I asked this before but should I buy Bravely Default? I'd have to DL it.
After putting a song from that game onto my build, and watching a vid er two of course, I so wanna play it. Do it for the both of is!!

So I'm gonna host a 4 day smashfest at my house next month. And in the description, I had, if you aren't on the list, don't come. Because their is a certain person who talks trash on me for no reason, hates etc. If they were to show up, should I just have the biggest dude help me, "forceable remove" them from my doorstep? I don't really like drama, so I don't wanna list their name.

Is it weird that, that guy is also the TO for decent amount of events I go to?

EDIT
Not gonna let that change my mind, I just feel like it's never gonna end.

Omg dude why? Are you not particularly a fan of super long jrpgs?

PS apparently since I'm a huge fan of streetpassing and the Mii Plaza games people are saying I absolutely have to buy Tomodachi life. True or false?

If I was to say anything about bravely default after clocking in 100+ hours on it.

It's extremely fun in terms of gameplay, and you have a lot of room for experimentation.
I'd rate it's gameplay a literal 10/10, although sometimes normal monsters are pretty OP. to the point where they might be harder than a boss fight lol. It's a good thing they literally let you turn off monster encounters to more personalize your experience. Or you can double the encounter rate. However you want to do it.

It's difficulty is good, very good. Maybe to the point of being too difficult for normal people, but that's why there is a difficulty setting.

Now it's story.
It's story was good, but also bad.

There's a specific plot point that just wasn't executed right that made it suffer. If not for that, it would of been 10/10 material for me. I'd give it an 8/10 in that regard.

I'd say it's story was 8/10 for the magazine type reviews if it was executed right, but for the way it was currently executed I'd say magazine people would give it a 7/10.

The humor in it is more of a hit or miss type thing depending on the individual. I enjoyed it a lot but I could see why some people might not like it. (Whatever, I get to enjoy it more than them )

The literal best thing that I loved about bravely default was when it screwed me over. amazingly.
Literally at the end of the game, I'm maxed out on all the classes and level 99.

I didn't want to go beat the game because I felt it was going to be too easy since I was overtrained and regretted it. The levels just happened to come while I was getting all the class skills.

Go to the second to last boss.
GOT DESTROYED.

I came in so underprepared thinking that I could just take it down like a champion that I got punished hard for it. That made me love that game 10x more.

Never go in that game overconfident. Be prepared for anything, it might surprise you.

This all sounds like JUST what I like in an RPG, down to the fact that I care the least about an rpg's storyline. Question one though: What the hell do you do if you turn off monster encounters? How do you level up and progress in the game? And two: I love it that apparently you can't overpower your dudes and embarrass the final boss because that's something that I always found repugnant about RPGs, but in this case how the hell do you beat the game then? Do you suppose the boss is designed to have stats always higher than yours? Cuz that's kind of a good idea.

@ Hinichii.ez.™ Hinichii.ez.™ Damn it dude I had written out some good advice on how I thought you should deal with this guy then I accidentally edited it into oblivion. Gahd that's frustrating.

Aerodrome
So what's 4th of July and why is it special.

Maybe I should randomly proclaim a day as "Aero's Good Day" or something similar.

Or maybe I'll start a cultist religion.

Aero's Day Adventists?

Sounds good to me.

For all Mod's lookin at this I'd like to give some serious constructive feedback: I've been on a number of other forums that make it impossible to "double post" where when you do have another thing you'd like to add the post simply "snaps" into the same cell as your last one, almost as an auto-edit. I have to say this always saved me loads of apprehension because I never had to worry about getting into trouble, looking stupid/selfish, or accidentally mis-editing the initial post (like I just did a moment ago). It's also really irritating when going out of your way to edit something then you're dinged with the "new post alert" and now you're better off aborting the operation and just writing a new live post to keep up and the trouble's for naught.

Just food for thought, I'm not trying to be b*tchy or come off as entitled. I sincerely am getting stressed out and unhappy from the way it is right now though, honestly.

Monster encounter rate is completely controlled by you. You can change it anytime in the options menu.

Whether you're in the middle of a dungeon or in town you can change it. It's up to you how you want to go about it. Don't leave it off too long, or the bosses will get too strong. Leave it on too long though and you might get overpowered, or even worse, get killed because you ended up fighting too many.

You can overpower a lot of the enemies in that game. there's a couple of choice ones that you can't though.

How hard each battle will be while assuming you aren't overtrained will be determined by your specific team composition versus the individual boss. I know for a fact that my brother had no trouble with the second to last boss because his team was prepared for the tools the boss had at it's disposal. However, he had much more trouble with the final boss as opposed to my team.

Even if you aren't impressed by the final boss (which I think you would be, it's a pretty epic fight.) the additional bosses you get from streetpass are insane. There are fights in there that make the final boss look like child's play.

The japanese versions of some of those fights are borderline impossible without some janky strategies.

I forgot to mention. In the final chapter of the game, there are a ton of boss fights that take some insane strategizing to beat.

I'd say that the majority of those are harder than the final boss, but that's because you have to find the right strategy. Most of them can be beaten without that strategy but it's EXTREMELY difficult.

...we get the japanese ones.

That's why I say they are borderline impossible.

One of them I know for a fact is extremely ridiculous.

I'll quote how some of the battle goes.

It's an older boss you fight in the game except buffed to all hell.

The normal version of this boss fight has 45,000 HP and is fought around the end of chapter 3 or so.

This japanese version that I have like 4 streetpasses of has 1 million HP and defenses so godly that my characters at level 99 do pretty much 1 damage or so. The only things that can hurt him are things that do set damage, or things with defense piercing effects.

On top of that, he uses a katana class. Any normal attacks to this special version WILL be counterattacked for 9999 damage. He also has special counters that can counter magic and will hit for 9999 damage.

This ridiculous version also gets summon magic that will do a **** TON OF DAMAGE.

To put it into perspective, the final boss has 650,000 HP and can be hit for thousands of damage at a time, while this boss is pretty much the epitome of godly.
