I've been practicing my OOS stuff today, just to get the timings down for whenever I get to play again, but I still have trouble trying to wavedash out of shield. The big problem comes from holding L shield when I jump and it not registering as a separate input when I hit R to dodge for the wavedash. I'm not sure how important being able to wavedash out of shield will be for my characters, but I want to be capable of reliably pulling it off regardless.

Anyone got any tips on how to adjust to doing this?

L and R don't register as separate inputs in P:M. Either release the full press L before you press R to wavedash, or hold L far enough down to get the shield without clicking the button, then full press R to get a wavedash- the click of the shoulder buttons is separate from holding the springy portion down all the way.

I just do it with one button, hold down all the way minus the click, then click to air dodge.

WD OoS is important for every character that needs to shield and remain grounded for a punish by using a WD. I guess maybe jiggs and a few others don't need it much, but every character benefits from it to some extent, and for most it's a necessity. Who are you characters btw?

Is it possible to change the announcer's voice with a hackless wii... well I'm using a wii u. If so, can someone tell me the steps? I once saw a file pack for a female announcer, but I don't know where to put the files

bowser's wd OoS is pretty much useless, as another example. jump delay + the other delay once you hit the ground makes it so you might as well just jump -> nair -> fall away

no matter where, a good fox player always will win

you guys need to stop that virus
the nerfs need to go on until that monster die ò.ó

Oh no! M2K one of the top 5 melee players in the world, arguably the best smash player ever between the 4 games won a local. Better nerf the character he used or we are all doomed.

My biggest problem is that they don't count as separate presses, I'm hoping that'll get fixed later, but I'm really thankful for your suggestions. The light press and full press feels awkward, but I'm sure with enough practice, it'll be second nature to me.

I main Mario and second GnW. I also play DK, Wario, Pit, and Ness on the side, though I'm definitely not as good with them.

it's almost like every other spacie has also won nearly every major or s/t

better make a passive-aggressive jab, because lord knows discussion is too difficult

Well, Bowser should be up-bing out of shield almost every time there is a ledge nearby anyways, and even many of the times there aren't. Did forget to mention characters with god tier OoS options though

An old lady asked me about the buttons I have on my jacket today.
I had to try to explain to her who Mr. Mxyzptlk was. I think she regretted ever asking.

I'd leave it at "He's a Superman character" and explain further in-depth if she seemed interested. Most of the time people aren't interested in a back-story of any detail, which is a shame.

What is your definition of a major because the only tournaments I would consider majors are:

Low Tier City: Winner used Wario and Ivy
Zenith 2013: Winner used Sonic
Bighouse 2: Winner use Ike

Guys, lately I've really been thinking.

I want PMBR to release Olimar because I have no idea what to expect from that ************ and my curiosity is going to kill me.

personally i hope he gets a major re-work, granted most brawl characters do so I trust he's in good hands
it would be nice to see careful pikmin play heavily rewarded rather than wreckless pikmin spam being moderately rewarded, to put it in vague terms. I'm sure there's plenty of ways to do it, and would probably make him both more fun to play as and more fun to olay against. How about, say, remove tether and give him a short double-jump like maneuver where he hops off a pikmin's head, killing it, I think that would be one great way to go about it, it'd have an onstage use too, temporarily endowing him with jiggs-like qualities at the cost of pikmin. That's been suggested before, i hope pmbr has considered it at some point. Make his pikmin slower to pull out, give him more control of the order, remove that silly pointless down-b armor, give him more control over how he throws the pikmin and more reward for hitting them (P:M environment will surely make them easier to avoid and easier to clean off, this might be a good way to mitigate that), and rework his normals in that magical way pmbr does that seems to work so well yet bewilders me.

who knows, maybe he won't be a nuisance in this game

Tomorrow's turbo tuesday should end with the MewTwo reveal, thumbs up up vote yeah this like dis if u agree

I wasn't curious until like a week ago.

Before that, I didn't give a damn about Olimar.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAw6bTOUyXg At the end I do WDOOS in slow-mo so maybe that'll somehow help you. Like DrinkingFood, I only use one trigger (L) to perform the thing. This was in the light press Wifi version but I do the same thing with the full press *though I enjoy light press being more comfortable.

At this point I would rather see Yoshi or Samus. Samus wasn't half bad to begin with, and Yoshi is a powerhouse just waiting to be unleashed upon the populace. Olimar is a character I see as a difficult case. He is campy as a hiker, has very little canonical inspiration for a Smash moveset, and what he does have OVER transitioned in Brawl. It's a shame Kirby is a coding nuisance, due to him having such an established series, a aerial game that has so much potential, and such a competitively untapped special moveset.

Kirby is the coding nuisance? As far as I've ever heard, the character not released yet primarily because of coding difficulties is Samus, i've never heard pmbr say that for kirby.

I can see Yoshi causing some serious damage if he's given the same shield opportunities that were standard in 64's cast, IE: JUMPING!!!!!
Samus could use a less awful short hop(It should be called SHORT hop for a reason people), and perhaps some SD Remix changes; although I'm somewhat certain the PMBR has a set of ideas themselves to let here become Project M worthy. As for Kirby, I really don't care if this move is canon or not; I WANT STONE TO JUST DIE AT THE GRIMY HANDS OF HUMANOID CADAVERS REPRESENTING THE ENTIRETY OF USELESS HITBOXES! That move is just ridiculously uninspired, outside of a few pretty models and easter eggs. I can see the other specials, or at least Side and Neutral special becoming something decent, but a move like that just feels out of place here. As for Icy's, I just see some buffs and wobble removal as clear priorities, though the PMBR gets all the time they need to deal with the hindrances of the double character thing.

Edit: Let me correct myself. Kirby is less of a coding nuisance than he is just something that has been implied won't be done until the other characters are ready to roll. Icy's are the characters I see as a true bane of coding here, though I'll let the members confirm of disprove this notion.

MOAR EDITS: Also, I suppose Yoshi deserves more than standard melee shield fare to make his Project M appearance. N64 FAir anyone? No moar egg roll maybe? I don't know, the PMBR has probably developed him past my foolish speculation anyway.

I wouldn't mind seeing some stone action in high level play. Maybe squashing Snake's recovery and laughing at the pitiful cypher thing...

If Samus, Yoshi, and IC are going to be so difficult to bring back, Kirby might as well get a shot first. I don't think that the original reason, waiting for everyone else in order to mimic their neutral special attacks properly, anticipated so many trouble characters. And are any of the melee vets going to have their specials changed? doubtful. Olimar seems like the only one who might have a revamped move set.

Someone should put a list of notable pool MUs together for the people at home to watch. :0

Off the top of my head I see Calabrel/M2K, heyseuss/scythe, and susan (cmart)/rusty shackleford.
