If I wrote something it wouldn't be an anime. I couldn't fit the industry standard amount of fanservice and cheese to save my life. I do want to actively write more, actually, but I have no motivation or inspiration. I suppose the motivation would come with the inspiration though.

Magic.

In reality, probably something really weird. I mean, it looks like Roy's hitbox knocked Charizard over the edge while Charizard's FSmash didn't connect. During the animation, the sword literally came back and knocked him over. That's as far as I can explain.

Judging from the angle, I guess the sword must knock the enemy downwards when hit by that hitbox.

However since charizard's Fsmash pushes him forward he got pushed over the ledge just enough so that when the attack hit charizard fell downwards instead of just hitting the floor.

Not unlike fox doing his down grab at the ledge of the stage.

that or he accidentally sdi'd the attack forward off the side (since he was probably holding forward on the cstick to fsmash) and since no one expects to fall like that, if you don't have quick enough reflexes you die. zard didn't appear to be in special fall, so that's my guess.

Zard sdi'd in and teched, then hi momentum carried him off and he didnt do anything. You can see the tech in the slo mo
