If you want an advice as objective as possible : the rythm doesn't make you wanna fight. Or dance. That's probably a good Osu track tho. Try to play it on Osu if that's not already done, but don't put it on FD.

This was the advice of someone whose brstm set is composed of 95% underground touhou arranges.

Some piano from unchiku and one from secret messenger, but I don't buy stuff on eBay and the stuff I listen to doesn't make it to anime conventions. Heck, it barely makes it to the internet.

you know it just kind of hit me how accessible fighting games are to the average person

like normally I think about it like "well you'd want to play with a stick that costs a lot" but no someone just won the biggest world tournament with a ps1 controller that you could buy for like 10 bucks off ebay

Most people just like sticks because of nostalgia and how they grew up with it in the arcades back then. And obviously Japan's arcade scene is still kicking so it makes sense for them to learn stick.

Most fighters nowadays just use 4 main attack buttons to be more pad-friendly, so the differences between stick and pad is pretty negligible. For Street Fighter though, you certainly benefit from playing with an arcade stick imo, since you have all 6 buttons right in front you and learn stick-specific techniques like pianoing and plinking, but playing with pad is certainly doable, especially if your character doesn't need those techniques. The Sega Saturn Controller is still an amazing pad for fighters to this day, but the Playstation controller is pretty good in it's own right.

My favorite thing about sticks though are that they're easily customizable. Parts can be replaced to suit your needs, you can put your own art on it, you can design special cases for it, etc. You can just google "custom arcade stick" and see some of the sick designs some people make. Just kinda makes it more personal.

New character will be Bayonetta. Calling it now.

Aww *hugs* Don't cry. I know those feels, sad movies really are depressing, but just remember- it's just a movie. Think about the happy times in your life that you experienced yourself.
