so maybe on worse quality composite it looks better than the old onesI'm surprised no ones talked about the awesome new stock icons. They're much cleaner
It shouldn't be, unless they were able to fix the 1 frame delay on movement? I doubt that is what's different, because feel wise it seems like Fox touches the ground quicker or his actual SH isn't as lofty to compensate. Bottom line: Fox touches the stage sooner which makes SHDL comparable to Melee. Which is good. Make that **** HARD, make him have to L cancel it for 0 lag or something JCAESAR SALAD PLZHis jumpstart/short hop isn't harder than 2.5 now is it?

Oh yes that would make sense, I was doing backward Short hops with Falco and wavelanding them super quick and easy and much cooler than before it seemed: so maybe all characters touch the ground sooner or something (Also Marth's dair seemed to be better since it landed faster then maybe too). So in 2.5 landing detection was over-compensated to not be at the exact point of Melee's where you land at the Knee but instead landed at the Thigh or something compared to Brawl where you land from your feet?It shouldn't be, unless they were able to fix the 1 frame delay on movement? It's more fun to jump to conclusions than experiment and discover cool stuff. Why do nerfs always get way more attention than buffs, of which there are many?
Only two characters took serious hits to their gameplan, and they definately needed it. (Well, maybe three actually)
Almost any other character you pick up now has new dirt to try out in their favor.
the difference is time required not difficulty, that's why complaints come before praise
that fact doesn't in anyway indicate that the complaints are never deserved, or even rarely deserved; first impressions can in fact be correct
