I realized that was the problem right after I posted that haha. That pretty much explains why Riivolution can do it.

Doesn't seem to be possible. You need Brawl to read the SD to load any mods, and it can only read 2GB SDs. The best that could happen would be that it could load a code from a 2GB SD to allow it to read larger SD cards. Not really a point in doing that.

Someone just asked that, and no. The Wii system menu couldn't use SDHC cards at Brawl's release so Brawl can't run the IOS from System Menu 4.0 that allows the Wii to read SDHC. You'd have to use cIOS in order to do this, so they couldn't make a code that'd do this. If nothing else think of it this way- the Wii reads codes from the SD card. If the Wii can't read SDHC while Brawl is loaded, no code you have on the card will matter.

Edit: Never mind.

On topic: Super pumped for this release. Been following over the months and I'm just amazed at how the P:M dev team manages to outdo itself.

Clearly the Brawl iso needs to be modified and we'll have to use USB loaders from then on.

It is still the 28th. We still have time. You guys have no patience. :/
Its already tomorrow where I live
:smirk:

Technically a 2GB SD card has less than 2GB of usable space. :troll:
Well technically, it does if you read it in binary terms. In decimal terms, yes, it has less, but in binary terms it has the right amount. That's also why the true file size of a document, in bytes, usually doesn't match up with the file size displayed in My Documents.

Whenever I use Riivolution, Zelda and Sheik's transformation takes like 5 seconds. What's up with that?

Isn't the console's ability irrelevant? Brawl is what can't read larger SD cards, so havign a more advanced console won't affect the Brawl Disc itself, correct?
I thought the problem was the Wii and its method of accessing old system software for old games. It can't utilize new updates with a game that ran on older ones. The WiiU should technically fix this problem.

The more stuff you have on your SD card, the slower loading is, including loading for Zelda to Sheik and visa-versa.
Is there a way to avoid that without having to cut content? I read something about USB Loading, but I don't know anything about that.

Bubbaking's P:M BRSTM Packet

Wow, 128 viewers!

Christmas technically lasts 12 days, right? Well then, Merry Christmas everybody!

http://www.mediafire.com/?owyp5q1an08k0

Well, it ain’t Christmas Eve/Day anymore, but I figured I might as well release my own brstm packet anyway. If you’re a fan of Sonic Advance, Sonic Battle, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, DBZ Budokai, Earth, Wind, & Fire, OverClocked Remix, Dubstep, Techno, and/or Rock songs, then you’ll probably find something you like in my selection, but there’s also some Metroid and SM64 remixes and some other stuff mixed in, so who knows? ;) All songs are with standard P:M backgrounds in mind. If you want to know which specific brstm is a certain song, PM me. I have an ordered list:

Would it be possible in the future to make brawl read sd cards with more than 2gb? I'm just asking this since you guys have already made a new game with the same game, I just wondered if it would be possible or not
It's impossible, this was covered on the previous page. If you want to use SD cards larger than 2 GB, use Riivolution.

The way Riivoluton replaces files is much slower than the File Patch Code. If you want SFX you best USB load.
Custom SFX is the main reason I used Riivolution. Will running Riivolution through USB Loader make it faster and Zelda/Sheik transformations the correct speed?

in case no one saw my post from a while back, RiiVolution still reads content off the SD card when running throuhg a USB FlashDrive

what ive been doing is keeping all PM files + custom sounds on Flash Drive and then putting music on SD Card. It loads everything pretty quickly, for me at least, and on the bonus side, you can still save replays onto the sd card when youre doing this :O
