Debt is an awful thing. Most people end up stuck paying for their student loans for 40-50 years. I'd highly recommend, if you absolutely cannot afford college, try working other jobs in your interests that don't require degrees (some game testing, cleaning jobs, restaurant jobs, pet sitting jobs, etc). Then, when you can get enough money and apply for enough scholarships for college, or if your parents will cover a lot of the costs, that's when you go to college. I just can't see needing a degree so bad that you become stuck in debt for half or more of the rest of your life. I just wish there was a way out of mortgage debt too :/

In other news, people manually changing their entire post to a certain color instead of using the custom text color option is kind of obnoxious.

I see people are beginning to join my army.

And with that, I'm back. Not gonna talk about how school went. I see I missed a solid Pokemon convo, but I'm sure there will be another one just as big not too long from now, so I'm good.

Yeah, that's the worst part. Most universities are for-profit so whether you're paying up or hopelessly in debt, they couldn't care less as long as they're netting the good profits.

I'm taking classes come this fall through my county's adult professional training program/thing (I'm sure there's a good name for it that I don't know) for computer networking. I'll come out of the class with all the needed certifications, and an internship with a local business of my choice. It's going to cost me like $500 out of pocket because a vast majority of $10,000 cost (for the class and then to take the needed certification tests) are covered through federal and state grants (so I don't have to pay it back) given specifically to adults doing what I'm doing. That will set me up with a good job, and I can start saving to go back to college.
Things would be so much easier if our school system was remotely affordable :\
