I'm going to get Smash4 regardless because I already have the Wii U, but my siblings all play Melee/Project M anyways so it's not a big loss if we don't really care for it. I hope to god at least the Pokeballs aren't terrible in Smash4.

In other news, I pissed both of my friends off today with Zard. They were complaining that they couldn't get out of his stun (Saying his moves' hitstun were longer than other characters), complaining about his nair (That it powers through everything like a truck and has amazing range), and complaining about him being a brainless character that requires no thought and that's why I was good with him. Their insults hurt, but it also felt good because it meant that my play was good enough to make them mad.

But this leads to a question: are there aspects of Zard you find unfair or cheesy, or are my friends just needing to learn the match-up better? (For reference, one is a PM Mario/Peach main has been playing for as long as me (Melee around 3 years competitively and much longer than that casually), and another is a newer (Just PM started this summer) player I'm training who is a Toon Link main. I argue Mario is one of Zard's hardest match-ups, but the Mario main is insistent that it's in Zard's favor.
Jab and NAir sometimes feel "cheesy" to me to be honest, but Charizard is only fast on the ground and has a huge hitbox, making him susceptible to projectile spam. He's definitely a very strange character to learn how to fight, but IMO it's a matter of match-up inexperience.

Nausicaa, I was one of the people in that discussion...
I thought so, but wasn't sure.
Is this the 2nd time in less than a week that I've done this in a convo-sequel with you and not noticed you were involved in both? haha

Yeah dude, I love old videos no matter how scrubby they are. Never forget where you come from bro. Also I talk with Sion all the time, used to do it daily, so glad you are in with the homie. :)

Watching vids of my old crew literally makes me wanna cry. All those good memories with people who really don't play the game anymore.
Sweet! Sion is awesome, haven't seen him since that NY trip though, or anyone outside my region really. Went all hiding in the mountain-tops. haha
I'm pretty sure more than 3 people laughed to tears during this match alone.
Looking back on it, the tears today would be very different tears. <3
Those old vids reminded me of the day I vowed to that whole region of players that I would play low-tiers exclusively when traveling outside my own region, since people wanted to see them played more/well and nobody else would. (even after all my travels to help others, rarely participating in the stuff myself lead to the only vids of me being Pika/Mario/Luigi LOL)
That alone is a little hilarious piece of where I came from. My style is still the same. It's amazing how personality shines through in game-play with Smash. Too good.

My region seriously has to get that Dazzle going... and travel to actually participate sometimes...

For sure. When people fight a Charizard and aren't familiar with a significant portion of his depth as a character, it's really easy to get cheesed-out. Jab feels cheesy, but appropriate somehow. N-air, I've never felt being cheesy though... Interesting choice of cheese-feels there.

I always feel comfortable from a distance, but only because he really needs room in front of him. Anyone who can stay on Charizard's face and not commit to anything, is basically going to eliminate much of the cheese simply from that positioning alone.

Yeah. I'm invisible.

EDIT: Speaking of past vids, I'm watching a recorded match of either my first tournament ever, or second tournament ever. This was before tech skill became a huge focus with me, so it's hard for me to watch due to all the missed l-cancels. But it is nostalgic.

I'm not the only one with P:M in my area. I just havnt played in the past few days because of military stuff, so I was dying to try to get some practice in.

I don't regret it because I wasn't playing against CPUs, but it was still Wifi.

It was like, killing 2 birds with one stone, but I also happened to be one of the birds.

On the bright side, I managed to be able to use "I hope that Senpai Noticed me..." taunts, which was glorious.

I'll finally be able to actually use my Windrunner ult in teamfights!
Yeah, that's so awesome!
So many great things coming.

Random-Rosh I actually like. The strategical dynamics around warding/monitoring an area over a course of time brings so much to the table in tactical team-play that's simply lacking in instant-re-spawn-prepping.
I'm stoked on that change!

Got to play PM with some real great guys (and they're alright players too :p) today. Shoutouts to Hylian, Metroid, Darkatma, and the rest that were there today, had a great time.

Can project m be played with an SDHC using using the homebrew option with CFG? Modded a wii for a friend but the only spare SD we have between us is a 4gig SDHC.

edit:@above, looks like just an oversight. Forgive me for being unable to find the source as I don't remember where it was mentioned (I think it might have been in the IRC?), but one of the devs said they have the resources to release everyone by demo 3.0. It's not a confirmation but I see no reason to speculate on who's going to be included when it might just be all the unreleased characters.

I remember Strong Bad mentioning the idea that they might release everyone in a different thread, but I assume he was just teasing us to troll us. :(

I was aware that StrongBad said that, but I remember another dev saying it was just a "stretch goal" and to not be disappointed if not everyone is in. Plus, in the past, I've seen things leaked like this where web developers put blank pages up early and just don't link to them so they can quickly fill them once they need to be up. In other words, it could be a sign that we're going to get concrete information on the 2 very soon.

Or it could just be an oversight. I do know for a fact those pages weren't there before though, because I've been going through and entering every character's URL for a while now because I've known about these kinds of leaks for a while. Again, I'm not saying get all hype and stuff because it might be a false alarm, but it could be a sign that info could be on its way shortly.

EDIT: Yup, just a false alarm. Ninja'd by GHNeko.

Anyone know about this? I've tried starting it up, but it brings me to brawl with the current project m character icons in their respective places, but no other apparent differences. The strap-warning-screen thing is also the usual one instead of P:Ms. Card's unlocked, it's been reformatted, does this just not work with SDHC?

SDHC does not work with the File Replacement Code because it's partially based off the stuff Brawl uses for stage builder features, which is also not compatible with SDHC.

However you could try Riivoluton (which is ridiculously slow) or building a custom Project M ISO which should work because every code is working except for FPC which is the one code you won't need if all the PM files are already in the ISO (though I'm not sure if anyone's actually tried this yet ): http://gbatemp.net/threads/ssbb-mod-iso-builder.351177/

Eli playing Ness is if like Ness was good and had good babies with other good Ness's and then made good and then was good.

I shouldn't post while drunk.
